The song "Hanasaki Rokka Tei" from the commercial was stuck in my head all day. Today's purchases were Potato Pie for $1.60 and Name Yatsuhashi for $1.45. I wanted to have coffee with my purchase, but this store only sells products. Next time, I'll get it at a bigger store. The snacks were delicious. Thank you for the meal!

In the first floor of AEON Sapporo Aso store in Aso area, there is a Rokkatei store. I bought some sweets here for home use while shopping at AEON. Overall, I think Rokkatei's sweets are cheap and delicious. I purchased my favorite "Marsei Butter Cake" and "Ohirahara", and my wife bought "Cream Puff". All the sweets we bought were delicious, so both my wife and I were very satisfied. They have a wide variety of products from classics to limited editions, so I recommend them for gifts as well.

Ion Sapporo Asahikawa store. A tenant store on the 1st floor. I often shop at Rokkatei, but most of it is for gifts. This time, I bought some snacks for myself to go with whiskey. It is well known that chocolate sweets go well with whiskey, but actually Japanese sweets also go very well. The limited edition "Hatsudai Mochi" dumplings, "Marseille Butter Cake" sponge cake made with butter. "Okagesama" is a thick monaka shell filled with gianduja. And the classic milk chocolate and white chocolate. I paired them with alcohol as planned. Whiskey or wine, etc. It may be modest with inexpensive snacks, but it can make home drinking life fulfilling and happy. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Rokkatei at the Aeon Asao store for the first time. I was influenced by my MyRebi friends, well, it's just imitation haha. I came to buy mochi. I bought the following items:
- Hatsunamagashi (130 yen)
- Black Bean Daifuku (120 yen)
- Dorayaki "Last Year and This Year" (140 yen)
The Hatsunamagashi has a white side with a thin red bean paste filling. The mochi is moist and has a texture similar to dango. The red side has a chunky red bean paste filling. The Black Bean Daifuku has a rich red bean paste filling that goes well with the mochi. The Dorayaki "Last Year and This Year" has furigana for "kozo" this year. I'm already full, so I'll eat the dorayaki tomorrow. Thank you for the auspicious mochi, Rokkatei at the Aeon Asao store.

I received various items, so here's a review. Rokkatei and Yawataya are both well-known among Hokkaido locals. The pound cake from Taihei Genki is rich with butter and the Marusei Butter Caramel has a crunchy texture with a hint of stickiness. The dried strawberry with white chocolate is the most delicious and sure to be appreciated. The white pastry from Tokachi Rokka is a thin, crispy pie dusted with sugar. I haven't tried the other two items. I had the coffee jelly instead of the pudding in the second picture. The jelly itself isn't very sweet, but the cream on top adds a smoothness to it. It's a bit jelly-like but slightly sticky, not the most refreshing. I probably won't eat it again. I'll update this as I try new products.

I got my haircut in Asao and then headed to the Ion's Rokkatei to eat the "Marusei Butter Sand." I don't use it for work as much as before, so I only stop by occasionally for personal use. There are many new products, but I always end up buying similar ones each time. At home, we usually chill it in the fridge before eating. When chilled, the raisin cream inside becomes slightly firm and melts in your mouth as it warms up, giving it a different taste compared to eating it at room temperature. For those who frequently use Rokkatei for gifts, it's worth getting a point card for some benefits. Thank you for the meal.

This is a store located on the 1st floor of Aeon Asao. It is the shop I visit most frequently in Aeon, and I use it quite often. "Campana Furaño" is a limited-time sweet. It is white chocolate-covered fresh grapes, and I believe it costs 480 yen. The juicy deliciousness is irresistible. I think it will be on sale again around August next year. If you have the chance, please try it. I will definitely buy it again. Thank you for the meal!

On a regular day at 5:30 pm, at the first floor of Aeon Asao, there is a store called Rokkatei. As I passed by, I thought, "Huh? Could this be the dorayaki that my friend raved about as delicious?" It tends to sell out in the evening, as my friend mentioned. The expiration date is today, "Please understand" for 140 yen (tax included). Even though it often sells out, if it's right in front of me, I'll buy it! I took one to the cashier with a smile on my face. The staff at Rokkatei are really good at customer service. Buying a 140 yen dorayaki and feeling happy even before eating it. Inside the dorayaki is not red bean paste, but simmered red beans with just the right amount of sweetness. It's like eating red beans stuffed in a dorayaki to prevent the red beans from falling apart. Even after eating it, I feel happy. The expiration date is today, "Please understand!" If it's in the evening, the Rokkatei inside Aeon might be a better choice than the department store in the city. *Monthly "snack shop" event, on June 7th is "Millefeuille" (a roll cake with pie crust inside). Reservation until June 4th! I've made a reservation!

