Located inside the Aeon Mall in Fushimi area. I went to an udon restaurant but the opening hours have changed due to the pandemic, so I decided to take a little break and kill time at the nearby Aeon Mall. This Aeon Mall feels like a simple supermarket with not much extra stuff. Since there was nowhere to sit and eat inside the mall, I walked around while enjoying a special egg salad and bacon panini that I bought at Mont Thabor for 194 yen including tax. The egg salad was crunchy and had a distinct taste, and the bacon added a nice flavor. It was delicious! I think it's even tastier than the paninis at cafes. If you heat it up, it might taste even better. This is a dish that I would like to eat properly instead of eating on the go. Thank you for the meal.

There is a bakery inside the Seiyu Asahigaoka store. I often visit this one, as well as the Teine store, Miyanosawa store, and Hiragishi store, as it seems to be present in most Seiyu locations. They are known for their Hokkaido milk bread and crispy donuts. In my personal opinion, among the bakery chains inside supermarkets, this one is the most delicious. Today, I did not plan on stopping by as I was heading to a different bread specialty store, but I couldn't resist the Halloween corner that caught my eye as I passed by. Even though they had just opened and some baskets were empty, the cupcakes and cat paw bread were so cute that I ended up buying more than I intended. I purchased my usual Safju, Grape Tree, and Nikkope, as well as four other bread varieties that caught my attention. I bought too much (laughs). The Safju is a crispy roll bread with a fluffy texture inside, with a hint of saltiness and buttery flavor when you bite into it. I love it. The Nikkope is a soft coppe bread with sweet condensed milk cream that pairs well with the dense bread, satisfyingly filling the stomach. The Grape Tree is a popular raisin bread shaped like a bunch of grapes, heavy and voluminous with plenty of raisins. The Crescent Moon Enchantment is my first purchase, a croissant with caramelized nuts. The round crispy sweet nuts complement the moist croissant as you go deeper. The croissant's skin is crispy and fragrant, while the dough is moist and chewy. The caramelized nuts under the croissant combine perfectly with the croissant. I found a hidden gem, the Mont Blanc, my first purchase. It is a Basque-style cheesecake. The crispy Danish pastry has a hint of saltiness, and the rich cream cheese has a light acidity. The overall flavor is strong in cheese. The Cat Paw is a Halloween limited edition bread that I fell in love with at first sight. It has a fluffy chocolate coppe filled with custard cream, and the paw is made of crispy cookie dough. Delicious and cute. The Turtle is a melon bread from the animal bread series. You are too cute. Each animal in the basket has a different face. I chose the one with big eyes. The face and limbs are made of fluffy bread, while the body is melon bread. The melon bread is moist and sweet. It was a delightful meal.

On my day off, I took a leisurely walk and stopped by Seiyu Asahigaoka store, which has been renovated and now looks much cleaner. I visited the bakery "Montabo" inside the store, which is now part of the "Sweet Style" company after merging with "Cats Co., Ltd." The company is now under "Mitsuuroko Group Holdings" and operates bakeries nationwide, with 6 stores in the Sapporo area. They also run a cafe called "Motomachi Coffee," but it has not expanded to Hokkaido. Their famous dish is the "Hokkaido Milk Bread," but this time I tried the "Edamame Bread" for 259 yen and the "Matcha" from the popular "Koppe Pan" corner for 147 yen. The Edamame Bread had a nice salty flavor and good balance, although the dough was a bit heavy. The Matcha Koppe Pan was generously sprinkled with matcha sugar, but surprisingly, it was easy to eat with a light sweetness. It would be nice if there were some cream or filling inside. Thank you for the meal.

I came to "Montabo" in the West Friend Asahigaoka store at Nishi 25-chome, South 8th Street. While shopping, I was lured in by the freshly baked bread announcement and ended up making a purchase haha. Let's go! I arrived at 2:30 PM and there were a few other customers. I have had bread from other stores before, but this was my first time here. What should I eat? Here are the items I purchased: - Kinugoshi Mame Pan (Sweet Bean Bread) for 151 yen: The freshly baked bread had a fluffy texture with plenty of sweet beans inside, very delicious. - Safju (Salt Bread) for 151 yen: This is what we call salt bread, with a crispy texture and a nice buttery aroma. The saltiness is just right, which I really liked. My wife loves Safju from here and bought a lot of them haha. Thank you for the meal!

I sometimes buy butter rolls, which are soft and easy to eat bread. In December 2015, I went to Seiyu Asahigaoka store and bought some bread at Mont-thabor Sapporo Chuo store. The bakery inside the supermarket is convenient. I bought Saufuge Cheese for 194 yen, which had a crispy, fluffy, and juicy texture. The Saufuge had a hollow inside, giving it a fluffy texture, and the surface had a nice crispy texture. The cheese added a crunchy texture as well. The bread was fried with Swiss fermented butter-blend margarine kneaded into the dough, giving it a crispy and delicious texture. The cheese flavor added to the deliciousness, but it felt a bit expensive. I also bought Japone for 302 yen, which was a Mont-thabor bâtard made with domestic rice flour, giving it a chewy texture. Slicing it and lightly toasting it enhanced the flavor, but dipping it in olive oil and rock salt made it even more delicious. It was tastier when toasted than eaten as is. I only tried a sample of the Hokkaido milk bread, which had a milky flavor and a fluffy texture, and I found it quite delicious. I plan to buy it next time. ☆☆☆ Next Episode Preview ☆☆☆ I have bought Saufuge several times and found it quite delicious, so I plan to buy it again next time. I might also buy Japone again.

