Here, I used the Shimme Parfait, which has become a part of the Susukino culture. With this, I have now conquered all three of Sato-san's main stores! On a weekday evening, there were about 6 people waiting in line, and we waited for about 30 minutes to get in. Inside, there are 14 seats in this famous Shimme Parfait shop. I ordered the limited edition "Melon and Lime Mint" parfait. Each parfait is carefully made, so it takes some time. After waiting for about 30 minutes after being seated, the parfait arrived. The top layer of melon milk chocolate was delicious with a rich milky flavor. Inside, there were mostly melon fruit, which blended well with the refreshing taste of lime. Ultimately, the menus at Sato-san's three main stores are almost the same, so it may be best to go to the one with the shortest line. Also, the level of satisfaction can vary slightly depending on the item you order, but personally, I recommend the "Strawberry and Cheese" parfait! Thank you for the meal!

When I came to Sapporo, I decided to try the famous nighttime parfait that I saw on TV before. I skipped dessert at dinner and went to try the parfait around 9 pm. There was a wait for one group, but luckily I got in after about 30 minutes. The place was smaller than I remembered, with only a counter. I ordered a strawberry and cheese parfait with hot coffee. The mascarpone cheese paired well with the strawberries, and it was delicious without being too sweet. I usually get tired of parfaits halfway through, but this one was enjoyable until the end. The coffee cup was also lovely. The staff was very friendly, and it was a great dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

After drinking for about 2 hours, I decided to visit this place. I arrived at the main store around 11pm, but there was a long line, so I went to "Hanare" located at the back. Although there was still a line, it was shorter here so I decided to wait. After about 30 minutes, I finally got in. It was a cold day in May, around 6°C, so my buzz had worn off by then. This place had a bar-like atmosphere with only a counter. I ordered the salted caramel and pistachio, as well as the seasonal fruit desserts. It took about 40 minutes for them to be served, which was a bit disappointing. Both desserts were carefully made with attention to detail. The pistachio ice cream and cassis mousse had a great balance of sweetness and acidity. The seasonal fruit dessert was unique with a combination of strawberries and pink grapefruit. The freshness of the fruits mixed well with the mousse. Overall, it was delicious, but I would recommend going when it's less crowded. Thank you for the meal.

In Sapporo, there is a culture of "finishing parfait" that I have been curious about for a while. So, after dining at 'NORTH CONTINENT MACHI NO NAKA', I decided to visit this place. It was around 8:15 PM on a weekday. It may have been a bit early for a "finishing parfait." The restaurant is located on the north side of Tanuki Koji, facing a back alley between Nishi 2-chome Street and Sosei River Street. There was a soft-serve ice cream-shaped sign and white flags outside. The restaurant is on the first floor of a 3-story mixed-use building called 'Dai20 Kowa Building'. There was a white curtain hanging at the entrance. Inside, the entrance is narrow but it goes deep. There are 12 counter seats and a table for 4 people. The dim lighting creates a bar-like atmosphere. When I visited, only about half of the seats were taken, so I was able to quickly find a seat at the counter. However, by around 8:30 PM, it was full, and when I left around 9:20 PM, there were 5-6 people waiting outside. The other customers were young couples, middle-aged couples, and middle-aged women in pairs. The menu offers 6 types of parfaits, soft-serve ice cream, floats, sundaes, cakes, coffee, other soft drinks, alcohol, appetizers, parfait, coffee courses, etc. The prices, especially for the parfaits, were on the higher side. I ordered the "Strawberry and Cheese Parfait - with slightly foamy espuma - 1,983 yen" and "Today's Coffee - 616 yen" for myself, and my companion ordered the "Coffee and Red Fruit Parfait - with black pepper langues de chat - 1,502 yen" and "Italian roast coffee - 616 yen" (all prices include tax). The "Coffee and Red Fruit Parfait" arrived in about 11 minutes, followed by the "Strawberry and Cheese Parfait" in about 7 minutes, and then the coffee in about 7 minutes. The two parfaits were both stylishly and beautifully presented. They seemed a bit difficult to eat though, especially for women. The "Strawberry and Cheese Parfait" consisted of strawberries, cheese cream, crushed cookies, strawberry sherbet, etc. It was quite delicious. However, there was a hint of flavor (ginger, rose?) other than strawberries and cheese that was a bit distracting for me. It felt like they were trying too hard. My companion's "Coffee and Red Fruit Parfait" had a similar impression. For us, simpler parfaits seem to be more suitable (laughs).

