Jupiter, a new store in the basement of Tokyu Department Store, caught my eye with all the chocolates on display, especially with Valentine's Day approaching. I ended up buying a lot of chocolates that seemed reasonably priced. The Porta chocolate bar with berries inside was deliciously gooey and only cost less than 200 yen, which I thought was a great deal. I definitely want to buy it again! I also bought pancake mix for the first time. A friend recommended it, saying it was delicious. It has grated yam inside. I'm thinking of making it with chives that I bought!

Chilly weather continues in Sapporo as I made my first visit in June 2022. Today marks the opening of "YOSAKOI Soran" after a 3-year hiatus. Not being a special "Yosakoi fan", I decided to visit the "Vermeer and 17th Century Dutch Painting Exhibition" today. After a lunchtime drink, I took a leisurely stroll around Sapporo Station area. I heard that "JUPITER" has opened in the basement of Sapporo Tokyu Department Store on June 11th. While I'm more familiar with "Kaldi" from the Aeon group, I occasionally stop by "Jupiter Sapporo Store" as well. They have a good selection, although it overlaps with Kaldi. I also found the new "Jupiter" store at Sapporo Tokyu Department Store to be well-stocked and likely to be useful in the future. I bought some "California Raisins" for 177 yen to try making rum raisins tonight. They can be mixed into butter or put on ice cream for a delicious treat. Let's remember not to review things without actually purchasing them. And that's all from me, sung in the style of "Ueki Eiji" (laughs).

I haven't thoroughly researched, but is this the first time "Jupiter" has opened a store in a department store? "Jupiter Sapporo Tokyu Department Store" opened on 6/11/2022. I often visit other stores as well, but I feel like the merchandise in department stores is carefully curated to avoid overlap with other sections. The wine section seems to have a larger proportion compared to other stores. I purchased "Oil Sardine @227," which I have seen in many places but it's my first time buying it. When you bring it home... There are various ways to eat it, but a simple and delicious way is to open the can, place sliced onions on top, drizzle a little soy sauce, heat it in the oven until it bubbles, or you can also cook it on a gas stove if you're feeling lazy. You can also add finely chopped or grated garlic according to your preference. It's easy to cook even while camping and makes a perfect snack with alcohol. You can also eat it at room temperature and it can be used as emergency food, so I recommend stocking up on it. This one has a lemon flavor and tastes delicious (although taste preferences may vary). I will definitely buy it again. Thank you for the meal.
