I went to Kasagoya, a popular Chinese restaurant ✨ located in the basement of Moto Fujimaru, where you can also buy delicious bento boxes. On this day, I had Chinese chirashi and Cantonese noodles. The Chinese chirashi was incredibly delicious(ฅ/ω＼ฅ)♡ I will definitely come back to eat here again(*´︶`*)ﾉ

I went to a popular Chinese restaurant, Kaga-ya! I arrived in Obihiro downtown and chose it for lunch. Walking around Obihiro downtown, I noticed that most of the shops were closed due to the spread prevention period, with signs saying they were closed. It gave me a similar impression to when the state of emergency was declared. However, I found a restaurant that was energetically open for lunch. It was in the Apollo Building on the 2nd or 3rd floor, I can't remember exactly (laughs). Yes, this building is known for its bars and pubs. There was a Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor. Normally, they only open for dinner, but during this period, they are serving lunch only. The interior of the restaurant is quite compact, with only the owner and two sets of customers sitting at the counter. The menu includes dishes like ankake yakisoba, Cantonese noodles, Chinese rice bowl, and Chinese chirashi. I ordered the pork fried rice for 900 yen with soup. It was ready in about 7 minutes. The pork fried rice seemed to be a new menu item only available for lunch, as it was not on the evening menu. It was delicious, with a slightly thick and slightly sweet taste. The fried rice was a bit soft, with just the right seasoning. The combination of flavors was excellent. I would definitely like to try other menu items like ankake yakisoba and Chinese chirashi. I have a hard time organizing myself and feel rushed, so I post on Instagram but lack motivation to write here. Recently, I checked if a certain restaurant was open and saw signs of operation from a distance. It's a Chinese restaurant called "Kagaya" in a building entrance where you can also buy bento boxes. They have dishes like Chinese chirashi (with soup for 900 yen) and shumai set (2 pieces for 1100 yen). The owner works alone, so it took about 28 minutes for the food to arrive. The chirashi had a subtle sweetness and a flavor I liked. The shumai was bigger than expected and very satisfying. They only provide mustard on the table, but the flavor was good even without soy sauce. The restaurant is now open for lunch from Tuesday, with the possibility of only opening on weekdays in the future. They may also accommodate special requests if ingredients are available. If you miss the taste of Kagaya, it's worth a visit to show support. I was satisfied to taste their food again after a long time. Thank you for the meal!

I heard that Fujimaru's underground delicatessen has started a Chinese restaurant, so I visited. Due to the current situation, only people from Tokachi area are allowed to visit. The inside of the restaurant had a traditional Chinese restaurant vibe, which was very nice. This time, I had fried rice and dumplings. First, the dumplings. They were big and delicious! The skin was also tasty. I enjoyed eating them while savoring the juicy filling. Even when they cooled down, they were still delicious. And the fried rice. It was so nostalgic. It was the old-fashioned fried rice that I love, not too dry. It was simple but had a great flavor, THE fried rice!! I was so engrossed in eating it (laughs). It paired well with the dumplings, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. The owner was also very friendly, and I definitely want to visit again. Next time, I'll try the spring rolls too.

I visited the restaurant called "Kagaya" which serves popular Chinese cuisine. The location is on the 1st floor of Apollo Building, and it is located immediately to the left when entering from the Nakadori side entrance. The sign of their opening is a lantern displayed in front of the building. I had been planning to visit but couldn't make it due to the self-restraint mood and the fact that they open at 8 pm, which is a bit late for a first stop. So, on that day, I decided to do some light exercise to pass the time and ease my guilt before indulging in a meal. However, I always end up eating more than the calories I burn, especially when it comes to Chinese food. When I entered at 8:30 pm, there were no other customers, but the owner was busy cooking. It seemed like they were preparing a dish for another order, probably from somewhere in the same building. I sat at an empty table and carefully studied the menu. Since I was in the mood for some appetizers, I ordered handmade spring rolls (2 for 400 yen each), handmade pan-fried dumplings (5 for 550 yen), and meat shumai (4 for 450 yen). The owner mentioned that they have a self-service system for drinks, so I helped myself to a bottle of beer and poured it into a chilled glass. While waiting for the food, I enjoyed some pickled turnips with sweet vinegar sauce on top. The meat shumai arrived first, steaming hot and delicious. The spring rolls were larger than I expected and had a crispy skin with a flavorful filling. The pan-fried dumplings were made fresh with a chewy skin and a juicy filling. The owner explained that the restaurant is run by the same owner of "Handmade Chinese Deli Kagaya" in Fujimaru, which I often buy ready-made dishes from. I decided to try their specialty, the Chinese-style chirashi bowl, which was a dish that the owner had fond memories of from their hometown in Otaru. It consisted of crispy vegetables, tender pork, fluffy eggs, and a sweet sauce made from chicken broth and oyster sauce. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, the food was delicious, and I would rate it 3.7 out of 5.
