This shop is located in Nakamichi, Hakodate City. There used to be a bakery called Seiyoken in Hakodate. It seems that the shop was located in a tourist area called Motomachi. While Seiyoken in Ueno is a Western-style restaurant, the one in Hakodate mainly focused on bread. The dough is similar to croissants, but not as crispy, with a moist center similar to Danish pastries. I recommend toasting it before eating! It's delicious! I used to eat it a lot when I was a child. I have been looking for a similar bread for a long time. According to information on the internet, the person who was in charge of production at that time has opened a shop...I feel so nostalgic, I could cry. When I asked the owner directly, they said, "I was the one who made it back then!" I was truly happy.

Located in a residential area with narrow streets, this bakery was a new discovery for me. I purchased a Fish Fry Sandwich for 220 yen and a Pumpkin Danish for 140 yen, both including tax. The sandwich was made with traditional Coppe bread, giving it a nostalgic taste. The pumpkin had a simple sweetness, and the Danish was crispy. Although the location may be hard to find, there is plenty of parking space available, making it easy to stop by.

Here is a bakery that opens early in the morning at 6:30, even on Sundays. In Hakodate, many bakeries are closed on Sundays, so it's nice to have this one open. The location is a bit hidden in a residential area, so it might be difficult to find without a navigation system. I visited on a Sunday morning at 7:30 to buy some pastries on my way back from morning jogging. The bakery had a variety of pastries neatly packed in individual plastic bags, giving a sense of cleanliness. It makes you wonder what time they start baking, maybe even from midnight? I bought a bean bun for 135 yen and a chikuwa bun for 155 yen. The bean bun had plenty of beans on top and was quite substantial. The chikuwa bun had a light tuna flavor without too much mayo. Both were delicious. I look forward to trying their other breads next time. Thank you for the meal!

They open early from the morning, starting at 6:30 am until 6:30 pm. They have a wide variety of bread, including nostalgic fluffy ones. It's located on a narrow road from Kaji Koban on the Hakaen Line to Yokocho and Megadonki. Local residents use this road as a shortcut. It's a narrow, winding road. If you're driving a large foreign car, you may need to stop when passing each other. The bakery has an old-fashioned, clean feel to it. The building is new. There is a friendly lady at the register. The bread on the shelves is already in transparent bags, which adds to the cleanliness. They have a traditional selection of bread, but no hard bread like ciabatta. Instead, they have croquette bread, yakisoba bread, meat buns (filled with sesame-flavored meat), curry buns, melon bread, anpan, etc. They also have Danish pastries with blueberry jam. It's a good place for a hearty lunch, and the prices are not high.

I have always wondered how far it is from the telegraph pole with Cyan's sign to the road leading to Yokado, which is about 600 meters away. Today, even though it's March, it's warm so I decided to walk there. I passed Yokado, then Sun Rise Ramen, crossed a bridge, walked a bit further, and finally found it. It seems to be run by a couple, as part of their home is used as the store. The prices are reasonable, with walnut bread for 135 yen and sandwich bread for 235 yen. The sandwich bread has a fine texture and smells like margarine.

I had been thinking of going there for a while, but finally visited. The location is a bit complicated, but there is parking for a few cars which is nice. The shop isn't very spacious, but since I was alone, I could leisurely choose. There seemed to be more sweet pastries than bread. Especially a lot of donut-like pastries. I bought a small bagel sandwich with vegetable patty, but the filling tasted like frozen food. The bread was dense and chewy, recommended for bagel lovers. They also had pumpkin bagels, blueberry bagels, and more. They open early, so it might be good to buy on the way to work. On my way out, I saw bread crusts left out and happily took some. It was very nice.