I had a little celebration recently. I wanted to do something different, so I waited for the 6:00 opening and then made my move! Quietly descending the stairs to the underground, I opened the door to this beautiful restaurant and made my attack! I sat at the end of the counter and ordered a parfait and sparkling wine. It felt special - the sparkling wine came with appetizers: purple cabbage salad, chicken ham, and broccoli ohitashi. The broccoli ohitashi was a hit - it had a strong flavor, and I thought, "Oh, you can make broccoli into ohitashi." Any vegetable can be made into ohitashi. The parfait was beautiful. How should I eat this big cookie? I held it in my hand, but is that the right way? The ice cream on the left had salt on it, and I was told to mix it in. It was a bit tricky. There was butterfly pea jelly in it, making it a stylish and delicious parfait. The feeling of escape that came with the sparkling wine. However, there were no other customers at first. For some reason, a staff member stood right in front of me at the long counter, playing with their phone. Why not stand somewhere else? Why right in front of me? The feeling of escape quickly disappeared. Maybe it would be better to come when there are more customers next time. That's what I think.

Near Odori Park in Sapporo, there is a place called "Parfait, Coffee, Alcohol, Sato Hana-re". Among the many night parfait specialty shops, this place offers a counter-style experience combining alcohol and coffee. Unlike the main store, the concept here is focused on "flowers", with a pink color scheme catering to a female perspective. On this day, I tried the "Coffee and Red Fruit" parfait, which featured two types of milk ice cream (Colombian and Mocha) topped with black pepper langue de chat. The parfait also included a compote of red berries like raspberries, coffee sablé, jelly, granola, and another layer of berries. The coffee flavor was rich and distinct, reminiscent of eating coffee beans directly. The sweetness in the berries and jelly was kept subtle, allowing the natural acidity of the ingredients to shine. This parfait offered a sophisticated, adult-oriented taste that was perfect for a bar setting.

In the center of Sapporo, there is a famous parfait shop called "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato" located in Tanuki Koji. This is a branch of the main shop, so it is connected to the building of Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato. I tried to go to Sasaki-san's place using navigation because the main shop was crowded, but I was drunk and mistakenly thought the nearby Hanare was Sasaki. I ended up waiting in line at the wrong place (laughs). "Coffee and Red Fruit" is a dish with two types of coffee ice cream, Colombia-based and Mocha, topped with tangy berries. The bitter coffee flavor is complemented by a banana-like taste. The triangular baked cookie on top is sprinkled with black pepper for an exciting twist. The light brown coffee ice cream has a slightly bitter taste. The white ice cream is also coffee-based but sweeter. The berry acidity seems to harmonize well with them. "Chocolate and Mango" is a dish that my partner ordered. It consists of bitter chocolate ice cream, white chocolate ice cream, and mango sorbet ice cream. It uses Valrhona's "White & Bitter" chocolate. There are also fresh chocolates, making it a delight for chocolate lovers.

The taste was delicious. I waited in a long line, about an hour and a half. The place was small and the operation was clearly poor, so I was made to wait quite a bit. It was a good experience to go there, but honestly, the service did not match the popularity and reputation, so I don't think I will have their signature parfait again.

Parfait, coffee, alcohol, Sato (including tax 1,502 yen). I was prepared to wait in line because it's famous for its Shime Parfait, but I was able to get in easily! However, the next day around 22:00, there was a huge line when I looked. There seems to be another store nearby, but it was also very crowded! I'm glad I went when it was not busy! Coffee with red fruits and black pepper langue de chat cookies on the side. "Parfait with two types of ice cream base, Colombian and Mocha, with berries added for acidity." Available after 18:00. The ice creams are both coffee flavored but taste different of course! The white one is coffee but light, the brown one is more robust coffee flavor. It's topped with cookies, berries, and other fruits inside, which is great! Delicious! I also thought the idea of having a Shime Parfait was good!

First visit. There were already 5-6 people lined up. Even though customers were leaving, we couldn't get inside the store for a while. We waited for about 20 minutes in the cold, even though there were empty seats available. It took about 40 minutes for the food to come out after entering the store. At this point, the dissatisfaction outweighed the satisfaction. No plans to revisit.

At the end of my plans for the day, before leaving the store I had planned to visit, I decided to check out another place that I had bookmarked. So, I headed to "Sato," which is considered the number one in the Sapporo parfait world. Although there is a main store, I decided to visit this branch, and as I approached, I could see a line of about 15 people. It seemed even busier than expected, possibly due to the fact that the Sasaki branch, which is part of the same group, was closed. I decided to wait in line, knowing that if it took too long, I would have to give up as my last train was in 3 and a half hours. It took a little over 2 hours from when I started lining up to finally enter the shop. My arms were sore from holding my belongings, and the wait felt really long! I ordered the "Cassis and Orange Sundae (¥770)." Most customers were ordering parfaits, but I chose a sundae because I had previously tried a parfait at another shop affiliated with Sato located in Sapporo Factory. I wanted to try something different. The sundae arrived, with a generous serving of soft serve ice cream topped with cassis sauce, oranges, and cherries, giving it a nostalgic café dessert vibe. The lower layer had nuts, adding a crunchy texture. The soft serve had a light and milky flavor, with a firm texture that was very pleasing. The refreshing cassis sauce complemented the rich ice cream, and the large oranges provided a satisfying bite. The nuts added a fragrant and crunchy element, making each bite a delightful mix of flavors and textures. Although I ordered a simple sundae this time, I recommend trying their parfaits, especially if you are visiting a Sato-affiliated store for the first time. It's worth the price. On my way back, I caught the second-to-last train, and the total time from lining up to leaving the shop was about 3 hours. It was the longest wait I've experienced, and I felt quite exhausted. Despite indulging in a lot of food, I didn't feel the usual heaviness in my stomach, maybe because I didn't have a parfait this time. I have visited a total of 9 stores according to my schedule, with 3 additional visits as substitutes and 6 unplanned visits, making the total number of places visited quite unusual. Once Sasaki's branch reopens or when I visit the main store, I plan to try their cakes. Thank you for the meal.

