This is a popular restaurant with over 300 locations nationwide, but it was probably my first visit. Although it specializes in kushikatsu, the meat tofu was also delicious. There are several large TVs inside the restaurant, allowing customers to eat while watching TV. The high ceiling creates a spacious and open atmosphere, but the round chairs can be uncomfortable to sit in for a long time. However, I think sofas wouldn't really fit the vibe of the place. The staff were all friendly and energetic, although there were three mistakes with our orders, but it added to the charm of the experience.

I timidly entered Kushi Katsu Tanaka. I regret not being able to drink alcohol due to my poor health, but overall I was satisfied. It's nice to have a child-friendly atmosphere in the restaurant (even though my child is no longer a small child). I started with the classic 5-piece assortment and ordered other individual favorites like scallops, cod roe, rice cake, octopus wiener, etc. The freshly fried kushi katsu was delicious. The reasonable prices were also a plus. Children can play rock-paper-scissors with the staff for a free drink. I look forward to coming back when I'm feeling better, enjoying a highball in hand, and eating lots of kushi katsu. Used in July 2023.

The restaurant has a raised seating area and plenty of toys, making it very child-friendly. They offer great services for children and it's a comfortable place to be. The kushikatsu skewers were all delicious and the drinks were fun too.

I was planning to take a stroll around the neighborhood near Hiragishi Station and grab a quick bite to eat, so I ended up here. They had two soft drinks for 100 yen each. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I visited this place probably many years ago before starting my food blog, but this time it tasted even better! It wasn't greasy at all. And the attentiveness of the person who seemed to be the manager was amazing! It felt like they could hear everything happening in the entire restaurant. I finished up in about an hour and headed home! I wonder if they will focus more on takeout from tomorrow onwards? There was no information about it yet!

I had never tried Osaka's famous kushikatsu in the local area before, so I decided to give it a try. I read reviews on Tabelog and felt like having some fried food, so I went there. I ordered a large beer and chose a set of 5 kushikatsu items including shrimp, onion, lotus root, beef kushikatsu, and a mix of beef kushikatsu. The cabbage appetizer was all-you-can-eat for 250 yen. The staff were efficient, and the sauce was a bit thin at first, but tasted better when blended with the spicy sauce on the table. The lotus root was my favorite, with a sweet and crunchy texture. I also ordered additional items like pickled ginger, scallops, and ham kushikatsu. The fried food was not too heavy, but beer and cabbage were necessary accompaniments. I had another drink called "Tanaka's Original Sour" and finished with yakisoba. The noodles were thin and sweet, but tasted better with a bit of spicy sauce. Although I was satisfied with the food, I didn't see any special deals for repeat customers or winners of the game they offer. I paid over 3000 yen for the meal, but the menu was diverse enough that you don't necessarily have to focus on just the kushikatsu.

In recent years, Kushi Katsu Tanaka has been growing rapidly. We tried to go to a nearby izakaya called Kamigashima, but even though we arrived at 5:10 PM, it was already full and we couldn't get in without a reservation. So we decided to go to Kushi Katsu Tanaka instead. The freshly fried kushi katsu is delicious as expected! The a la carte dishes are cheap, with a wide variety of options, both meat and vegetables, and they are all delicious. There are many options for all-you-can-drink, so we were satisfied. The young and energetic staff members are friendly and the atmosphere is lively. In the past, affordable izakaya chain restaurants were often low quality, but these days, popular izakaya chains offer good value for money and have great food and service. I decided to go to Kushikatsu Tanaka after a long time. This was because the comedian Miyasako was running a crowdfunding campaign where, for 20 million yen, he would operate as "Kushikatsu Miyasako" for a month at all locations. The menus and hand towels even had Miyasako's drawings on them. For the limited-time menu in July, there was Miyasako's original highball, Miyasako salad, Miyatako, and a limited quantity of red snapper katsu. The highball had a spicy yet fruity flavor which I enjoyed. The Miyasako salad was delicious, with bamboo shoots mixed in spicy mayonnaise. Miyatako was different from the takoyaki usually found at Kushikatsu Tanaka, as it was made with Miyasako's recipe for mayonnaise. It was cooked on gas rather than a hot plate, so I was worried about burning it, but following Miyasako's tips on YouTube for cooking takoyaki helped me get it right. For the red snapper katsu, it was recommended to pour soy sauce instead of sauce, giving it a refreshing taste. Even though it wasn't listed on the menu, I was able to order it as there was a poster for it. When ordering a Miyasako menu item, you get to draw a lottery ticket, with the A prize being a beer mug. I hope I can win it next time I visit during this period.

