Visited at 12:30, with two other customers already there. What's on the menu this week? Ah, it's Chinese fried rice with shrimp in a thick sauce! The dish was ready in just 15 minutes, as the other customers had to wait outside. The hot pot with the Chinese fried rice was served, and you could feel the heat. Then, the owner poured the sauce into the pot with a flourish! The performance was a hit, I might want to record it next time. I scooped some into a bowl and waited for it to cool down... Mmm, delicious! The dish included colorful bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, and bamboo shoots, all finely chopped. Of course, the shrimp was fresh and juicy, and the Chinese fried rice coated in the sauce was amazing. I hope they make this a regular menu item. The lunch this week was 1320 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

Feeling exhausted after the scorching hot day yesterday... Wife requested to go eat cold noodles to cool down??? But they didn't have any??? Even though it's a summer limited menu??? (^^; Regaining composure, we looked at the menu and decided on the weekly special menu. I had the shrimp in chili sauce with ice oolong tea, while my wife had the white fish and vegetable in black vinegar sauce with hot jasmine tea. The dishes arrived in 10 minutes, and both the shrimp in chili sauce and the black vinegar sauce were delicious with a crunchy texture... Wait, what is this?... It's ear mushrooms! My wife was pleased as it's good for beauty and health, haha. Shrimp in Chili Sauce 1320 yen, White Fish and Vegetable in Black Vinegar Sauce 1320 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

For peace of mind, I made a reservation by phone late the day before closing time. The owner was still working even though it was late! Reservation went smoothly and I headed to the restaurant wanting to eat delicious mapo tofu. I'm not a fan of green onions, but... - Lunch: Mapo tofu was just the right amount of spicy, not too hot. Plenty of minced meat, the texture of garlic sprouts, and the accent were delicious!! The salad that came with the set was also nice. - Lunch: Sweet and spicy fried chicken and eggplant. My partner had a hard time deciding, but was drawn to the sweet and spicy, fried chicken, and eggplant. The fried chicken was juicy!! The sweet and spicy sauce was delicious, and the eggplant, needless to say, was a perfect match. - Spring rolls: Crispy and delicious, it was a good addition. Overall, all of them had flavors and textures that we like. Looking forward to trying other menu items!!

I visited at 12 o'clock, there were no other customers at the disease god's place (^^; I tried their cold ramen, the "bou-bou chicken cool noodles", and the fried chicken. I ordered to the cool waitress. The food arrived in 10 minutes, I grabbed the noodles, mixed them round and round on the plate... It was delicious! I wish it had a bit more bold flavor. Next, I tried the fried chicken, it might have cooled off a bit? *crunch*... Wow, this is super delicious! I actually planned to take the leftover fried chicken home, but I ended up eating it all! The master chef was busy in the kitchen, I wish he would show his face once in a while (laughs). "Bou-bou chicken cool noodles" for 850 yen, chicken fried for 350 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

I was surprised when I entered the site of a famous tonkatsu restaurant, where there were 6 customers per group and it took less than 50 minutes to be served. The shrimp ankake yakisoba was delicious. As for the oil-drizzled chicken... And the way the side dishes were presented was a bit sloppy or lacking. It was quite different from the photos posted by others... Whether you consider it expensive or cheap for 1300 yen. If you want a leisurely course menu, or if you want to enjoy it with alcohol in the evening, it might be good.

I visited the restaurant at 12:30 with no other customers. It would be better to focus on popular dishes like dumplings, fried rice, shredded pork with green peppers, sweet and sour pork, etc., but that's none of my business. Their social media presence is lacking, which is frustrating... such a waste! The new waitress is very friendly, don't let her go! I ordered the shrimp yakisoba set with fried noodles, and it was served in 8 minutes. The crispy yet soft fried noodles were topped with plenty of shrimp, delicious! The pickled mountain burdock was an excellent side dish that went well with the rice. Shrimp yakisoba set for 1320 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

BGM is bossa nova♪ The Latin rhythm is soothing. I was guided to a counter seat and stared at the menu. I ordered pork and squid stir-fried with oyster sauce, a small amount of Chinese porridge, and oolong tea. The food was served in about 10 minutes. Oh, there's a small side dish included! It increased by 220 yen, but if the drink and side dish are included, it's actually a price reduction. I don't know the name of the dish (maybe simmered cartilage?), but this side dish is very delicious! The main dish, the meat is tender and the vegetables are crunchy and tasty. I find it troublesome to deal with change, so can it be arranged neatly for 1300 yen? Haha. Pork and squid stir-fried with oyster sauce for 1320 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

I had some expectations for this restaurant, but this time there was a price adjustment. Understandable in the current situation. The lunch set now ranges from 1,100 yen to 1,320 yen, but now it comes with a free drink. This time, I chose jasmine tea with a Chinese vibe. The lunch special of the week was "Stir-fried Pork and Chinese Cabbage" for 1,320 yen. The main dish had a generous portion of stir-fried pork and Chinese cabbage with a light salt-based seasoning, but it felt a bit too salty on this day. The side dish was a beef oyster stir-fry, which also had a strong flavor. The Chinese cabbage and salad were satisfying, and the egg soup was consistently delicious. While the potential of the restaurant is evident, we still haven't quite connected. Next time, I might try the chicken black pepper stir-fry or go for a rematch with the ankake yakisoba.

Lake Toya is said to be the restaurant where the owner trained at the Windsor Hotel. Weekly lunch specials for 1,100 yen include a choice of main dishes, and I chose the oil-drizzled chicken with Chinese porridge. The fried chicken was light and had a bit of tendon and fat. The oil-drizzled chicken sauce was simple, with a refreshing sourness from the vinegar. The soup was also delicious, and surprisingly, the "Chinese porridge" was the dark horse...with a delicate flavor and small shrimp, it may have been the most delicious part of the meal.