When returning from picking up a package in this area, my husband always asks me to let him know if there is a shop I want to visit. Since there is no supermarket in our daily activity area, we decided to change things up and visit a bakery that caught my eye based on recommendations from a favorite tipster. It turns out my husband used to work at this store when it first opened, so it brought back memories for him. The bakery was located right in front of the entrance of the Seiyu Asahigaoka store. They had a variety of bread made with autumn ingredients. We bought a garlic baguette, wheat droplets, cheese bread, double cheese pizza, and a sweet potato pastry. The garlic baguette had a strong garlic flavor, the cheese bread had a satisfying thickness of cheese, and the sweet potato pastry had a creamy filling that left a pleasant aftertaste. The bakery also had pumpkin, chestnut, and sweet potato bread that caught our attention. The store manager kindly allowed us to take photos. We also tried a new fruit granola bread at the checkout and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. We decided to come back to buy it next time.

In December 2012, I visited the Mont-Thabor Asahigaoka store, which I used to frequent for Sunday shopping before it became a 24-hour supermarket. The layout of the store has changed quite a bit, but the bakery and the overall feel of the store remain the same as in the past. One thing that caught my eye this time was the limited edition anpan. I tried a sample and it was delicious, so I ended up buying it along with a few other items. The limited edition Gin Tokachi anpan was made with freshly harvested red beans, giving it a refined taste similar to traditional Japanese sweets. The packaging exuded a sense of luxury with the impressive Gin seal. Another new item I tried was the slowly simmered tomato cheese risotto donut, which had a unique Italian flavor. It was quite tasty, although I wish there was more filling inside. The Yuki-taro, shaped like a snowman, was a fun-looking bread with chocolate cream inside. The special garlic French bread was generously filled with garlic butter, providing a rich and oily texture. Overall, Mont-Thabor offers a variety of limited edition and seasonal items at affordable prices. I enjoyed my visit and look forward to stopping by again in the future.

I went to a bakery in the Seiyu Asahigaoka store with a friend on New Year's Day around 3:00 PM. There were a lot of bread samples to try, and I couldn't help but eat a lot of them haha. There were many different types of bread to choose from, but I decided on a bread with chunks of my favorite ingredient, potatoes. It was called "Potato Maru" and cost 199 yen. My friend asked for a large bread to be cut in half as a service. I wish there were more potatoes in the bread, but the size of the bread itself was a bit small.

Located about a 15-minute walk from Nishisen 9-jo Asahiyama Koen-dori Station. For more details, please refer to the floor guide of Seiyu Asahigaoka store. "Azabu Jyuban Montabo" seems to be increasing its number of stores in Sapporo recently. I was drawn to the signs saying ○ Walnut Cranberry ○ Freshly Baked! and decided to purchase. The pie crust was crispy, and the sweet-sour cranberries and crunchy walnuts were a perfect match. Being freshly baked, it was very delicious. The size was also quite substantial, providing a satisfying eating experience. I visited around 2 p.m., and almost all the products were available.

It is a bakery inside the Seiyu Asahigaoka store, and it seems like the main store is in Tokyo. They always come up with new products and seem to be working hard. They ring a bell to let you know when something is freshly baked. This season they have something like mugwort flavor. I bought the Hokkaido milk bread and double chocolate donut. The milk bread had a nice sweetness from using plenty of milk, but it didn't quite reach the level of a Nordic pulla. They seem to be particular about the ingredients, so the prices are a bit high. The donut had chocolate sauce drizzled on top and was coated with chocolate chips. It was a good match flavor-wise, but the bread part was a bit too strong, and I got a bit tired of it towards the end. Simple items like sandwich bread or savory bread might be tastier. I happened to visit on a day when they were having a sale, and all the bread (excluding sandwich bread) was priced at 123 yen each. I bought the seemingly expensive "Beef Stew Pot" and "Apple Pie." The beef stew was served in a hollowed-out French bread with creamy sauce. Unfortunately, the beef seemed to have melted away during cooking and was not present, but the sauce was rich, and it was better to eat it together with the bread. The apple pie had plenty of buttery pastry filled with sweet stewed apples. It's nice to be able to enjoy luxurious items at a reasonable price during the sale day.

I have been a customer of Seiyu Asahigaoka store for about 40 years since it first opened. Back when I was in my early twenties, the building and facilities were already old, and the toilets emitted a strange smell due to poor ventilation. However, this time the toilets have been renovated to include shower toilets, and the unpleasant smell has completely disappeared, making it feel somewhat rejuvenated. This store is one of the oldest for me, after Marui and Mitsukoshi. During a shopping trip with my family, we found Montabou's bread for sampling. The staff didn't mind as we indulged in the samples, trying out the Hokkaido milk bread which was soft and had a natural sweetness, along with a hint of milk fragrance. Surprisingly, the cranberry walnut bread was a perfect match of the dough's quality and the sweet-sour taste of cranberries. It's hard to believe it only has a rating of 3.03 on Tabelog. The staff's generosity in allowing unlimited samples should perhaps be limited to one slice per person. After sampling, we ended up buying an Anpan from Tokachi something and headed home.