I went to Kushikatsu Miyasako. It was my first time at Kushikatsu Tanaka. Overall, it's cheap and enjoyable for kids. There was a wide variety of choices. The most delicious one was the eel. Dip the eel in the sauce and sprinkle with sansho pepper, it's soft and delicious inside. I was looking forward to the pickled ginger and it tasted just as I expected. My kids enjoyed making their own Miyatako and adjusting the coarseness of the potato salad. They also kept asking for seconds of the Oreo kushikatsu with chocolate sauce. I tried katsu curry udon for the first time and the fat from the meat was tasty. The saiboshi was smoked horse meat, similar to eating horse sashimi. It was a perfect appetizer. If you order the Miyasako menu, they let you draw a Miyasako lottery. I wanted a glass, but only got a sticker... Well, I'll definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first time at Kushikatsu Tanaka. It was around 8pm on a weekday and there were still plenty of seats available. I wanted to have a casual drink, so I decided to stop by. I ordered a lemon sour and a highball. I quickly played Chinchirorin and won a free lemon sour, but the highball was twice the price and twice the amount. It was quite enjoyable! Going alone may be a bit embarrassing, but the staff were friendly. Of course, I mainly ate kushikatsu, and each skewer was delicious. I can't remember which one was the most delicious. I didn't think I ate that much, but the bill was reasonable. It's a kushikatsu place that feels like a yakitori restaurant. It's convenient to visit. I will definitely be back.

This is my second visit to Kushikatsu Tanaka. I wanted to have a light drink but didn't have much money, so I decided to stop by Tanaka. It's great that they are open until 2 am, making it easy to enter. The interior is visible, the alcohol is not too expensive, and it's not too noisy. I was already full from Taoka, so I had two of my favorites, the Cookies and Cream kushikatsu. Whoever invented this is a genius. I also had the Ume Kyu, which was light. The cabbage appetizer with salt is always a stable choice. If you're hungry and want to eat a lot, this place is recommended for the second stop. I ordered Tanaka's original sour and an Matcha sour. The Matcha sour surprisingly paired well with oily foods and sweet foods. The Tanaka's original sour was delicious, with a lemon sour base and various citrus flavors, and it was quite tasty. They have a dice game where if you roll an even number, you get a discount, odd number gets a larger portion, and if you roll a double, it's free. It was quite a deal with even numbers and larger portions. For someone like me who has a limit of about 4 drinks, ordering individual items is recommended! It cost us 3500 yen for two people. On regular days, I can't make it in time for the happy hour deals, so I ended up enjoying highballs while playing chinchirorin. The 100 yen sale on all tempura skewers was a great incentive to come in. The entire restaurant is non-smoking, so families were noticeable this day. I started with a beer, which was quite delicious. The cabbage for refills was really tasty and crunchy, especially with the mustard. Then, I tried various tempura skewers - beef, pork, shrimp, quail eggs, onions, lotus root, corn, and curry balls, which were all delicious. The curry balls went really well with the mustard. The cheese skewer was the stretchy type that's popular now, and it was also very good. I ordered a lot, but I finished everything because it was so delicious. I also ordered 20 takoyaki, which you get to cook yourself here. It was fun, and even as an amateur, I was able to cook them perfectly - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and very tasty. As for the chinchirorin games today, I ended up losing 2 games, drawing 1, and winning none, so I ended up drinking a lot of highballs. By the way, the system for chinchirorin here is as follows: you roll two dice simultaneously in a bowl, and if you get the same number (double), you get a free highball, if the total is an even number, you get a half-priced highball, and if the total is an odd number, you have to buy a mega highball at cost. I went out with my friends to have a night out and we decided to go to Kushikatsu Tanaka in Hiragishi. It was my first time eating kushikatsu outside, so I was looking forward to it. When we arrived at the restaurant around 5pm, there were about 3 groups of customers. The restaurant was quite spacious. We were seated at the counter. The staff were all young, with the girls serving and the boys cooking, probably university students. They were all chatting while working. In addition to kushikatsu, there were various other menu items such as smoked horse meat, yakisoba, and pork cutlet rice bowl. We ordered a lot and ended up eating so much that we were full.

