The first time trying Iyo Seimen, it was very refreshing compared to Marugame Seimen that I am used to. I was surprised by how the broth was dripping everywhere in the cold Bukkake noodles with extra noodles and tempura. I prefer the tempura here, but I prefer the noodles at Marugame. I would like to try their cold udon on a chilly day. Thank you for the meal!

■ Torodama Udon (cold, regular) ¥540■ Vegetable tempura ¥170■ Squid tempura ¥160■ Inari sushi ¥130The noodles have a great texture and the broth is delicious♪ I've never eaten the authentic version, but I'm satisfied with this. The "dashi shoyu" here is also amazing. (*´﹃`)

Smooth, chewy, and firm. I've never had authentic udon before, so I have no idea if this is good or not, but I thought it was delicious. The tempura was also served freshly fried at the perfect timing.

The udon noodles were soaked in a sweet broth and topped with beef, soft-boiled egg, and green onions. The beef was similar to the one used in "Sukiya's beef bowl," and overall it tasted like a udon version of beef bowl. The noodles were delicious, but I felt like I made the wrong choice. I regretted not sticking with a simple udon. The tempura seemed a bit old but still edible. The flavorful dashi soy sauce helped balance out the taste. This restaurant has managed to stay open for a long time in Kushiro, where soba culture is prevalent, so it must have a certain level of quality.

On June 10, 2021 (Thursday) for dinner, my wife said she wanted to eat udon, so we visited a restaurant that she requested. After looking at the menu for a while, I ordered Soy Sauce Mentaiko Udon (regular, cold), Jumbo Inari, Chikuwa Tempura, Ebi Tempura, and Ika Tempura. My wife ordered Meat Miso Soy Sauce Udon (regular, cold), Tamago Tempura, Ika Tempura, Kabocha Tempura, and Ebi Tempura x2. The noodles had a good texture and elasticity, and the broth had a light Kansai-style flavor that was gentle on the stomach. The "dashi soy sauce" poured over the tempura added a nice touch. Wow... it's quite delicious! And it's cheap too! I'm not used to eating udon because I usually eat soba, so I was a bit confused as a beginner, but is this what Sanuki udon tastes like? I'd like to try it in Kagawa Prefecture someday.

Having lunch with my partner. We did some shopping nearby and got hungry, so we decided to come here. I saw the Tan Tan Udon at the entrance and immediately knew what I wanted. My partner saw the flyer for the Neba-Toro Bukkake Udon and went for that. I got two Ebi Tempura because I love shrimp tempura, and also ordered Wiener and Maitake Tempura, along with a rice ball. Added some green onions and tempura crumbs to my udon, which added a nice touch. The Tan Tan Udon was delicious as always, smooth and tasty. The slightly spicy soup was also great. The shrimp in the tempura was a bit small, but crispy. The Wiener and tempura were delicious too. The Maitake tempura might have been fried a bit too long. My partner mixed their Neba-Toro Udon well and enjoyed it. Overall, we were satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

When I want to eat quickly and cheaply, I use this place. So, I don't have high expectations. This time, I tried the Spicy Tantan Udon for 490 yen and the Chicken Tempura for 130 yen. Since it's a cheap udon from a chain store, I wasn't expecting much. But when I tried it, it was delicious. The slightly spicy soup with a rich sesame flavor exceeded the 490 yen price tag. I finished the soup completely. The noodles are probably the usual noodles they use, but they are consistent and good. It's a limited-time menu item, but I hope they make it a regular menu item. I would come back just to eat this.

Visit date: April 7, 2019
Due to various circumstances, we have been having heavy meat-based meals since the night before. Even my self-proclaimed meat-eating companion seems to have had enough of meat, and now he wants to eat zaru udon. So, the two of us visited Iyo Seimen. Our order was:
- Zaru Udon (regular size) for 290 yen
- Kitsune Udon for 420 yen
- Plus Tempura Rice Bowl Set for 330 yen
We ordered the Kitsune Udon with the Tempura Rice Bowl Set for a good deal, and here are our thoughts:
The fried tofu in the Kitsune Udon was seasoned quite strongly. It could almost be eaten as inarizushi once stuffed with rice. We chose two tempura items for the set: shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura. The shrimp tempura had a crispy coating but the inside was a bit rare, while the vegetable tempura was mostly onion with occasional pumpkin. We wished for a bit more flavor accent in the tempura.
As for the zaru udon, my companion mentioned that the udon noodles were firm rather than chewy, with a slightly powdery texture. The dipping sauce had a dashi flavor and tasted salty when sampled on its own, but it didn't cling to the udon noodles.
Considering the prices, the meal was satisfactory. Thank you for the meal.

I'm not particularly interested, but I decided to visit the restaurant after a long time. The taste has definitely improved since the opening, and the service has also gotten better. I tried the donburi set for 650 yen on Thursday, which is Men's Day, and got a free extra serving. However, it didn't seem like a lot to me... I realized once again that I actually prefer frozen udon over this. It's not bad and I think it's tasty, but it might just be a matter of personal preference.

On a cold winter night, my friend and I spontaneously decided to go to a warm place to eat. We went to a udon restaurant where you order at the entrance. I quickly chose curry udon, while my friend took a while to decide and ended up with meat and burdock udon. We also got some side dishes like rice balls and tempura. My friend got sweet potato tempura and chicken tempura, while I got inari sushi, spicy cod roe rice ball, chicken tempura, shrimp tempura, eggplant tempura, and sausage tempura. Maybe I ordered too much? The curry udon was delicious, especially when poured over rice. The udon noodles were smooth and tasty. The inari sushi was well-seasoned and tasty. The tempura was crispy. It was all very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Stable Iyo Seimen. My go-to is vegetable tempura with kake udon. This time I tried katsu udon, but I think kake udon was better.

I hope they make the Spicy Tan Tan Udon for 490 yen and the Tempura for 130 yen a regular menu item instead of just a limited-time offer because I really like it.

"I revisited because I liked the Spicy Tantan Udon for 490 yen. I tried adding Vegetable Tempura for 130 yen this time. It's big and filling. Great value."
