One weekend, after having lunch and still having some energy left, I ended up at a cafe in North 23rd Street, West 5th Street in North Ward that I had bookmarked but never noticed before. The cafe had parking space for about 3 cars in front of it. The interior was a bit dimly lit, but I didn't mind the quiet atmosphere. It had a long table and 5 regular-sized tables. The background music playing was nostalgic Western music from the bubble era. I decided to order an "Iced Coffee (450 yen)" instead of the usual cake set. The coffee, whether homemade or pre-made, had a rich and satisfying flavor. It was convenient to find parking in the North 24th Street area. I've been having ramen, ramen set meals, ramen, and more meals, so I decided to try something Western for a change. I went to a cafe maybe? and ordered a hamburger. It was the large size for 930 yen... I was surprised to see it on top of the rice. Is this really the large size? I thought. It wasn't enough. Well, as for the taste... There was also salad on the side with dressing on top, which was disappointing.

The sound of sizzling and the cheerful melody playing in the background create a comforting ambiance. I decided to try the hamburger steak, which was served like a hamburger rice bowl. The patty was perfectly cooked, with a slightly crispy exterior and a juicy interior. The demi-glace sauce was rich and flavorful, complementing the meat well. The meal was accompanied by pickled vegetables and cabbage salad, adding a refreshing touch. Overall, the portion size was a bit small for a meal, but the cozy atmosphere and delicious food made up for it.
