I purchased sausage-filled and octopus kamaboko. They have a good chewy texture. I recommend the seafood ones. The price may be a bit high.

It's Kushiro, I'm alone. I came to Ito-Yokado aiming for a different store, but the store I wanted is no longer there, so I ended up entering. I also went downstairs and found "Abe Kamaboko Shop." I was considering buying kamaboko, and as I was looking at it, an older lady asked me in a friendly manner, "Is it your first time?" I blushed and replied, "Yes." Then she said, "If you leave it to me, it'll be fine," but of course I didn't say that. I told her it was my first time, and she started explaining each type of kamaboko to me. It was helpful but a bit overwhelming. I decided to buy the "Mix" and "Octopus" for 230 yen each, which seemed expensive. The lady was definitely nice, cheerful, and energetic. Keep it up! But there is a limit to everything, you know? I returned home and cooked them in a frying pan. They burn easily, so I was careful and cooked them over low heat. They were a good accompaniment to beer. The octopus had a strong flavor that almost overwhelmed me, but that's not the case with kamaboko. Even if you call it squid or scallop, you'll be convinced. It has a diversity that makes you wonder. I'm not praising it. The "Mix" was a cute one made by mixing squid, octopus, and scallop. Hijiki did a great job. Hijiki is like the hidden power behind the scenes. Is it like mochi? It's delicious, right? The "Mix" was delicious. I cooked it in a frying pan, giving it a slightly crispy texture that made it fragrant. It became delicious thanks to my cooking skills, so I hope Abe-san is grateful. It was a bit firm and lacked richness and depth of flavor, and above all, it didn't match the price.

In May 2022, I tried out a unique fried kamaboko dish sold at a food stall in Jusco by Mr. Abe. These kamaboko were made by stuffing different ingredients into fish paste, coating them with breadcrumbs, and frying them. They looked like croquettes and tasted delicious. However, since it was hard to tell which flavor was which just by looking at them, I ended up having to eat half of each one to figure out the filling. It would be nice if there was a way to distinguish the flavors more easily. Overall, the kamaboko was tasty and I enjoyed it.

I tried to buy bread but it seems they are now reservation-only. I couldn't just leave, so I bought kamaboko instead. Among them, I got the cheese roll that my mom likes. She asked me to buy 2 or 3 more next time. It's a dish where stick cheese is wrapped in kamaboko and fried. It had a nostalgic taste. The corner tempura had a good texture and was satisfying to eat. The crab tempura didn't have much crab flavor, so I'll try a different one next time. I'll come back to buy more when I'm nearby. I'll buy 2 or 3 more next time, Lee Byung-hun style!

I found a shop while shopping at Yokado. When I looked it up later, I found out that the store is located in Sakaemachi and has been in business since the 8th year of Showa, making it a long-established shop. Half of the shop is a bakery. Even though I lived in Kushiro for almost 10 years, I had no idea about it. The items looked delicious, so I bought a few. - Octopus Tempura, Squid Tempura, Ginger Tempura, Pumpkin Tempura - Cheese Roll, Wiener Roll The Cheese Roll and Wiener Roll are huge. The Wiener is a small red fish sausage. The Cheese Roll can also be a side dish for meals. Ginger Tempura and Octopus Tempura go well with shochu. Next time I stay in Kushiro, I plan to visit the shop.
