July 25, 2022, First Visit "62nd Ramen Shop of 2022" I ate at Yamaoka family before moving on to the next shop. It's not that far away, but... I can handle it after having a regular serving (laughs). Oh, I've been here before this shop became this shop. At Hacchome No Fukurou, it was an off-peak time during lunch so there were no other customers. I purchased a miso ramen from the ticket machine and sat at the counter seats. It seems like the owner is managing everything alone. When I handed over the ticket, the cooking quietly started. It took about 6 minutes to get my bowl. Oh, it looks elegant from the appearance. Looks promising! I took a sip of the soup. I see, this is a good taste! It's the first time I've had a chicken white miso that is so solidly finished. It's refreshing but has a solid umami taste. The soup is intentionally foamy, which I usually don't like, but it might work with this soup. Now the noodles. I think it was Kobayashi's noodles, quite firm noodles with a high water content. It's a good noodle, but I'm not sure if it goes well with this soup. The bamboo shoots were well done without any peculiar taste, which was nice. The chashu had a firm appearance, but it was quite tender. It was a bit bland for my taste. I thought the chicken white miso was of a high level, but I felt there was room for reconsideration regarding the noodles. I had miso this time, but I confirmed that it's basically a solid ramen, so I would like to try soy sauce or salt next time. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

Visit on 2023.9.12! Owl Miso Ramen for 1,100 yen and Chashu Onigiri for 150 yen. The ramen had two types of chashu, four slices in total, very tender, with medium-thick curly noodles which I like. The soup was a sweet and rich miso based on chicken broth, a soup that you can drink until the last drop. As for the Chashu Onigiri, the chashu was finely chopped, with a hint of sansho pepper flavor, but I prefer the Chashu Onigiri from Gojo Hara. There is no parking lot, so I was hesitant to visit by car, but since it's close to my home, I visited by bicycle. It started pouring rain while I was eating, and I got completely soaked on my way back home. It was my 5th day of not smoking, so I really craved a cigarette after drinking most of the soup (I managed to resist). There seems to be a branch in Higashi-Sapporo, so I would like to visit the branch next time.

I decided to take a leisurely stroll down Tanukikoji Street and ended up choosing this restaurant for a bowl of ramen. Despite being tempted by the Genghis Khan and ramen shops nearby, I was drawn to this place. As usual, I selected the option on the top left of the ticket machine. There were about three other customers ahead of me. I noticed a man enjoying a bowl of bright red ramen. I wonder what that menu item was. When my ramen arrived, it smelled amazing and the rich flavor was just right for me. The noodles were also chewy and delicious. I would love to come back here again.

Owl Miso is a small shop with a few counter seats, where the specialty Owl Miso ramen costs 1100 yen. On the day of the visit, there were only female customers. I bought the Owl Miso ramen from the ticket machine, which had a rich and flavorful chicken broth soup with slightly thick curly noodles, seasoned egg, two types of chashu (pork belly and loin), soft bamboo shoots, and green onions. In conclusion, it was quite delicious! The rich soup paired well with the noodles and all the toppings had their own unique flavors, making it a ramen that I enjoyed. I would like to try the salt and soy sauce flavors too!

Visited for a business lunch. Ordered the "Owl Soy Sauce" and "Char Siu Onigiri". The ramen was soy sauce-based but with a slightly stronger salty taste. Overall, it was delicious. I quite liked the flavor. The char siu was also slightly seared, giving it a nice aroma and taste. I would like to try the spicy miso next time.

After drinking at a seafood izakaya in Susukino, we stopped by for a final ramen at a place called "Hacchome no Fukurou" on the outskirts of the bustling area where there were few people around. We had initially planned to go to "Sumire" or "Shingen," but the long queues made us give up. Without any prior research, we chose this place as there were about 4 people waiting, indicating that it must be good! We ordered the "shio ramen with flavored egg" priced at 880 yen plus 120 yen for the egg. The previous ramen we had was miso-based, so we were craving something lighter this time. The bowl that arrived was small with less soup, more of a clear type. The soup seemed to be chicken white broth, and it was rich in flavor. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, similar to the yellow ones in miso ramen. As expected, the flavor was quite strong, but when we added the fish powder provided, the deliciousness returned. It wasn't exactly light, but it was a tasty bowl of ramen. Thank you for the meal!