The charm of this shop is that you can buy individually packaged famous confections from Rokkatei, which are often associated with airport shops, and even rare varieties that are not usually seen. This time, I visited the shop with the main purpose of arranging a Mother's Day gift for both mothers by sending a boxed set of Rokkatei confections. With the help of a friendly store clerk, the Mother's Day assortment was successfully arranged. Since my belongings were already quite large, the shopping turned out to be surprisingly easy. The items I purchased were as follows:
- Strawberry Chocolate White Marusei: A famous player representing Rokkatei, along with Butter Sand. No matter how many times I have it, I never get tired of it. Every time I have it, I remember the first time I had Strawberry Chocolate White and the texture of the freeze-dried strawberry I bit into back then.
- Mizugoyomi: This time, the shopping was mainly focused on delivery, but I still enjoyed the unique flavor of Rokkatei. Thank you for the delicious treats.
I have also uploaded a photo of "Rokka no Tsuyu" purchased at Chitose Airport for reference.

When I went out in Sapporo, I bought some Japanese and Western sweets from this shop for my home. After finishing shopping at AEON and speeding up my pace to walk to Sapporo Station by subway, this shop caught my eye. Rokkatei is a representative confectionery maker in Hokkaido. However, as a tourist, I had a strong image of their standard sweets being sold in typical boxed packages at airport shops, etc. This shop targets local people, offering not only standard products but also unique and delicious Japanese and Western sweets that tourists have never seen before. This was very new and interesting to me, so I quickly stopped by. Holding the cute shopping basket provided, I carefully selected the following items (purchasing one of each). After arriving home by air, I shared them with my family. - Apple's Feelings - Maruse Butter Caramel - Gonbo - Aojiru Daifuku - Tokapu Roll (Fresh Custard) - Tokapu Roll (Pumpkin) - SEA FOAM CAKE (Custard) Being products of Rokkatei, each one was delicious. "Gonbo," which is like kinpira burdock wrapped in pie, had a taste more like a side dish than a sweet. It may split opinions among those expecting sweets. The unique way I purchased souvenirs, the distinct taste of the items I bought, and the high evaluation from my family made the experience special. I definitely want to use this shop again on my next visit to Sapporo. Thank you for the delicious treats.

▼About the Shop▼
Founded in 1933, Rokkatei originated from Obihiro Chishuian. It was renamed Rokkatei in 1977 and became famous for its Marusei Butter Sand, which became a hit product. It has expanded to Chitose Airport, department stores in Hokkaido, and nationwide. Today, it is a popular confectionery maker representing Hokkaido.

They offer specialties like Marusei Butter Sand and Strawberry Chocolate, as well as a variety of sweets that you can choose from individually.
▼Food Tried▼
▽Dorayaki 140 yen▽ (Nov 2016)
A simple, slightly larger dorayaki. The dough is moist and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The red bean paste inside is plump and elegantly sweet, creating a delicious balance between the dough and the filling.
▽Cream Puff (Custard) 90 yen▽ (Nov 2016)
A small cream puff with a moist dough and a rich custard filling that includes vanilla beans. Considering the price of 90 yen, this is a high-quality cream puff that is quite delicious.
▼Impressions▼ (Nov 2016)
Rokkatei, known for its Marusei Butter Sand, has become a leading confectionery maker in Hokkaido. They have expanded their chain stores to include cafes and in-store shops in supermarkets and large commercial facilities. This branch inside AEON offers a variety of sweets, and the ones I tried were surprisingly delicious. In particular, the cream puff exceeded my expectations for its price. I look forward to trying more of their sweets in the future.

I went to the familiar Rokkatei for the New Year! I saw in the flyer that they have a New Year limited edition "Hatsunamagashi" but surprisingly they also have sakura mochi (100 yen) already, even though spring is still far away!! Have they always started selling it this early every year?? I love sakura mochi, so I'm happy that I can buy it until spring☆ Winter is the season for strawberry daifuku, but this year I also have to indulge in sakura mochi (laughs). Also, I purchased the hotate manju (210 yen) recommended by My Reviewer. It has a lot of scallops in it more than I imagined!! I used to avoid it because it was small, but it's frozen and sold, so I might want to stock up for when I get a little hungry☆ The Hatsunamagashi comes in a pack of two at a cheap price. Each has white bean paste and red bean paste inside and cost around 120 yen. The mochi is chewy and satisfying to eat. I definitely want to buy it again next New Year☆

It is located on the first floor of Daiei, directly connected to Asao Station. It is easy to buy as it is located right near the entrance. I bought the limited edition "Matcha Chiffon Cake" for May. It also contains red beans inside, which I love. I always look forward to this time of year. The Double Cheese seems to be a cup version of the cake I previously had at the Obihiro store. The cake had snow and konkon biscuits on top. The rich cheese cream gives it a satisfying taste. Whenever new products come out, I always feel like trying them all at Rokkatei. It seems to be a seasonal limited edition, so I couldn't resist buying it! When I saw the Tokapu Roll with sweet potatoes and coffee, I immediately purchased it. It costs 150 yen. The coffee cream has jelly inside, giving it a slightly bitter taste. It's delicious. The sweet potato is thinly sliced on top of the cream. Perfect for souvenirs or snacks!