The thin and crispy, not greasy, delicious kushikatsu at "Kushikatsu Tanaka" is so good that you can eat as many as you want! Sometimes I crave it and visit this place. Their highball with strong carbonation is delicious. They have a fun game where you pick a dice and if you get an odd number, you get a mega-sized drink, even number is half price, and if you get doubles, it's free! On this day, I got a mega-sized drink first, then half price for the next two, so I ended up getting four drinks for the price of two! It's a great deal. Enjoying the crispy kushikatsu with drinks and then moving on to the next place is a good idea. They also offer all-you-can-drink options, so you can enjoy a leisurely drink. Kushikatsu Tanaka is always bustling. You can see inside the restaurant from outside, so it's easy to tell how crowded it is (lol). The restaurant has about 20-30 seats. I took a picture of the kushikatsu, but the data got deleted, so here's a photo of the beef tendon and egg appetizer I ordered. The beef tendon was tender, but I prefer a stronger seasoning! The egg was just a regular boiled egg. Cabbage comes as a side dish, so it's good for refreshing your palate! This place is definitely known for its kushikatsu! Overall, everything was delicious, but what impressed me the most was the Oreo kushikatsu. It's sweet. It's like a dessert, calorie bomb. But once you try it, you'll be hooked. It's really delicious, whoever came up with this is a genius (´▽`). Kushikatsu goes well with highball. It's an izakaya, but there were families with kids, so it seems okay. It might be a bit cramped though. This is a restaurant that you'll want to visit again and again. It's a chain, but the food is really good, and the sauce is delicious too. I'll be back soon!

Sapporo City, Higashi 2-jo 7-chome. Close to Higashi Station, along Higashi Street. This place opened a few years ago. It used to be a different restaurant before. What was it again? My memory is getting fuzzy lately. I went to my usual izakaya at 5:00, but it was full with reservations, so I came here instead. I've been to this place many times, but this is my first review. I ordered a highball with Jim Beam. Sometimes a bourbon highball is refreshing. The highballs here come with a dice game, where rolling doubles gets you a free drink. Rolling an even total gets you half off, and an odd total doubles the size but also the price. It's a good deal if you plan to have two drinks. I didn't play the game this time because I planned to have a different drink for my second one. I ordered four skewers: onion, white leek, pork cutlet, and saury. The saury might have been a limited menu item. I always enjoy the onion skewers, but the white leek (long green onion) was surprisingly delicious. I also added a whiskey highball and a spicy pork dish. The spicy pork dish sounded tasty just from the name. It's a generous serving of sweet and spicy cooked pork. A hearty dish that goes well with drinks. It was still early, but one customer seemed quite drunk. They were making suggestive comments to the staff, but the staff handled it with a smile and deftly deflected. Despite the situation, the staff continued to serve with a smile. They have a high level of skill and likability. Thank you for the meal.

On weekdays, we enjoyed almost all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. Even though there were only two of us, we were able to use the private tatami room in the back. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. They deserve a higher rating! We will definitely visit again.

One of the great things about this place is that they open early, which is perfect for those who prefer to eat out during the day. Sometimes, you might find that the staff is handling everything on their own right after opening, so it's important to be patient and show them some appreciation. The woman working there is always working hard and greets you with a smile, even when it's busy. It's a reliable chain with delicious food - definitely a must-visit place.