Sunny Saturday at 12 o'clock with no other customers, strange luck ^^; Ordered the Sichuan-style pork and mushroom stir-fry with a little rice. The Sichuan flavor was mild...it was delicious and the rice was great. The food was good, but why were there no other customers on a Saturday? Mixed reviews on other social media platforms. I wish they had a signature dish. The Sichuan-style pork and mushroom stir-fry was 1100 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

I finally visited the Chinese restaurant that opened in the place of Kitakura, the tonkatsu restaurant. As it was my first visit to a Chinese restaurant, I decided to check out my favorite dish, ankake yakisoba. I tried the beef ankake yakisoba, which is not very common in Chinese cuisine. The beef was incredibly tender and the seasoning was excellent! I was impressed by the quality of the food and I am definitely planning to visit this restaurant again.

The lunch menu is quite limited with options such as Ankake Yakisoba (with five ingredients) and rice changed to half-fried rice for an additional 100 yen, priced at 1100 yen. The main dish is the Ankake Yakisoba, which appears quite dark. The noodles and sauce don't seem to blend well together. The ingredients are adequate for the price, but there is a high proportion of mushrooms (wood ear, mushroom, enoki) and a lot of squid. I would prefer one quail egg and a couple of snow peas added. Personally, I would prefer to have the Ankake Yakisoba as a standalone dish rather than in a set. The fried rice is more mushy than fluffy. I would skip the salad and prefer to have soup instead. The restaurant interior is quite smoky, and even after returning home, the smell of smoke lingers on clothes. The floor is slippery, so be cautious. Due to the distance and other factors, I am unsure if I would revisit. The second parking lot where I parked still had a sign from the previous restaurant, "Tonkatsu no Kitakura."

I visited for lunch, there were two customers before me and one after me. I ordered the mapo tofu from the counter seat, and it was served hot in about 15 minutes. The flavor was on the sweet side, but it was delicious. However, just like last time, the rice was not good quality. I ended up eating it as a rice bowl. It was at a level where I couldn't ignore it, but since there were other customers, I decided not to mention it to the restaurant staff. Maybe they cook it specifically for fried rice? I will have to lower my rating this time. The weekly lunch special, mapo tofu, was 1100 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I used to work at a restaurant before and I love cooking. When I found out that this restaurant had opened here, I decided to visit from Muroran to Tomakomai. From the moment I parked my car, I was greeted with a warm "welcome". The staff served me cold water and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was bright and pleasant. For lunch, I ordered mapo tofu, black vinegar pork, and of course, dessert. The mapo tofu was delicious, with just the right amount of spice that would appeal to everyone. As a fan of Sichuan peppercorns, I would have loved to have the option to add more, but I understand that the menu changes weekly. The black vinegar pork was also tasty, with tender pork and vegetables in a tangy black vinegar sauce. The salad was pretty standard, but the pickles were refreshing and delicious. The soup was also tasty. I used to look forward to desserts at the previous restaurant, and today's jasmine tea pudding did not disappoint. The slightly bitter caramel followed by the refreshing flavor of jasmine tea made it delicious. Although it's a bit far for frequent visits, I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

The recommended weekly lunch special at this restaurant is the shrimp chili sauce with a little rice. Even though there were many customers waiting, the service was quick. The shrimp chili was delicious! The soup was amazing too! The salad was also tasty. Since the rice was not great that day, I turned it into a bowl and ate it that way haha. The total came out to 1100 yen for the weekly lunch special. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

A new Chinese restaurant opened in the western area of Tomakomai City. It is said that the chef is from Windsor Hotel, so my expectations were high. According to comments on Instagram by the "Sakanomi Danshaku of Muroran" (self-proclaimed nickname) Mr. Kurazou, he worked as the head chef at a Chinese restaurant in Muroran after leaving Windsor Hotel, and then opened a restaurant in Tomakomai. Yakisoba set (with five ingredients) with an option to change to fried rice for an additional 100 yen = 1,100 yen. The ankake yakisoba was cooked to a nice balance between hotel-quality and local-style. The taste of the sauce was light, but it was unclear if this was intentional. Personally, I felt that it could use a bit more depth of flavor. The ingredients were decent considering the price. However, the fried rice was a letdown. It was clumpy, had uneven cooking, and the strong sesame oil flavor overpowered the charm of fried rice. The ground meat did not seem to match well... This was disappointing. If the chef has the experience he claims, I hope to see his full potential in the serious dishes. The side dish of mountain kikurage mushrooms may be pre-made, but the salad with chicken char siu was delicious. Despite feeling a slight disconnect in the taste of the food compared to the chef's background, I would like to try other dishes at this restaurant once things settle down a bit.

On the second day of the opening, arrived at 11:20 am and was greeted by the neighboring car saying, "Hey, it starts at 11:30 here! The chef is from Windsor Hotel!" Sat at a table with friends after a 25-minute wait. The background music was healing music, which seemed out of place for the restaurant's atmosphere. Ordered a yakisoba set with less noodles and half fried rice. The food was served in about 15 minutes and upon tasting it, everything was delicious - the yakisoba, fried rice, and salad. As I ate, the taste seemed to change from a 4.0 to a 3.0 by the time I finished, which was a bit confusing. The lady next to me left most of her tantanmen uneaten. When I got up to leave, the staff told me to sit back down to settle the bill at the table. Congratulations on the opening! The total bill for the yakisoba set, half fried rice, and oolong tea was 1100 yen. Thank you for the meal!
