For some reason, I suddenly feel like eating Mister Donut. Regardless of whether I see the commercials or not, I always crave Mister Donut. I went during the weekend lunchtime and it was not crowded, which was lucky. My current favorite is the plain Pon de Ring. My all-time favorite is the Angel French.

I tried the limited sweet potato donut! There were a few different flavors, but I chose the sweet potato one. The cream was delicious and had a gentle sweetness of sweet potato. I wonder if the donut dough also has sweet potato in it? It had a pon de ring-like shape, but the texture was different, so it's a unique treat. I usually stick to the same items at Mister Donut, so it's fun to try something different once in a while. It was a great meal!

I will try the collaboration product from Yoritaka Chef right away! The chocolate tastes richer and has a good aroma compared to regular ones. However, I am just an amateur so there may be a placebo effect (sweat). I personally really like the chocolate cream served on the square pie. But the pie itself tends to get moist quickly, so it's best to eat it as soon as possible.

Christmas Donuts 2018! Unfortunately, I couldn't get the Pikachu donut as it was sold out, but the box and wrapping paper were Pokémon-themed and very cute! The snowman donut had a unique chewy texture, maybe using a pon-de-ring dough? The yellow old-fashioned donut was banana-flavored, which was particularly interesting in taste!

I tried the limited-time collaboration curry pie from Gotoken, and it was delicious! I had Gotoken curry when I visited Hakodate on a school trip long ago, and it's still my ideal curry. While it's not exactly the same, it's still tasty. Maybe it's because it's cold? The curry at the actual store had a smoother texture and a rich flavor from the finishing touch of cream. In terms of reproduction, the retort curry sold at Gotoken has a higher level of accuracy.

Mister Donut! It's a well-known place that doesn't even need a review, but I took some photos anyway (lol). The free refill coffee service is really great, right? The coffee is light and easy to drink, so I got carried away and ended up drinking 3 cups (oops).

In Kitami City, there are two Mister Donut shops: Nishi Tomi store in the west and Kashiwa store in the east. Donuts are priced at 100 yen, so I went to the Kashiwa shop. It has been quite some time since it opened after the beloved "Kantaro" closed down. Kantaro was an old sweet shop in Kitami that mainly sold oyaki (sweet buns). Mister Donut offers a variety of donuts in the shop, and there are many students around, both as customers and staff. I'm not very interested in donuts, so I let my wife choose. She picked the Angel French donut for me. It was tasty, but I remember when Mister Donut's donuts used to be bigger with more cream.

◆October 2015◆ I had a business trip to Kitami, so I stopped by to buy souvenirs for my workplace. There is no need to explain about the store. It is the most famous donut & cafe shop in Japan. The Kashiwa Yo branch here is combined with Daiso and has a wide parking lot, making it convenient, and the cafe space is also spacious and bright. I bought about 10 different types of donuts to take home, and it was reasonably priced. They frequently have a 100 yen day, so it's even more cost-effective to buy then. I'm not a fan of sweet things, so I bought Pon de Ring and Sausage Curry Bread. The normal Pon de Ring is the best after all. It can also be used as a cafe to take a break, and it's a convenient store in various ways.

Located in the middle between the center of Kitami City and the Hanno Autonomous District, this Mister Donut is next to the 100-yen shop "Daiso" and has a spacious parking lot, making it a convenient store. The interior is long and narrow, possibly due to sharing the building with Daiso, and the lack of sunlight gives it a dark and uninspiring atmosphere. However, the staff's service is good, and the donuts taste just as good as other stores. Nevertheless, the darkness of the shop should be improved to enhance the dining experience. I tried the gratin donut with shrimp, but it lacked a distinctive flavor and was disappointing.

The night staff at this restaurant are still young men, and unfortunately they seem indifferent to the customers dining inside. I mainly use this place at night, but I happened to visit during the day recently and was served by a female staff member. She was very friendly, greeted with a smile, and did not engage in personal conversations. It was a pleasant experience with prompt refills of coffee and café au lait. I hope the motivation of the male night staff improves. This is a bit critical, but it comes with expectations.

You even mentioned the product name, but there's no way I could have known. Did I never say "I like it!" because I didn't eat it? She was so happy eating it. I think of donuts as chewy, but it has a crispy texture, right? It's more like a baked good than a donut, right? The sweetness is different from the old-fashioned donuts I know. Is it the sugar that's different? It's not bad, but I still prefer the ring-shaped donuts sold at bakeries, or the twisted donuts like Midori Midorikawa's.
