I went to this restaurant because I wanted to eat tuna. I was excited to see that they also serve chicken tataki, so I decided to give it a try. However, when I asked for the tuna menu, I found out that almost half of the menu items were no longer available. I ended up ordering a tuna sashimi platter, which was okay with the chu-toro and akami, but the mebachi was not so great. The chicken tataki was a bit tough and lacked flavor. I would like to visit this restaurant again, but it may be difficult to go back anytime soon.

The restaurant is connected to the neighboring izakaya Okaru, so you can also order from their menu. This is great! The otoshi with four small dishes for 400 yen is delicious and worth it. I tried the maguro zangi, tail steak, and sashimi. The tail steak was impressive! It was a great new experience.

The restaurant Magoo is located in the same kitchen as the Kazanbetkan, with both establishments operating separately on the left and right sides. Magoo has a total of 28 seats and customers can also dine in the neighboring establishment. This is a double-named restaurant, but the overall impression of the food was not as good as expected. The dishes ordered included a variety of items such as smoked duck, whale sushi, and a dish with eggs, all of which were decent. The whale sushi, in particular, had a delicious texture and paired well with the rock salt seasoning. The silky tofu with umeboshi was also a favorite, with a good combination of flavors. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the beer and shochu selection was satisfactory. Overall, the experience was decent, but there were some dishes that stood out more than others. The location and the chain restaurant status may affect the overall quality and freshness of the food. The service and ambiance were good, but the overall rating was average.
