This is a soba restaurant called Minoya. It's a unique tea soba shop where they knead matcha into the soba flour. While Shizuoka Prefecture is famous for its local soba, in Yamaguchi Prefecture, there is a specialty dish where ingredients are heated on a tile and then eaten with warm noodle soup. During lunchtime, many locals visit the restaurant. I ordered the oyakodon set. The soba was quite filling. It didn't have a strong tea aroma, and the flavor and texture were similar to regular soba. Whether green soba is considered stylish or plain is hard to judge, but this is what it is. It's worth a try. The oyakodon was average. Thank you for the meal.

There is a soba restaurant in Tanimachi that also has two other locations in Hakodate. Even though it is not listed on the menu, it seems that all their soba noodles are green tea soba. As a soba lover, I was not a big fan because I couldn't really taste the soba flavor.

This is a restaurant near my home, but I have been thinking "I can go anytime!" and it has already been 4 years (^_^;) It's summer and hot, so maybe I'll have some cold soba noodles...I visited the restaurant and ordered the Cold Tempura Soba for 820 yen. Cold Tempura Soba? Does it mean tempura floating in cold soup? Tempura soba is listed separately on the menu...I'm curious now (laughs) I should have asked the staff before ordering. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. Oh! It's a cold soba noodles with tempura on top. I kind of expected it, but still...Green tea soba noodles!! (◎_◎;) I hope it's not the Chlorella soba from Kushiro, right? Anyway, let's dig in. The soba noodles are quite green with a hint of tea aroma. They are thin with decent texture. I pour all the dipping sauce over the noodles. The sauce is a light kombu dashi, more on the dry side. The grated daikon radish and the slightly watery texture make it just the right thickness. The tempura is freshly fried and crispy, with the shrimp being plump and delicious. There's quite a lot of soba noodles in this dish, almost like a regular large portion at other restaurants. Thank you for the meal! The green tea soba wasn't exactly to my liking, but I was somewhat satisfied. Next time, I'll come for the ramen...even though it's a soba restaurant (^_^;)

There was also a place called "Minoya" along the old highway that continues from Hokkaido University of Education. They offer tea soba. The Yuno-Kawa branch, like the one in Hokkaido, has a large parking lot and a spacious interior with counter seats, table seats, and tatami seats. The prices are 470 yen for Mori soba and 590 yen for Oomori soba, which is slightly higher than at the relative's shop. I recommend the set menu, but I tried the Oomori soba. The green thin noodles are piled high, and it comes with a raw egg, which is nice, but pouring too much sauce into the soba cup from the start... When you add the raw egg, it overflows from the soba cup. Is there a way to prevent this? The soba broth is on the lighter side. If you feel like eating tea soba, this is a recommended place.

I had Tenzaru Soba. It took quite some time from ordering to serving, but I thought it was a sign that they were making it carefully. The soba was made with rare matcha soba, unfortunately it was too soft and lacked firmness for me, but I think it would be perfect for elderly customers. The staff seemed to be new and their customer service skills were a bit awkward at times, but they were trying their best. It might be better to give the customers the bill to avoid mistakes during payment. There were multiple customers ordering fried rice, so maybe rice dishes are more popular than soba here.
