I'm alone in Sapporo. I was told by Kamisan, "Buy some side dishes for me~❤️❤️" (I'm just jumping on the bandwagon because someone else said it). Since starting using Tabelog, I've been told things like, "You can write a review, right?" I feel like I've been completely seen through. Today, I went to Tokyu Department Store. I bought a not-so-good "juice" and a quite delicious "baguette" that made me want to buy it again. Next to it, there was a deli called "Aji-ni." I hesitated over various options, but ended up buying "Gomoku Nimono" and "Kabocha no Kasane Yaki (steamed)." I'll eat the kabocha at home. The customer service here is great. They provide a pleasant customer service experience. The kabocha is surprisingly delicious. I usually have a bad impression of this kind of food, but this one is quite tasty. Kamisan said, "It lacks impact!" but no, no, impact is not necessary. It's delicious. The "Gomoku Nimono" is elegant. This one is tasty too. Despite being elegant, I can feel a bit of oiliness. I will definitely go back here to buy more.

In May 2013, I visited Ami, a specialty store for takeout Japanese side dishes located in the department store basement. It is operated by Goo Co., Ltd., based in Saitama Prefecture. Goo primarily operates in department stores, with outlets in Isetan and various locations in Hokkaido. At the Sapporo Tokyu Department Store, both Sapporo Sasakage and Ami are available. I purchased a set of three side dishes, each pack containing different items such as stir-fried lotus root, simmered butterbur, and simmered vegetables. The flavors were well-balanced and not too salty, making them a perfect accompaniment to rice or drinks. The quality of the dishes was a mix of home-cooked and restaurant-style, offering a unique taste experience. While the bento boxes at Sasakage were more cost-effective, Ami also offers delicious fish side dishes like miso-marinated mackerel. Overall, Ami is a convenient spot to enjoy tasty Japanese side dishes.