Rokkatei, with its headquarters in Obihiro, Tokachi, is now one of the leading confectionery stores in Hokkaido. It has outlets in various department stores and large supermarkets in Sapporo, with a significant number of street-level stores as well. Currently, there are more stores in the Sapporo area than in the Obihiro region. As a result, they are planning to build a 22 billion yen Sapporo main store building near Sapporo Station, scheduled to open on July 15, 2015. The building will have 10 floors, including a gallery and a chamber music hall. I am looking forward to its opening.
When I visited Daiei Asahikawa, I stopped by Rokkatei. This store is located on the first floor of Daiei Asahikawa store in the Azabu area of Kita-ku, Sapporo, along the Nishi 5-chome Tarukawa street. You can check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. The store has many popular items, making it hard to choose. I bought the "Anmitsu," a favorite of my usual companion, and the popular "Marsei Butter Sand." I also bought the "Economical Chocolate Pie," which is only available in some stores. The "Economical Chocolate Pie" is now in its third generation.
- Anmitsu: A two-tiered dessert with fruits on the top and sweet beans and agar jelly on the bottom, served chilled. Price: 350 yen (including 8% consumption tax)
- Marsei Butter Sand: A representative confectionery of Rokkatei, consisting of soft biscuits, buttercream, raisins, and white chocolate. Price: 115 yen (including 8% consumption tax)
- Economical Chocolate Pie: A crispy chocolate pie made from the cut-off edges of the "Frosting." Available in three sizes with varying prices. Price: 105 yen (including 8% consumption tax)
Rokkatei offers a consistent and delicious taste, making it a reliable choice for souvenirs or personal consumption. The service level is also consistent across all stores. I look forward to trying more of their offerings next time.

Rokkatei's new product "Marseille Caramel" was released on November 1st. I bought it right away. The package says "Made in Tokachi". According to Rokkatei's website, it is a pack of 6 bags (12 pieces) for 420 yen. Marseille biscuit and soybeans are included in the caramel. First, roll it on your tongue to enjoy the rich butter flavor. When it softens a bit, bite into it to enjoy the crispy Marseille biscuit and soybeans. The main ingredients are all locally sourced, making it a commemorative confection for the 130th anniversary of the foundation of Obihiro. It's a delicious snack where you can enjoy the caramel, biscuit, and soybeans in that order. As expected from Rokkatei, it's a tasty treat. It's so delicious that I ended up eating multiple pieces at once. I might gain weight from this.

If you're from Hokkaido, you must have relied on Rokkatei to some extent. It used to be at the forefront of trends, but now it feels like a Hokkaido standard. Oh, by the way, this place changed its name... We still call it Daiei at home. (laughs) In fact, at home we still use old-fashioned names like Matsuzakaya and Sogo. You know, my dad usually wouldn't write about this, but the autumn seasonal treats are so delicious that I couldn't resist. Um, so... the chestnut paste and pumpkin pudding are the best!! The chestnut paste is a small, unassuming grayish lump that's just chestnut itself. It might feel a bit lacking when it crumbles in your mouth with just the right amount of moisture, but then it turns into a fluffy chestnut. But that's not all, you need to enjoy it with some delicious tea at home. Next is the pumpkin pudding. It's moist and dense, made with the delicious sweetness of pumpkin. They really nailed this rich pudding. Haha, it's so good that I can't say anything else! See, there's the usual deliciousness, but it's nice to have such a treat at the nearby Rokkatei. It's autumn, right? Ah, it was so delicious.

But, you know, it's not the mochi that has wrinkles, it's the bag, right? So, it's the bag that has wrinkles. That's why I always ask not to bring back gifts like Yoku Moku or Rokkatei. I can't really say that though, it was just sitting on the table. Well, I guess it's nice that I haven't tried them before. Even if they say to pick from inside the box, I probably wouldn't choose them based on the package. So, maybe it's not a bad idea to just leave them on the table. But the name "wrinkled mochi" is quite itchy. When you open it, it doesn't look anything like that. Of course, it's impossible for Rokkatei to mimic a bag. It looks like a madeleine. My wife, who tried it first, said, "This is delicious!" There's half left, so I'll try it. Oh, it's maple syrup. That alone is a no-go, just like cinnamon. If it wasn't for that, it's Rokkatei so it shouldn't be bad, but I'll pass on this one.
