This is my first visit since the renovation, and the atmosphere has changed quite a bit. It's a cafe specializing in bread and light meals called "Hokkaido Brasserie Lila." Located on the 1st floor of Art Hotel Asahikawa, 6-chome, 7-jo, Asahikawa City. Operating hours are from 11:00 to 21:00, open every day. Parking available, non-smoking. Their website is https://asahikawa-lilas.com/
Previously, it operated as a bakery and sweets shop called "Art Hotels Patisserie Lila." However, since spring 2018, with the name change of the parent company from "Art Hotels" to "Art Hotel," this shop has also been renovated. But bread still seems to be the main focus here. Many customers were seen selecting bread and lining up at the cashier. Since the renovation, they also offer various lunch options for dining in, and in that case, you need to order and pay at the cashier first. The lunch menu includes bread, curry, and gratin. I decided to try the curry plate with Hokkaido three-element pork for 1000 yen (excluding tax). The presentation was beautiful, with salad and other items neatly arranged. The curry had a refined taste with a hint of tomatoes, and the three-element pork was delicious. The seafood pan gratin was also rich and creamy, with a good amount of vegetables. Overall, the food was well-prepared and tasty. I also bought some bread for lunch the next day, including a curry bread and an apple pie. The quality of the bread was impressive, reflecting the original focus of the shop. Overall, the food was delicious, and there is room for improvement to make the experience even better.
