I went to Oishinbo restaurant! This time I found the restaurant easily, unlike last time when I had trouble finding it. However, if you're not careful, you might miss the entrance. There was one customer already inside when I entered and sat at the counter. I couldn't see the recommended items at the entrance very well, maybe because of my aging eyes. I carefully studied the menu and chose the hamburger set meal for 850 yen, which was surprisingly cheaper than other set meals. The restaurant also serves dinner starting from 5:00 PM. While waiting, I looked around the restaurant but couldn't find any manga related to "Oishinbo". The meal was ready in about 10 minutes, served with a knife, fork, and chopsticks. The hamburger had a fine texture and was not greasy. The sauce was especially delicious, and the side dishes like pickles and salad were also good. I got full quite quickly. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional menu items, and their attitude reflects that. I felt like I must try their ramen next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I had the daily lunch special for 780 yen, and when I upgraded the miso soup to ramen for an additional 250 yen, the total came to 1,030 yen. I used one voucher and paid 30 yen, but since the voucher is 40% extra, it was actually only 630 yen, which is a great deal!

Visit date: November 20, 2019 For dinner on this day, my companion and I visited Oishinbo. We arrived around 20:45 and there was 1 customer before us and no customers after us. After debating whether to go for individual dishes or a set meal, we opted for the set meal. Our order included: - Salt Ramen (660 yen) - Pan-Fried Gyoza (450 yen) - Rice (150 yen) - Loco Moco Bowl (980 yen) The salt ramen was a typical Kushiro-style ramen with thin noodles and a light broth. It had toppings like seaweed, bamboo shoots, wakame, green onions, chashu, and a half-boiled egg. The noodles were cooked well but the soup was slightly lukewarm, though the flavor was just right. The seaweed was a bit overpowering in the soup. The pan-fried gyoza had a good meat-to-wrapper ratio, but the wrapper was a bit chewy. The Loco Moco bowl came with miso soup and pickles. The hamburger patty had a good thickness, and the sausage was crispy and tasty. However, both seemed a bit pre-made. The fried egg had a runny yolk, but it would have been better if they had asked about the desired yolk consistency. The miso soup was light and lacked depth in flavor, while the pickles were overly sour. The master chef even came out to greet us before we left. I remembered seeing a sign saying they don't accept credit cards. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I'm in Kushiro alone. Last night, I drank alone. I'm feeling fine and continuing my journey to try all the Kushiro ramen shops. Today, I chose "Oishinbo," which seems like a typical Kushiro ramen shop. Is it okay? When I arrived, it was a flashy restaurant next to a beauty salon. There were no customers inside. The waitress greeted me warmly. I chose to sit at the counter, which has 6 seats. There are also 3 tables and 4 sunken tables with a moat. The menu was not just ramen, it was more like a dining hall. I ordered the "Salt Ramen" for 600 yen. It arrived in 7 minutes and looked delicious. The noodles were thin but had a good texture, although not typical Kushiro noodles. The thinly seasoned bamboo shoots were tasty. The green onions went well with the ramen. The seaweed melted quickly. The half-boiled egg was perfect. The rolled chashu had a nice thickness and mild flavor. The soup was light with a hint of soy sauce and a bit of richness from the lard. Overall, for 600 yen, it was a good deal considering the quality of the ingredients. It was a delicious "Salt Ramen" with a slightly lingering taste of MSG.

I remember visiting this place before and enjoying delicious food, so I decided to stop by again to write a review on Tabelog. You can't see the entrance from the main street. I wondered if they were open. As I got closer to the store, I could see the sign saying "open." I parked in the parking lot in front of the store and went inside. The interior was larger than it looked from the outside and a bit dimly lit. Since they also serve izakaya at night, it had that kind of atmosphere. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. I ordered the "soy sauce chashu ramen" as usual. The cold water they served was lukewarm. There were two customers before me and two after me. It seemed like they were regulars. I waited for about 5 minutes before my ramen arrived. It was a simple-looking Kushiro ramen. I took a sip of the slightly rich and simple soup. The noodles were very thin straight noodles (I think that's what they were) and they were delicious, cooked firm. The chashu was made with pork belly and had a strong flavor, making it difficult to pick up with chopsticks. It was my kind of chashu and it was delicious. The egg was just a plain boiled egg without any seasoning. I could do without the seaweed. Overall, it was a well-balanced and tasty bowl of ramen.
