2015.09 [Revisited] Added two types of reviews, added images, and updated impressions ▼ Location ▼ Located inside the Ralse Mart Shin-Hokuto store along Atsubetsu Street. ▼ About the shop ▼ This cake shop is part of the same series as the take-out yakitori shop En. They are operated together with En and are located in supermarkets' in-store locations. This was the first store of Sweets Selection, opened in March 2011. The staff members handle both En and Sweets Selection. ▼ Menu ▼ They offer various Western-style sweets such as chocolate cakes, jellies, puddings, and baked confectioneries. ▼ What I ate ▼ ▽ Mango Jelly 290 yen + tax ▽ (2015.09) Mango jelly made with mango puree. The mango flavor is strong and the jelly has a rich taste with a slightly strong sweetness. It's delicious, but personally, I prefer a slightly more refreshing taste. ▽ Milk Pudding 250 yen + tax ▽ (2015.09) A milk pudding with a strong milk flavor. It's not as smooth as a cream-type pudding, but the milk flavor is strong and delicious. ▽ Belgian Chocolate Cake 250 yen ▽ (2012.06) A rich chocolate cake with a moderate sweetness. It has a good cocoa flavor and is a delicious cake. The price is quite reasonable. ▼ Impressions ▼ (2015.09) This is a Western-style confectionery brand operated by Nihonwa Holdings, which also operates the take-out yakitori shop En in izakayas and supermarkets' in-store locations. It was mainly selling simple cakes and Western-style confectioneries, but from September, they only offer chocolate cakes, jellies, puddings, and baked confectioneries. I reluctantly purchased pudding and jelly, and they were surprisingly delicious. However, I can't help but wonder if there is a point in continuing with this half-hearted handling. It seems like it might disappear in the future.

In April 2013, I had lunch at a nearby Jentoru noodle shop and enjoyed Muroran curry ramen. After that, I visited the Larz Mart Shin-Hokuto store, where I found Koko-san. The sweets selection was something I had bought previously at Ario Sapporo. I learned that they were affiliated with each other, with Ario Sapporo being like the main store in Sapporo. The store was connected to Bibai Yakitori and Sōzai-en. The staff wore costumes typical of a sweets shop, but there was something I had never seen before in a sweets shop. This store is located in Shiroishi, Sapporo, on the first floor of the Larz Mart Shin-Hokuto store along Atsubetsu Street. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. I noticed the words "Salt Zangi" on the back of the staff. It was something I had never seen before in a sweets shop. I found out that they were under the same management as the neighboring Sōzai-en, and the staff had dual roles. The products mainly consisted of cakes, but they also had baked goods, yokan (sweet jelly), and assorted gift sets. The range of products was quite diverse. The cakes were reasonably priced, mostly ranging from 250 to 260 yen, with 320 yen being the highest and a few exceptions. I recommend the "Belgian Dark Chocolate." I bought a few items. - Strawberry Tart: Cream mousse on top of a tart, topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It had a simple taste but was not bad. 290 yen - Belgian Dark Chocolate (Almond Base): Belgian dark chocolate with crushed almonds on top. The chocolate was surprisingly rich and soft. 260 yen - Belgian Dark Chocolate (Snow Powder Base): Belgian dark chocolate with powdered sugar on top. The chocolate was surprisingly rich and soft. 260 yen - Gateau Chocolat: A new product from the store, with a slightly intense chocolate flavor. The sponge cake was fluffy. 250 yen The prices were reasonable. The Strawberry Tart was on the higher end at this store. It's good for everyday use and convenient to have nearby. I think it's delicious for the price. It caters to various needs. Thank you for the meal.

This is a shop located next to a pachinko parlor along Atsubetsu Street, near the intersection of Hokuto Sports and Lawson. It is a small local store inside a supermarket, and their cakes are quite delicious despite being reasonably priced. It's convenient for when you need to quickly buy a cake. I personally like their tarts, especially the custard-focused ones that pair well with coffee. The chiffon cake was a bit dry, but still fluffy and decent considering the low price. It's a good option for a daily snack.