I had my first "shime parfait" in my life! I heard that it's popular in Hokkaido to have parfait as a closing dish after drinking, so I did some research and was surprised to find a lot of shops offering it. I didn't know where to go, so I was taken to this place! It was stylish and we could relax in a sunken kotatsu table. I'm satisfied!

After enjoying izakaya in Sapporo, I went to try the popular "shime parfait" in Sapporo! I wanted to go to Sato-san's place, but there was a long line, so I decided to visit Sato Hanare near Sasaki-san's place where I had been before! It's located walking from Tanukikoji towards Nijo Market. When you walk off the arcade street and turn into a side street, you'll find it. Inside, there are counter seats lined up like a bar on the first floor. The staff making parfaits were seen through a small window at the back, exchanging items with the neighboring shop. This time, I ordered the Strawberry and Cheese Parfait with a hint of sparkling espresso foam (1,670 yen)! Since I came all the way, I decided to try the most expensive parfait! It uses a well-balanced cream made with three types of cheese and plenty of strawberries. On top, there are strawberries, strawberry sorbet, with cream in between, and a thin cookie on the side. The parfait looks beautiful, and watching the staff create it in a flowing manner is mesmerizing! I would love to visit again for another shime parfait experience!

Appearance The shop is located in a back alley a little further from the Susukino Station on the municipal subway towards Odori Park. I visited at night, and it was a bit difficult to find, so it took me some time to locate it. Nearby, there are a parfait shop, a coffee shop, a sake shop, and Sato's main store. Since these places are quite crowded, if this place is busy, it might be worth checking out Hanare. Interior The interior of the shop is mostly counter seating, giving it a bar-like atmosphere. There are 12 counter seats and 2 table seats, totaling 14 seats, making it quite cozy. The menu is like a cafe menu, and it seems that the parfait is popular here. Given its location in Susukino at night, the variety of alcohol was decent. It could be a good place for a leisurely conversation after drinking. Set Menu I ordered the "Sakanoumi Course for 2600 yen." It includes alcohol, snacks, parfait, and coffee. For alcohol, I ordered sparkling wine (700 yen), which was not too expensive, so I was satisfied with it. The course includes 5 types of snacks that complement the drinks well with their salty and intense flavors. Parfait I chose the "Salted Caramel and Pistachio" parfait. It looked very appealing, with a rice cracker-like baked confection on top. It was a bit difficult to eat, but it had a nice balance of saltiness and sweetness. The ice cream flavors were salted caramel and pistachio. The pistachio flavor was not very strong, but the salted caramel had a delicious burnt flavor. The sauce or jelly was cassis. It was a bit disappointing that the yogurt flavor was strong, and the cassis flavor was weak. Coffee I chose the "Italian Roast" coffee, which was extracted properly with an espresso machine, giving it an authentic taste that I enjoyed. Review I traveled to Hokkaido at a discounted price using GoToTravel, and after having a few drinks at another place, I visited this shop for a dessert parfait. The unique course at a cafe was refreshing and enjoyable, but the taste of the parfait was not quite as authentic as expected. Most of the customers seemed to be young people expecting Instagram-worthy photos. The atmosphere and the feel of the shop were good, so if they pay more attention to the taste, the price would be more justifiable. I might come back again in the future. I got pretty drunk... so I feel like having a soothing parfait to finish off. Normally, this is something a woman would say, but this time, as someone who has never experienced a parfait finish before, I requested it and was led to it. My first parfait finish... Yes, I'm feeling uplifted. I actually admired the idea of a parfait finish. The interior of the restaurant is a bar floor with a clean, minimalist design that also exudes a hint of Japanese essence. The peach-colored neon lights serve as a sweet touch. I still want to enjoy the time! Maybe it's my subconscious, but I ordered a glass of white wine. Oh, that's quite a lot. I don't remember clearly, but I heard that they serve a complimentary dish, and a Japanese-style 4-item platter was brought out. Maybe Japanese is the concept of the restaurant. Huh? What's this about the small window being funny? ...Haha, I see, that alone is amusing. Now, let's finish off with a parfait! Let's share our preferences and savor them one by one! ...Yes, that sounds good☆■Glass of white wine ¥700 Complimentary dish ¥???■Salted caramel and pistachio ¥1,150 The caramel ice cream has a subtle sweetness with a flavorful taste. The pistachio is rich and sweet. The tangy cassis mousse and apple jelly add a refreshing and harmonious touch. The crunchy caramelized baked goods are sweet and firm, pulling the whole dish together. The unique color combination is also great.■Fruit parfait ¥1,370 Abundant colorful fruits. The vibrant, juicy fruits are complemented by a creamy, sweet cream centered around berries, with a light and refreshing sorbet adding a touch of sophistication. Enjoying the crispy texture, the bill comes out to over 5,000 yen... Good times can be costly, right? ...No, this is just a one-time thing. Well, I still have some time left... Let's have a more adult moment from here on... I'd like to say that, but let's keep our adult rationality. Strolling through the neon-lit city on a cool summer night... Let's talk a bit more. A rare summer day in May, a slightly tipsy feeling on a cool blue night.

