One weekend, I finally had the opportunity to visit a restaurant that was recently opened at a farm in Kita-ku Ainomachi, where they used to sell vegetables. The parking lot in front of the store can accommodate a few cars. The building is designed like a small hut, with high ceilings and seating on one side and vegetable sales and the kitchen on the other side. Since the opening, customers have been flocking in. Gentle piano music plays in the background. I decided to try the weekly special menu called the "Taberu Plate (1200 yen)" on this day. The soup arrived first, and with the first sip, I was pleasantly surprised. The menu described it as "Turnip, Chinese cabbage, and leek soup" with white sesame floating on top. The soup had a thick texture with a hint of bitterness from the leek and the flavors of Chinese cabbage and turnip. It might not be appealing to those who don't like vegetables, but it is undoubtedly good for the body. When the main dish, "Chicken and sweet potato lemon stew," arrived, I found the tender chicken breast meat with a hint of lemon flavor and perfectly cooked sweet potatoes to be to my liking. The "Vegetable-packed marinated salad" had a slightly sweet and sour taste with a hint of curry flavor, featuring carrots, bell peppers, paprika, turnips, broccoli, and pumpkins that were boiled and chilled. The side dish of "Simmered radish and chicken" had a gentle seasoning, and the "Turnip and pumpkin pickles" added a nice touch to the meal. The "Enzyme brown rice" was sticky and chewy, making it enjoyable even without any side dishes. Despite the limited variety of winter vegetables in Hokkaido, the dishes were creatively prepared with different flavors and textures. It was a delightful meal. Thank you.

Visited a restaurant and tried something called "waterless curry" for the first time on November 1, 2021. Actually, I missed reading the menu description (^^ゞ It said "Waterless curry with seasonal vegetables and acidic Jikasei tomato sauce" haha Why bitter gourd? It's just bitter and doesn't go well with it haha What was that cucumber-like thing? Oh, it's zucchini haha And daikon doesn't go well with it either. The tomato is sour (; ﾟДﾟ) Hmm, it doesn't go well with the tororon texture (*´艸｀)ｳﾌﾟﾌﾟ The coffee after the meal is quite dark roasted and bitter~ (^-^) I added milk (^^ゞ
