After nearly 4 years, during a break from posting on Tabelog due to hospital visits, there have been various system changes resulting in unclear ways of reviewing compared to before. In September 2018, "Coachan Formal Shae" opened within Coachan For New Kawaguchi. A friend informed me about it, so I visited with my usual companion. This restaurant is located in the Shinkawa area of Sapporo's Kita Ward, along Shinkawa Street. You can check the exact location on Tabelog. "Coachan Formal Shae" consists of two main sections - one is a select shop for food products from Japan and abroad, and the other is for alcoholic beverages, handled by the well-known high-end select shop "Seijo Ishii." The items are clearly labeled on the shelves to distinguish between the two. Compared to the Munich Hashi store, this New Kawaguchi store has a wider selection and a much larger sales area. The staff mentioned that the products vary by store, adding to their uniqueness. I went there specifically looking for "local sodas from around the country," but the Munich Hashi store had a wider selection (laughs). I bought "Fuji Mountain Ramune" and "Jumbo Ramune." - Fuji Mountain Ramune: Produced by Kimura Beverage Co., Ltd. in Shizuoka Prefecture, 410ml, made with Fuji Mountain perennial water. It has a refreshing taste with a slightly milder carbonation for a ramune, priced at 324 yen (tax included). - Shinshu White Grape Cider: Produced by Kimura Beverage Co., Ltd. in Shizuoka Prefecture, with 10% Niagara fruit juice. It has a slightly stronger carbonation and a great taste of Niagara white grapes. Comes in a screw cap glass bottle, 240ml, priced at 270 yen (tax included). - Shizuoka Musk Melon Cider: Produced by Kimura Beverage Co., Ltd. in Shizuoka Prefecture, with 2% Shizuoka-grown musk melon juice. It has a slightly weaker carbonation and a slightly stronger sweetness, with a somewhat synthetic taste due to the 2% fruit juice content. Comes in a screw cap glass bottle, 240ml, priced at 248 yen (tax included). It's great to be able to enjoy local sodas and ramune from around the country while in Sapporo. Personally, I preferred the "Shinshu White Grape Cider" for its refreshing carbonation that helps beat the summer heat. The taste of Niagara is particularly good. The "Fuji Mountain Ramune" is satisfyingly large due to its jumbo size, perfect for quenching thirst in the heat. I look forward to trying more local sodas in the future. I personally love these kinds of shops. I wonder which local soda I'll try next time. It was delicious, thank you.
