I discovered this place during the day, and it seems like the outdoor electronic signboard has changed recently. The name of the new place is "Sakaba Shokudo Den," which I've never seen before. I decided to come check it out at night, and it turns out it used to be a place called "Ippon." It seems like they have rebranded from Ippon to Sakaba Shokudo Den. The atmosphere inside is like a karaoke snack from 6 pm to 9 pm, and then it transitions into a karaoke snack after 9 pm. There is no background music, but the service and food are well done with a skilled mama and another woman working. The draft beer is not ice-cold, but it is tasty. The server and glass cleaning are done properly. They don't have a menu for alcoholic drinks, but until 9 pm, you can have draft beer and bottled beer for a coin each. The appetizer is Chanja, which is spicy and delicious. The menu includes rice dishes, noodles, and other dishes, and there is quite a variety. The cooking is well done, but it may take some time. The flavors are on the strong side, possibly to complement the drinks. I had two glasses of Hakushu highball, which cost 1,000 yen each. The ice was from an ice maker, and the whiskey was good, with the carbonation being quite tasty. The freshly made tamagoyaki was hot and delicious with a nice sweet flavor. The lamb sauté with eggplant was also delicious, and the lamb itself was well prepared. There was also a dish that looked like tempura, but it was made with Tachi and had a unique texture. Overall, the food was delicious, although the flavors were a bit strong. The bill came to around 4,000 yen, which was a bit on the pricey side. The atmosphere was a bit smoky, but they had ventilation and an air purifier. The back bar had a variety of Japanese whiskies, shochu, and awamori. The seating consisted of a counter with seven seats and two tables for four people each. In conclusion, I found the place to be quite charming, and I would recommend it for a unique dining experience.
