Gati-ike
I wanted to erase the bad experience from the last Korean restaurant, so I searched again and came here. I entered G DINING building at 6:30 PM. The bright interior had some neon lights, and there were many elderly customers. I ordered Jukumi, Chapchae, and Jangjorim, along with some beer. It was a perfect classic combination. First, the Jangjorim arrived at the table. It was homemade, with no fishy smell, and had a good balance of saltiness and spiciness that went well with the beer. After a while, the Chapchae arrived. The flavor was a bit lighter than expected, with a stronger seasoning on the beef. It was just right when eaten together. The scent of sesame oil was nice, and the Korean glass noodles were delicious. I thought the flavor could be a bit stronger. After finishing the meal, it took some time for the Jukumi to arrive. I thought it was already prepared, but they were going to cook it fresh. I was a bit worried as the staff left the strong flame unattended. They returned at the right moment, cut the squid, turned down the heat, and served it. The taste was sweet and spicy, with the sweetness and moisture of the vegetables coming through. I felt it could use a bit more saltiness, but the flavor of the squid was nice, albeit a bit peculiar. Overall, it was a good experience, but not enough to make me a regular. I wonder if Korean cuisine is like this everywhere...? The Samgyeopsal that the people next to me were eating looked delicious. Thick slices of pork belly were grilled by the staff, and eaten wrapped in lettuce, etc. It seemed reasonably priced. If I were to go again, I would choose that.
