Finally, the opportunity to visit the restaurant has arrived. I arrived at the shop at 11:25 AM. The opening time is 11:30 AM, but there is no one there. In this era of COVID-19, I wonder if they are closed? There is a notice of temporary closure posted on the door for the next day. I checked the date for today and thought to myself, "If they are closed tomorrow, then the shop must be open today, right?" As I pondered this, more customers arrived, and eventually, about 10 people were waiting in line before the opening time. The heavy door opened at the opening time, and a staff member appeared. We were ushered into the shop and led up the stairs. When we mentioned that there were two of us, we were further guided to a two-person table on the upper floor. The service staff seemed to be limited, as they took a while to come and take our order, but they were kind in their interactions. Now, for the order: - Chicken and 20 types of vegetables of the day (1,500 yen) (You can choose fried chicken, boiled chicken, or pork kakuni) - Large serving of soup (+200 yen) - Mild coconut soup (+100 yen) - Spice level 5 (+50 yen) - Toppings: 3 oysters (+350 yen) - No rice (-50 yen) The total came to 2,150 yen (excluding tax) for a luxurious curry lunch. After about 15 minutes, our dishes arrived. With 20 types of vegetables, the plate was overflowing. I took a sip of the soup right away. It was mild with coconut, and the curry was rich. I chose a spice level of 5 by adding coconut milk, but maybe increasing it to +2 or +3 would have been better. It turned out to be quite mild. My partner had a regular soup with a spice level of 4, but it seemed spicier than mine. Looking at the amount of my partner's regular soup, the large serving was the right choice. The regular serving seemed a bit small. If you want to enjoy the soup, I recommend getting a large serving. With 20 types of vegetables, there were plenty of ingredients like wood ear mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms. There were also burdock roots. I couldn't decide between boiled and fried chicken, but I chose fried chicken for its crispy texture, which was delicious. The cooking process took some time, but it was worth the slightly higher price for such a satisfying dish. The oysters were a nice touch as well. Overall, this was a delicious soup curry. Thank you for the meal.
