I found a shop on Instagram a while ago but it was far away so I couldn't go. When I visited a nearby hot spring, I decided to stop by. The shop was located in a corner of a welfare facility, with 5 pots lined up for roasting sweet potatoes. There were two kind ladies who kindly explained everything to me. I even got to try some chilled roasted sweet potatoes. The types of sweet potatoes vary each day, and on that day there were 3 types - Silk Sweet, Beni Haruka, and Beni Masari. I bought Silk Sweet and Beni Haruka, and enjoyed them in my car. Silk Sweet was smooth and sticky, while Beni Haruka was also smooth but had a slight fibrous texture unique to sweet potatoes. Both were incredibly sweet and delicious! The opening hours and sweet potato varieties vary, so I recommend checking their Instagram before visiting. Thank you, "Imofukujin"!

When you put it in your mouth, it melts! And the sweet aftertaste is delightful, created by the blessings of nature. This is the "Imofukujin" from a baked sweet potato shop. I later found out that it is a vocational support organization affiliated with medical and welfare companies. I happened to see a sign while driving and decided to stop by out of curiosity, and it turned out to be a unexpectedly delicious snack time at 3 o'clock. The creamy, melt-in-your-mouth sweet potato from Ibaraki Prefecture is so tasty. It's a real gem. The sweet potato, baked in a clay pot over charcoal, is moist and sweet, with a unique appearance. The concentrated sweetness was truly satisfying. Although I didn't see it that day, they also have Silk Sweet and Anno Sweet potatoes. I was also intrigued by the Naruto Kintoki sweet potatoes from Tokushima Prefecture that were available that day, but two sweet potatoes were quite filling so I had to take them home. I don't know what other varieties they will have next time, but I look forward to it.
