Tonight, as we finished work for the end of the fiscal year, the president and department manager treated us to shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, at Sanzou. It seems that Sanzou has four branches. The interior of the restaurant is new and clean, with all rooms separated into private rooms. Since it's the president's treat, we opted for a moderately priced shabu-shabu at around 2,980 yen (excluding tax) for a 120-minute all-you-can-eat meal. The soup options were Japanese kombu and chicken white broth. Some of us don't drink alcohol, so we ordered drinks separately. The dipping sauces included sesame, ponzu, grilled jaw broth, and special soy sauce. Vegetables, the selected meat course, rice, noodles, and snacks were all you can eat. It was like a dream come true (laughs). As expected from a sister restaurant of a yakiniku place, the meat was tender and delicious. It would have been nice to have additional regular menu options to order. I ate too much and my stomach is full (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

Participated in the Obihiro meeting. It's relatively new here. Thank you for the reservation! Despite being told to write it first, I ended up writing a draft before going to bed, so I'll post it now (・∀・). Upon entering, the exterior seemed a bit upscale, but I decided to go in. The seating was at many tables, somewhat like semi-private rooms. Everyone gathered for an explanation of the system. There are no individual items available. 1. Choose between shabu-shabu or sukiyaki all-you-can-eat. 2. Choose the price. The meat options vary. 3. Choose two flavors. Mizore is recommended. 4. Choose between all-you-can-drink or individual drinks. The nice thing is that you can set soft drinks as all-you-can-drink separately from alcoholic drinks. After making our selections, we waited for our drinks (・∀・). The drinks arrived. Oh, another explanation. 1. There is a touch panel. 2. Explanation of how to use it. 3. Besides shabu-shabu, there are also a la carte options. It took a while to finally make a toast! From here, it was a rush of food! Meat, vegetables, a la carte items kept coming at a rapid pace. I couldn't keep up with taking photos. I couldn't drink my beer. I gave up on taking photos (・∀・). I'm already exhausted at this point (・∀・). What is this on top of the meat? Please explain. It's cotton candy. When should I put it in? I don't know, but I tried putting it in. I can't tell if the flavor changed (・∀・). The meat is frozen. I can't remove it (・∀・). I ordered three beers on the touch panel. For some reason, only one arrived (・∀・). I ordered additional meat on the touch panel. It didn't arrive (・∀・). I ended up just ringing the bell! Still, they were kind enough to assist (・∀・). Although it's all-you-can-eat and drink, there seems to be a manual and they don't keep bringing food and drinks quickly! I thought the restaurant was going to be like that, but when I stopped using the touch panel, they brought things out quite quickly (゜-゜). What's the point of the touch panel (゜-゜)? As for the essential shabu-shabu, the meat is frozen, and I can't taste the mizore properly. Let's just eat it! It's just a regular hot pot (・∀・). I couldn't take photos of it because it didn't have the shabu-shabu feel (・∀・). I couldn't take photos, but there was a hanger sculpture, 11 rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom, and a creepy doll in front of the restroom to distinguish between men and women. The interior had some outrageous decorations (゜-゜). I don't possess that kind of sense, so I don't understand it (゜-゜). But there were plenty of things to point out, and I felt like I quickly bonded with people I had just met. Thank you for providing the material for jokes (・∀・). There were so many things to write about that I exceeded 1000 characters for the first time in a while. I'm getting tired, so I'll stop now (・∀・).

I went to Shabu Shabu Sukiyaki SANZO for the first time! A junior colleague bragged to me about going to a new shabu-shabu restaurant. I didn't know about it, so I searched online and found out that it had just opened in mid-March. It offers all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu or sukiyaki, with a wide variety of food items available for all-you-can-eat as well. I decided to go with a friend, but when we went on a day of street campaigning, it was too crowded to get in. So, today, after two months, I finally had the chance to visit with my Obihiro group and members of another group. We made a reservation and were greeted with a stylish exterior that didn't look like it belonged in Obihiro. We had a 3-minute speech as an introduction, but I decided to skip it to save time. I ordered the 120-minute all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu course for 2580 yen (excluding tax), which included four types of meat. We also opted for the drink all-you-can for 1499 yen (excluding tax), with a 300 yen discount using a coupon. The staff explained everything in great detail, and we finally got to start after a long wait. We chose a kombu dashi and a recommended "mizore" broth for our hot pot. The food and drinks started coming in, and the table quickly filled up. The young staff member brought us vegetables but accidentally dropped a whole lettuce, which I managed to catch. We finally got to toast and start eating, but the frozen meat was hard to separate. The meat quality was average, and the drinks took a while to arrive. We had to resort to calling the staff for orders, and the additional side dishes we ordered were okay but lacked flavor. We chatted and realized that everyone at the table, including the former members, were food bloggers. The atmosphere was dimly lit, making it hard to take photos of the food. The quirky decorations added to the mystery of the place. We stayed for almost 3 hours without realizing it. It was a fun gathering, and I enjoyed my time at Shabu Shabu Sukiyaki SANZO.
