I went to Sapporo and stopped by a shop that was featured on TV by Taka and Toshi! It was easy to find as it was located on a corner at a crossroads. The top recommendation was the Plain Baum, but I bought the Chocolate Baum and Maple Baum instead! The staff explained that they have a shelf life of about 5 days, which was good to know. If I have the chance to visit Sapporo again, I might consider buying them as souvenirs!

When I had to go to Sapporo for some business, my wife spotted a shop as we walked by and we decided to visit it together this time. The shop wasn't very big, but the display case was filled with various baum cakes. When I tried it, it was not so much like baumkuchen, but more like a moist, fluffy chiffon cake, and it was very delicious. I would love to try other flavors as well. Thank you for the meal (^-^)

In 2022, there is a Baumkuchen specialty store in Sojo City, East Fukuoka, which offers 10 varieties of fluffy and moist Baumkuchen. By the afternoon, there are only 7 varieties left, so it's recommended to reserve if you have a specific one in mind. The Baumkuchen is about 10cm tall, and the plain one costs 700 yen while the flavored ones cost 800 yen. I bought 3 "Brulee" for gifts and one for myself. It was fluffy and moist, not too dense, but it does absorb moisture. The crispy sweet surface goes well with milk. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I went to "Mr. Baum" to buy souvenirs after reading wu-ta's review and thought it might be a good choice. The staff were very kind gentlemen. They sold various flavors of baum cakes, all priced at 800 yen. I chose the "strawberry chocolate coating" flavor. When I tried it later, the baum cake was coated with strawberry chocolate or white chocolate on the surface. The texture was fluffy and moist, with a light but substantial feel. It was easy to eat and had a balanced sweetness, with a distinct taste of egg yolk. The baum cake was well-made without being dry, as expected from a specialty store. The combination of the slightly sweet chocolate coating and the mildly sweet cake was personally my favorite. The chocolate was firm on the outside but melted smoothly in the mouth, adding to the deliciousness. It was a luxurious experience to enjoy the moist, fluffy, and crispy textures all at once. This was my first time trying baum cake from a specialty store, and it completely changed my perception from the dry and hard convenience store versions. It was truly delicious without any flattery. I would like to try other flavors and visit again. Thank you for the meal.

On the way back from the Chitose Crane Museum, I found a shop that caught my eye. It was a Baumkuchen specialty store. When I entered the shop, I found it to be quite cute. The lined up Baumkuchen looked adorable as well. I was interested in the Brulee and Maple flavors, but today I bought the Brulee. It was fluffy. I had always imagined Baumkuchen to be denser, but cutting into it was like cutting a sponge cake. It was so light and fluffy. Even when I ate it, it was soft and had a gentle egg flavor. It was delicious in its own way. Thank you for the meal.

On a day off, after having lunch and dessert in the city center, we decided to visit this place based on a recommendation from my friend who was with me. I had been curious about this place since it opened, but it was hard to visit due to its location. However, since we were already in the city center, it was a good opportunity to go. Upon entering the shop, a friendly staff member came out from the back. There were about 10 types of Baumkuchen displayed in the showcase, all looking delicious. There were both traditional ones and some unique ones, all of which caught my interest. I decided to try the Baumkuchen Brulee, which intrigued me the most, and the Chocolate Crunch because I love chocolate. I also received a piece of the end as a service, so I tried that first. The Baumkuchen had a distinct eggy flavor, with a light and moist texture that was delicious. The Brulee had a caramelized sugar topping, adding a nice crunchy texture to the soft Baumkuchen, with a good balance of sweetness and a hint of smokiness. The Chocolate Crunch was coated with chocolate crunch, providing a nice contrast of sweetness, bitterness, and crunchiness, which was also delicious. The Baumkuchen was delicious, and the customer service and atmosphere of the shop were great. I would definitely like to visit again. Next time, I want to try a different type of Baumkuchen. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

As a lover of Baumkuchen, I had been curious about this shop that I had seen on Instagram before it even opened. When I visited in the afternoon, there was still a wide selection of all the varieties available. And guess what! They had added new flavors! Each piece still had paper stuck to the center, so be sure to peel it off before eating! ・Plain Baum I didn't take a photo, but I was able to try a piece of the Plain Baum! It was moist with a texture like a cross between steamed bread and chiffon cake. It had a strong egg flavor, which I really liked! ・Brulee Baum This one was chilled and even moister than the Plain Baum, with a fluffy and chewy texture that I loved...! Plus, it had caramelized sugar on top, making it extra sweet! For those with a sweet tooth, definitely give this a try!! After eating this, I thought about chilling the others as well... ・Almond Crunch Baum This was a recent addition to their lineup, and being a fan of almonds, I was drawn in by the visual presentation. However, perhaps due to being tightly wrapped in plastic to prevent drying out, being stored in the fridge, or just the nature of the product, the expected crunchy almond texture was lacking, and it was rather soft... I didn't really get the aroma or texture of almonds. I had imagined a crunchy texture, so I thought I would have been better off sticking with the Plain Baum (not much difference). It may vary by individual piece, but the texture was not as moist and dense, even when chilled, it had a light and fluffy feel. While some people may like this, my personal favorite was the Brulee Baum. I'm also curious about the one piece that has a different color, I'm sure it's moist and delicious. It has a good shelf life, so it's suitable for singles (which is important to me personally). If you like steamed bread or chewy chiffon cakes, this Baumkuchen might be right up your alley. On the other hand, if you prefer to peel off the layers as you eat, it might not be exactly what you're looking for. It's quite the opposite of Croissant Tanaka or Nenrinya's solid sprout Baum. Thinking about it, it's similar to Nenrinya's soft sprout or Moist series. It's like a slightly firmer version of those. Personally, I enjoyed this kind of chewy and moist Baumkuchen, so even though the location is a bit inconvenient, I hope they do well...! Oh, and they also have Mini Baum, which is a more manageable size! I'm glad I got to try them this time! Thank you, Wu-ta-san!!! (((orz

I watched Totoron's yesterday and went there today! I ordered the Chocolate Coating Baum for 800 yen. The moist Baum cake is drizzled with sweet chocolate. The sweetness was just right and I could eat it up in no time! Next time, I'll try the Creme Brulee Baum! As of September 22, 2021, please note that the map is incorrect. The shop is located across from the Maibasuketto at Minami 4-jo Higashi 4-chome. I wonder if it's run by a family? It was a very friendly atmosphere at the shop!

Opened on September 22, 2021! It's a specialty store for Baumkuchen. I happened to pass by the store the day before the opening and found out about today's opening. I had a feeling it was about time to open, so I decided to check it out. They were selling 5 types of Baumkuchen, and I bought the plain one for 700 yen and the brulee for 800 yen. I also received a Baumkuchen "ear" as a bonus. I think I'll have the "ear" in a few days. I tried the plain one. Delicious! Then I tried the brulee. Oh, delicious! The difference is that the plain one has something coated on the surface before baking. So, the plain one has a bit more sweetness and tastes even better. That's why Totoron says not to eat sweet things too often. I can only write about this much, so gourmet experts, please take over. And am I still being silly with the map? ┐(-。-;)┌