I visited around 12:30 on a regular day. They have a system where you buy a meal ticket first. I was in the mood for a salty ramen to feel refreshed, so I ordered the "Fukurou Shio" for 1050 yen. It's a deluxe version with seasoned egg and 4 slices of chashu pork. The ramen arrived promptly. Even though they were short-staffed, with just two people working, they still brought the ramen to my seat at the counter. The soup base is a chicken white broth which goes well with the salt flavor. The noodles are from Kobayashi Seimen, and they are medium-thick curly noodles that blend well with the soup and have a good texture. The chashu pork consists of two slices of red meaty loin and two slices of well-marbled belly, allowing for a variety of flavors until the last bite. It was a delicious meal!

I randomly walked into this shop, but the chicken broth ramen was rich and delicious, not too heavy. It was the best ramen I've ever had. The flavor of the chicken was strong, and the noodles were chewy and bouncy, a perfect match. Usually, I like to change the taste of my ramen, but this ramen was delicious from start to finish.

"Yachoume no Fukurou" is a ramen restaurant specializing in chicken white broth ramen, located near the Kaitoriberuka chicken restaurant in Sapporo. I went there with a friend for an event in Sapporo. Although the event only lasted about an hour, we didn't have much time to do anything else that day. We ended up in Susukino for a quick meal. The restaurant has only 9 counter seats and operates with a ticket vending machine. We ordered a bottle of Akaboshi beer and tried the salt and soy sauce ramen, both made with chicken white broth. The ramen was unexpectedly light and the noodles were from Kobayashi Seimen. It was delicious but felt like something was missing. As more customers came in, the place quickly filled up, so we left after finishing our beers."

After enjoying delicious gelato at Gelateria, my wife went to Hedgehog Coffee Shop while I visited Fukurou in Hatchobori for the first time. I tried the Akaboshi Miso Ramen with a rich and creamy chicken broth soup. The custom-made medium-thick curly noodles from Kobayashi Seimen were a perfect match for the soup. The menma and char siu were also delicious, showing great attention to detail. It was my first visit, but the food was so delicious that I added it to my list of favorite places to eat!

I asked the hotel staff for a recommended ramen shop and they guided me to this place. They specialize in chicken broth and are particular about their noodles. I ordered the miso ramen. The noodles were delicious as they were special. The soup had a complex blend of flavors and a nice broth aroma, but it didn't leave me amazed or speechless. I think the salt ramen would have allowed me to feel the goodness of the chicken more.

Endo Building 1F, 8-7-4 Minami 3-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. A ramen shop located right at the corner of Tanukikoji 7-chome to 8-chome in Sapporo's Chuo-ku. There used to be a ramen shop here before. White noren curtain at the entrance. Visited around 1:30 pm on April 30 during the Golden Week holidays. Inside, there is a ticket machine right to the right. The counter seats surround the kitchen. There were four customers before me, followed by a solo male and a group of two females. This is a chicken white broth ramen shop. Posters on the wall include Yachome no Fukurou, Yakiniku Prime, and Tsukeshabu Sato. They seem to be affiliated. - Fukurou Shio Ramen: ¥1050. It comes with a soft-boiled egg and 4 slices of chashu. It took about 10 minutes for the ramen to be served, and the shio ramen comes in a smaller bowl compared to other flavors. The bowl was packed with chashu, egg, menma, and green onions, making it look quite crowded. The creamy white broth had a smooth and easy-to-drink taste, with the chicken flavor not overpowering. It was slightly on the lighter side, so I added grated garlic and black pepper from the counter to enhance the richness of the soup. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles from Kobayashi Seimen, typical of Sapporo ramen, but I personally prefer thinner straight noodles with shio ramen. The soft-boiled egg had a nice flavor and runny yolk, which I enjoyed. The chashu consisted of slices from both belly and thigh meat, thinly sliced. The menma was the pointed type. A small dish of fish powder was provided, which I added to the soup later for extra flavor. Overall, I finished the ramen and would like to try the shoyu and miso flavors next time.

Located in Tanuki Koji in Chuo Ward, Sapporo City, Hokkaido, this ramen shop is a must-visit. Walk through the stylish curtain and enter the shop. Let's order! Miso Ramen for 880 yen, with an additional flavored egg for 120 yen. The aroma coming from the bowl is so comforting. The soup, made only with chicken and simmered for a long time, is full of flavor. The noodles are a special order from Kobayashi Seimen, and they go perfectly with the soup, providing a satisfying chewiness. The chashu pork is not melt-in-your-mouth tender, but it has a unique texture that sets it apart. You can feel the owner's dedication in every aspect of the shop. In addition to miso ramen, they also offer soy sauce and salt flavors, which I'm curious to try next time. I'll definitely come back again someday. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Susukino Tanukikoji is a ramen restaurant located in the 8th block. The interior has about 10 counter seats. It used to be a salt ramen specialty shop. It operates on a food ticket system. I wish they had mentioned that at the beginning. I remember they had the usual 3 types of ramen, but I can't recall the other flavors. I chose the miso flavor. I went for the topping that comes with various ingredients and it cost around 1000 yen. The soup was quite mellow and it came with two types of chashu. I prefer the type with less fat. I would like to try the other flavors as well.

