I had intended to go to a restaurant called "Kuranosuke," but when I searched for it on Tabelog, it didn't come up. I found it on another gourmet website, but it had the same name, same building, same floor, and the same introduction. The photos posted also looked the same, so I assumed it was the same restaurant and decided to write a review here. However, my experience was not very positive.
I had made a reservation for a 4,000 yen party course with all-you-can-drink, but I was disappointed that there was no beer included in the all-you-can-drink option. You had to pay an additional 500 yen for premium beer. Although this information was available online, I felt that the value for money was not great compared to other places that offer premium beer at the same price.
When we arrived at the restaurant, there was a menu on the table that indicated the course we had chosen. Normally, with such a menu, you would expect the dishes to be served in order. However, the food took a long time to come out, and when it did, all the dishes were served at once in what looked like a bento box for each person. This was disappointing as it did not feel like a proper course meal.
The dishes were served all at once, which meant that the order in which you ate them and the temperature were not ideal. It made me wonder how the chefs felt about serving the food this way. There was also a small amount of beef in the sukiyaki pot, which left us feeling unsatisfied.
Looking back at the photos, I noticed that there was a dish called "Kyuju Miyasaka" listed at the end of the menu. Perhaps if I had realized this earlier, I would have understood the serving style better. However, this type of serving format takes away the enjoyment of dining out at a restaurant.
Overall, the food did not leave a lasting impression, and the staff's service attitude was also lacking. I understand that times are tough, and the staff may be under a lot of pressure, but the current operational style may end up damaging the restaurant's reputation. It felt like they were caught in a negative cycle.
In conclusion, I felt like I had just happened to visit during a bad time, and I hope the restaurant can improve its offerings and service in the future.
