This is a photo of a previous appetizer! I go there quite often, but I don't take many photos, I just start eating right away... The bacon and eggs or the hot tofu appetizers are really good! Much better than just cabbage or potato salad as appetizers. The appetizers are always homemade by the chef. The atmosphere is also super nice. They also serve ramen and gyoza! If you ask, they will make a variety of dishes for you.

Today, Totoron had no plans at all (´；ω；`)ｳｯ… But out of the blue, someone was like, "Wanna go?" haha. It was unexpected, but felt like a lifesaver. I can't remember what the appetizer was, was it seaweed salad? The person next to me gave me some dumplings and fried chicken they bought at a festival. It was delicious! I found a rare photo of a dish! It's squid (^^♪ Is it grilled squid? Squid poppo-yaki? Have you heard of squid poppo-yaki? I didn't bother to look it up, so let's pretend I didn't (＾艸＾)ｳﾌﾟﾌﾟ Now, how should we eat this? With ginger soy sauce? Or mayo soy sauce? This is my 9th time coming here. I've gotten to know the regular customers here, become friends with them, and before I knew it, coming to this place has become enjoyable. When I get drunk, I end up coming here (〃▽〃) I'm already feeling tipsy, so cheers with a beer and a green highball~♪ When I'm drunk, I end up throwing rock-paper-scissors with the regulars here, this time it's heads or tails (＾艸＾) Haha. I found the ramen place from last time, so I decided to stop by to eat there. They offer salt and soy sauce flavors, but no miso. I visited late, so luckily the restaurant was not crowded and they kindly accepted my order. I ordered both salt and soy sauce ramen, both of which were gentle on the stomach. They were light in flavor and not too heavy, making them a good choice for a late-night meal after drinking. However, please note that coming from Susukino to here costs over 7,000 yen round trip by taxi, so be aware of that. :(；ﾞﾟ'ωﾟ'):

It's on my way back from Teine♪ Around 11pm, the operation of food and beverage establishments becomes a bit tricky (;^_^A and I couldn't find anything open, so I ended up having cup noodles at home. Then I suddenly remembered this place that serves dumplings♪ So I called them up!! Are you open? Y! Do you have dumplings? Y! Do you have rice? Y! Decision made♪ The neighbors seem to be getting ready for bed already haha. So I ordered a double dumpling set～～(^^♪ It was delicious~（〃▽〃）Oh, I also saw ramen on the menu! (^^(^^♪ I'll try it next time~(^^)/

I came here because I heard they started serving gyoza. I enjoyed some cold tofu as an appetizer while drinking draft beer. I love cold tofu, so I was happy to see it on the menu. The gyoza had a crispy yet chewy texture, and I heard they use rice flour in the skin. The filling had a mild garlic flavor. It might be even better with a bit more garlic to accompany the beer. They also served a deliciously spicy chili oil. Surprisingly, they have some spicy options here. The gyoza remained tasty even when it cooled down. The combination of gyoza and beer was excellent!

This is one of Totoron's cozy shops♪ Starting with my favorite shochu highball with oolong tea (^^♪ The appetizer this time is fried eggs and Vienna sausages♪ It's much better than getting weird bean sprouts, right? (〃▽〃) It was delicious eating fried eggs after a long time, lol. Also, it seems that gyoza is a new menu item. It's really tasty with a strong garlic flavor♪ The joy of spending time in the usual shop in the usual way (^^♪ This is important!! (#^.^#) Suddenly, I was invited by Mama to come over for a barbecue tomorrow, and of course I said yes!! Later, I remembered that I had plans to have lunch with my drink-loving older brother that day:(；ﾞﾟ'ωﾟ'): I declined the lunch invitation and instead invited him over for barbecue (#^.^#)

After enjoying cherry blossom viewing and barbecue at Maruyama Park, we made a quick stop here for some dried snacks. The seaweed delicacy was unique and delicious. Satsuki was feeling sleepy from being tipsy, but we still managed to enjoy a final drink before heading home. Thank you for the meal!

This is the third bar we visited in the West district. A and I are enjoying Mirror Moon oolong highballs. The boss is sticking with beer, probably getting drunk haha. The appetizer is macaroni salad. I forgot to buy coffee, so I'm having a green tea highball instead. I've been getting used to first-class drinks lately, so I can drink without coffee now. Let's do some karaoke quickly and head home. I'll leave early for work the next day. I was surrounded by two super beautiful girls, feeling super happy.

While I was strolling around Jasuko, I ran into someone unexpectedly! It might be luckier than winning the lottery haha. On my way back, even though it was already past lunchtime, I saw some movement inside the store. I peeked in and asked what was going on, and it turned out to be the owner! She said she hadn't had lunch yet, so she offered to make a bento for me. Even though the store is usually only open for dinner, they were preparing for a private party and made an exception for me. I tried the Boo-don (pork bowl) and it was delicious. They used pork shoulder, which was tender and perfect for a pork bowl. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side, but still tasty. This place turns into a singing izakaya at night, so I might come back for that and write another review later!

A popular local restaurant that I often go to. It's a mix of izakaya and small dishes, depending on who you ask haha. They also have karaoke! From Monday to Friday, 11:00-13:30, they serve bento boxes. The menu includes pork bowl, ginger pork bowl, beef bowl, and a daily special bowl. Today's special is pork with salt sauce bowl. Personally, I like the pork bowl. In the evenings from Monday to Friday, they open at 19:00. Closing time is around 2:00, but sometimes they close at midnight if there are no customers. On weekends, they only open for lunch! They have a cheap set for 1000 yen, includes 2 drinks and snacks. You can choose any drink! On Saturdays, they are open from 12:00 until late, and on Sundays, they are open from 12:00-17:00. They have recommended dishes and a fixed menu. If you make a reservation, they also have a hot pot dish. Karaoke is 100 yen per song, but it's free during lunch hours. I'm not affiliated with the place, I just really like going there. The food is delicious, and they have a wide variety of drinks. The Senbero set is worth a try! It's a place where you can easily make friends with other customers haha.

The evening section is an izakaya where you can sing♪ It's a charming izakaya. During the day, they sell bento boxes by the aluminum sliding door next to the entrance, but at night, the semi-circular door above becomes the entrance. Even though the Heisei era has ended and it's now the Reiwa era, this place still feels like a Showa-era shop haha. Most of the customers are regulars from the local area, creating a very warm and friendly atmosphere with lovely regulars, mama-san, and staff. Even shy Totoro felt comfortable right away haha. I quickly put a Totoro tag on the mirror. It's a bit far and inconvenient, and there are no older sisters around, but it's a relief to know that I won't be tricked at some strange snack bar in Susukino. I'll definitely come back again.

I encountered this shop again at the event venue. This time, they recommended the baby squid... I think that's what it was. They must really like squid at this shop, since last time I had squid tempura. However, the texture was nice and chewy, the flavor was good, and the sweet sauce was delicious. I'm satisfied.

I discovered this shop at a local product exhibition in a department store. I decided to buy the "Ika Poppo" they were selling, which is a whole squid filled with sticky rice and topped with a sweet sauce. Despite its rich appearance, it wasn't overly strong in flavor. The squid was thick and satisfying to eat, with minimal fishy taste. The texture of the sticky rice was also good, not too heavy. Overall, it was easy to eat and enjoyable.
