There is a café near the Goryokaku Koen-mae tram stop with a wide variety of food options! I tried the Napolitan and it was the best I've ever had at any café! The seasoning, size of the ingredients, and the doneness of the noodles were all fantastic! The omurice my mom had also looked delicious ♡ I'm curious about the soy milk gratin too! I visited this cafe-like shop a little off the streetcar street for the first time. The parking lot seems to be under the shop. The stairs are quite steep, so be careful. I had a hamburger hot sandwich. Lunch comes with dessert and coffee, so it felt like a good deal.

It was a very hot day, so I went to Canvas in Goryokaku to get something cold. The cafe is located on the second floor of a relatively new building, and you have to climb the stairs to get there. I'm not sure if there is a parking lot since I walked there, but maybe the space on the first floor is for parking? There are four types of parfaits available, and I had a hard time choosing, but I ordered the Choco Mocha Parfait. It cost 750 yen (tax included) and it came with a delicious waffle on top, which added a lot of volume and satisfaction to the dessert. They also offer mini parfaits. There were many interesting drinks (especially teas) that caught my eye, but I was too full to try them, so maybe next time.

I went to "Canvas" on this day. The examination at the central hospital ended unexpectedly at 11:30. I was prepared for a long wait, so I was surprised that it ended so early (lol). I thought to myself that I could have lunch now, so I decided to go to this place that I had been curious about. Checking the map, I realized it was closer than I thought. So, I walked from the hospital and arrived at the restaurant in less than 5 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant exactly at 12:00, and there were 3 customers inside. I sat at a 2-person table and ordered the "Doria" even though the most popular "Tofu Gratin" caught my eye. The order arrived in about 10 minutes. It was delicious and piping hot. The homemade white sauce was tasty, and I finished it without getting tired of it. If the white sauce was this good, the Tofu Gratin must be delicious too. Next time, I want to come back with an empty stomach for the Tofu Gratin. Thank you for the meal!

It's afternoon cafe time. This time, I visited Cafe Canvas in Honcho. It's located across the street from the Hotel Nets Docomo Shop on the main street, just a short walk down the alley on the right. It was my first visit to this cafe. When you open the door on the first floor, there are stairs leading up to the second floor where the cafe is located. The parking space is downstairs. Let's go inside. The interior of the cafe is a beautiful space with a white color scheme. There are bench seat tables by the window, and 4-person tables along the wall. I chose to sit at the bench seat table. I ordered a Cassis Parfait for 750 yen and an Iced Coffee for 550 yen. The Iced Coffee was served first, followed shortly by the Parfait. It had a nice presentation and good portion size. Now, let's try it. The top had soft serve with Cassis sauce, which was quite a generous portion. In the middle, there were cornflakes, followed by ice cream and more Cassis sauce at the bottom. It was perfect for my taste. The menu mentioned a homemade cheesecake inside, so I focused all my attention on finding it, and eventually, I discovered it at the bottom. It was a delightful surprise. The cheesecake was creamy and the tart crust added a nice texture. I had a fun treasure hunt experience while enjoying the delicious dessert. The cafe was run by a friendly lady who was managing everything on her own. I had a chat with her before leaving, asking about the cheesecake inside the Parfait. It turned out to be a correct guess, and I was satisfied with the value for money. We also talked about GLAY coming to Hakodate, which sparked an interesting conversation. Despite being the only customer, I felt comfortable and would definitely visit again. The pleasant customer service was a big plus. Thank you for the meal.