Located a bit off the main arcade in Tanukikoji 8-chome, this ramen shop caught my eye with its inviting atmosphere. Finally, I had the chance to visit and try their ramen. The soup is a rich chicken white broth simmered for a long time, blended with three types of miso for a sophisticated flavor. The noodles are custom-made by Kobayashi Seimen, with a strong chewy texture that complements the soup well. The char siu is a highlight, with two types of char siu - one made from red meat loin and the other from belly meat, both seasoned uniquely and cooked to perfection. The char siu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Overall, a delightful dining experience.

Today I had lunch at a restaurant in the Tanuki 7-8 area on a weekday. The spice ramen and lamb meat specialty shops were closed, and the one-coin ramen shop had a long line. But it's okay! I decided to try this place for the first time. Without researching, I jumped in and found a ticket machine. I quickly chose soy sauce ramen with a flavored egg topping for a perfect 1,000 yen. I fell for their pricing strategy, they are clever. I settled down at the counter at the back, thinking about why I chose soy sauce when there was miso or chicken white broth with salt available. Soon, my ramen arrived, the flavored egg looked great. The default white leeks were also nice. First, I tried the soup, it had a subtle chicken white broth flavor, a bit on the salty side. Then, the noodles - medium-thick curly noodles with high water content. I refrained from slurping to be considerate of the Western person next to me. It was delicious, but it didn't quite match the soup for me. The bamboo shoots were good, and I liked the flavored egg. The chashu was cooked at low temperature, with both loin and belly cuts. Personally, I prefer a thicker, tender chashu over the two thinner slices. When I started slurping the noodles with the food, the deliciousness level went up! I wonder if the flavor would be milder with miso instead of soy sauce? I could sense various efforts put into the dish, but it felt a bit mismatched to me. While I often want to finish the soup completely with chicken white broth, this one didn't make me feel that way. Thank you for the meal! If I come back, I would like to try miso, or maybe spicy miso. (I had a past experience where soy sauce was too salty, and only spicy miso was perfect at a picky restaurant.)

I came to a cute ramen shop near the hotel where I stayed. I tried miso ramen, which I don't usually eat. I'm not a fan of overly strong miso ramen, but the one here was not too strong and easy to eat.

I had lunch at Owls in Hachijo Avenue. I didn't know "owl" was written like that in kanji. It's located at the entrance of 8th Avenue, after passing through Tanukikoji 7th Avenue without an arcade. It's a small restaurant with about 10 seats at an L-shaped counter. The atmosphere, with the noren curtain and all, gives off a trendy ramen vibe. Since they seem to recommend miso, I ordered the miso ramen. The soup is made only with chicken, creating a chicken white broth. It seems they blend three types of miso. The noodles are the familiar medium-thick curly noodles from Sapporo. The chicken white broth and miso go well together. The richness is complemented by a strong miso flavor. It was excellent. Thank you for the meal.

Miso Ramen 880 Kobayashi Seimen: 3 types of rich miso flavors, chicken broth with a buttery aroma. It seemed like a mix of Aglio and chicken broth, quite salty with a hint of potato chips. Combining white broth and miso is challenging, so they must be trying different things. It didn't appeal to me personally.

I went to Yachoumenokamo for lunch on a Saturday when I had to work. The restaurant has recently been renovated, and there is no parking lot, so you have to use a nearby coin parking. They only have counter seats, and you order your meal from a ticket machine. I ordered the "Owl Shio Ramen (with special chashu x2, ajitama x1) for 1,050 yen." The special chashu was really delicious, with two different types to choose from, and the ajitama was also great. I was very satisfied with this dish.

I revisited the restaurant for a drinking party and only uploading photos this time. I ordered the "Salt Ramen (880 yen)" as the final dish. The chicken white broth soup was slightly rich and more flavorful than the "Miso" I had last time, which was delicious. If you like chicken white broth, I think the "Salt" option is better.
