Today, I visited Hokkaido Medical Center again, following a recommendation from a gastroenterology clinic I visited recently. It was raining, so I decided to drive there, which was a first for me. The hospital had free parking, which was convenient. My appointment was at 11:30 am, right before lunchtime. Surprisingly, everything moved quickly, and I was done by around 12:20 pm. I decided to try the hospital cafeteria for lunch, and ended up ordering a Zangi set meal for 600 yen. I tried to get extra rice but had to buy a separate ticket for 100 yen. The food was mediocre, with the rice tasting stale and the Zangi being bland. Overall, the meal was not worth the price.

As you walk up the hill, you will come across an automatic door leading to a spacious floor with various medical departments. Before deciding which department to visit, you may come across a sign for a cafeteria called "Kissaten Wa." The cafeteria has a ticket machine with calorie information, and you may notice that the Katsu Curry is more expensive than the Katsu Set by just 100 yen. The interior is long and features traditional seating mats, and the curry has a homemade, mildly spicy flavor. The crispy yet moist Katsu is served on a plate with rice, which contributes to its high calorie content. After enjoying a satisfying meal, you may leave feeling full and content.
