A really amazing new restaurant opened on November 4, 2020. It's located in the same building as "Kaigokoro," a seafood izakaya, and it seems to be an upgraded version or second branch of that restaurant. The interior is quite luxurious, with a slightly intimidating chef behind the counter. They offered Oolong tea as a drink option, and the hostess mentioned that you could have unlimited soft drinks for 1,000 yen. The tempura dish with white fish, mushrooms, and vegetables had a light salt seasoning. The shimeji mushroom tempura was delicious without any unpleasant taste. The white fish was called Kanagashira, which had a similar taste to cod but was not as oily. I ordered a sashimi dish priced at 780 yen for three pieces, but they served me four pieces instead. The octopus was tender and tasty, and the Kanagashira fish was flavorful with a good amount of fat. The sweet shrimp was sweet and the medium fatty tuna had a nice texture and rich flavor. The five-piece sashimi set for 1,280 yen and the extravagant one for 1,980 yen were both recommended by the restaurant, and although you couldn't choose, the quality was high. The crab meat topping on the seafood roll for 880 yen added a delicious touch. The restaurant also offered a sake called "Jikon" Junmai Nigori, which seemed to be popular among customers. They had a hidden private room that was revealed by sliding a shelf with empty sake bottles, surprising the customers. The room was spacious with two low tables and had a stylish design. The food, atmosphere, and value for money at this restaurant were all excellent. It's a place worth making a reservation for, despite the slightly intimidating chef.