During my trip to Sapporo, we had dinner but ended up going for a parfait as well haha. It seemed like perfect timing as we managed to get the last available seats at the counter. After placing our order, we waited patiently...and waited some more. It felt like forever, maybe over 30 minutes. When the parfait finally arrived, it looked adorable and well-presented. You could tell they put a lot of effort into it. The taste was delicious too. If only the wait time was a bit shorter. Overall, it was a great experience.

Okinawa is known for its delicious steak. Hokkaido is known for its amazing parfait. During the weekend of the snow festival, I decided to have some Genghis Khan and soup curry, and finish it off with a parfait. Despite the mild winter, there was unexpectedly heavy snowfall. It was freezing cold, but I couldn't resist having the parfait. After waiting in line for about an hour, I finally got inside the small counter-only restaurant. It was different from what I had researched, not as traditional Japanese as I had expected. I found the set menu for 2,600 yen which included sake, appetizers, parfait, and coffee. It was a great deal! My friend and I both wanted the same parfait flavor, which was salted caramel and pistachio. The service was quiet but friendly, and the staff kindly answered our questions. When we moved to a different seat, they even gave us a small gift of chocolate. I later found out that we were actually at a branch of the restaurant, not the main one. I really enjoyed the experience, so I'm thinking of visiting the main restaurant next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The restaurant quietly pre-opened on December 21st, and it seems to have officially opened around December 24th. The operating hours are from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM (until 2:00 AM on weekends). I shared a salted caramel and pistachio parfait for 1,150 yen and a coffee and red fruit parfait for 1,220 yen with my friend. The restaurant "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato" is located in the 3rd Hirokazu Building, and a new building, No.20 Hirokazu Building, was connected, leading to the opening of "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato Hanare" in the same 1st floor space. This allows two pastry chefs to work simultaneously when orders overlap, improving efficiency. The menu is the same as "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato." So, for those who know Sato, the taste of Hanare may not be a big deal, but for those who have never tried it, it may have become more enjoyable. As for the taste, I prefer the salted caramel and pistachio flavor. For sweet treats, I recommend checking out reviews from others!

I heard that Sato-san's new cafe had opened, so I decided to visit. Despite thinking it would only have a counter, there was also a table by the window. The back of the counter had a bear wood carving and English-style cup and saucers lined up together, which was fun. The restroom also had a playful touch. It was crowded, but I managed to get a seat before it became full. Even though it's a new store, it's still quite popular. The menu is the same as the main store, so I decided to try two different items since I've already had the beans and plum flavors before. Each item is made to order, so it takes some time. When I thought it was ready, they opened a small window and went to the main store. It was like a scene from a Showa-era boarding house. I tried the Salted Caramel and Pistachio Parfait for 1,150 yen. The salted caramel was deliciously sweet and salty, while the pistachio flavor was subtle. The bottom had cassis mousse and apple jelly, making it light and easy to eat even when full. I also tried the Coffee and Red Fruit Parfait for 1,220 yen. The white ice cream was coffee flavored, and the two types of coffee ice cream were delicious. The red fruits were refreshing, and the granola at the bottom made it a bit heavier. Depending on your appetite, you may want to choose accordingly. The most popular flavors are strawberry and cheese, but I recommend this one for a change. Although the new cafe was still working out some kinks, like the loud volume of the transceiver used to communicate with the main store, I was satisfied with the delicious desserts. Just like the main store, they do not accept reservations. Since there is no waiting area, you may have to line up outside. If you plan to visit, be prepared to wait in line. Thank you for the delicious meal!
