Recently, Masou has become a place to go for a haircut. I finished work early so I came for a haircut. It's been a while since I've been to Masou, so I'll have a drink. When I went to the BM shop, it was unexpectedly closed. Lately, this seems to happen a lot, where if you walk in a group, you are seen as someone to avoid (like not being able to enter a shop or it starts raining, haha). With my motivation to find another shop dwindling, I ended up going to the shop right in front of me... It was "Kushikatsu Tanaka"! I didn't realize they had expanded to this area. It was Saturday evening at 5 pm, and besides the counter, the place was almost full with families. I started with a beer for 399 yen (a refreshing Premium Ale). As usual, I ordered the cabbage for 250 yen (unlimited refills allowed). I also ordered "boiled peanuts with salt" for 290 yen... I don't know why, but I really like these. For the kushikatsu, I ordered onion for 100 yen, white leek for 100 yen, lotus root for 100 yen, beef for 120 yen, and pork for 120 yen. They were all fried to a crispy perfection. I tried white leek for the first time and surprisingly liked it. For my drink, I got a Chinchirorin Highball. You roll two dice, and if it's even, it's half price, odd is a mega size, and if it's a double, it's free... No matter what, the customer doesn't lose (unlike some other places). I rolled the dice and got a double. Today must be my lucky day! I shouldn't waste this luck here though. With my spirits lifted by the lucky roll, I was ready to drink more, but it was time to go home. The bill came to 1,597 yen, a bit awkward... I'll leave it up to the judgment of those reading this. Until I left, there were always customers waiting outside the door, a popular spot. There are plenty of other good restaurants in Masou, I should explore more. Thank you for the meal.
