Grilled chicken and beef tongue with seaweed for 2,500 yen. Also had grilled silver cod, pork belly skewers, beef liver skewers, chicken thigh skewers, and meatballs. Visited the first restaurant at Umeda. Haven't been here in a while and the owners are so lovely. Made a reservation for 7:30 pm on a weekday and the place was full of regular customers. They close at 9 pm for the time being, so I was glad to be able to visit after a long time. The beef tongue is best eaten wrapped in seaweed and pickled greens. The grilled chicken is recommended with sauce. Thank you to the owners for the delicious meal. Take care of yourselves and don't overdo it. Will definitely visit again. Originally planned to go to two places, but ended up doing a bar crawl to five places. Got home at 5 am and woke up at 7 am for work. Heading to the second place now! ❤️

[Yakitori Umeda] This long-established restaurant serves delicious and large yakitori seasoned with a secret sauce. I highly recommend trying their yakitori along with other delicious dishes. They offer two types of appetizers, which is a nice touch. The menu lists yakitori in sets of three, but you can also order them individually, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy!

The skewer menu offers three skewers tied together, but you can also order just one, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy. The skewers are prepared Hokkaido style, with onions sandwiched in between. The tenderness of the meat is truly relaxing. The "shinko-yaki" is a popular dish here, often seen on tables. If you're dining alone, it's a great choice to order. The skewers were served right in front of me, and by the time I started eating, my beer was almost finished. I thought about switching to sake, but then I noticed the cute "me" on the glass, so I decided to have another beer. The "ika natto" dish was delicious, with minced natto at the bottom, topped with semi-transparent squid, green onions, and chopped seaweed, all mixed with soy sauce. I wished there was some fried food to go with it. The "junsai vinegar" dish was just what my body needed after a few days of drinking. The slippery texture of the vinegared junsai leaves made me feel like I was taking care of my health just by eating them. It was a delightful dish. I wandered through the back alleys of Susukino and enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

I finally made it here♪ I've passed by this place many times because Yochan, Reb Pinkman, Waru-chan, and others all visit this area with lots of cool restaurants. It's always full or closed, but I finally got in. I didn't have much information beforehand, just knew it was a small counter-only shop where maybe six people could fit. As soon as I walked in, the owner asked, "What will you drink?" even though I hadn't looked at the menu yet. I ended up getting a Long Island Iced Tea. It took a while to get the food menu too. The prices seemed a bit high to me. Three yakitori skewers for 480 yen? That's like 160 yen per skewer, right? When I ordered the pork and chicken skewers, the owner asked if I wanted two of each. I was surprised they could do that! The skewers were larger than usual, and the taste was great with the owner's special sauce. The menu had some expensive items like grilled squid for 1,500 yen and beef tongue for 2,200 yen. But other customers seemed happy with the beef tongue, so maybe it's worth it. They couldn't serve me small items like new baby squid or scallop stir-fry because of their standards. The egg drop soup was delicious but a bit pricey. They also offer sashimi and grilled fish, so I'd like to try more dishes next time.

I went to a yakitori restaurant in Umeda at 7pm. I finish work after 7pm on workdays, so I can't go drinking. In Tokyo, 3177 people can't go drinking either. It's been a while since I went to Umeda. It's my drinking friends' favorite place. The grilled oysters at Umeda are the best. I love grilled oysters so much that I stuff them with rice. They were delicious today too. I hurriedly ate and drank for an hour and rushed home. I want to enjoy summer but I don't want to get infected with COVID-19, so I quietly went home. I had grilled oysters, mackerel, raw oysters, sea cucumber, boiled asparagus, grilled silver cod, and yakitori. I'm so full and satisfied. ❤️❤️❤️

The head chef is so kind! My favorite red sea squirt in Umeda is sold out tonight. As someone from Hamakai with fresh sea squirt upbringing, I can say that the sea squirt in Umeda is so fresh and delicious that even those who dislike sea squirt will become fans! Highly recommended!

One day, I visited a restaurant for a gathering after-party. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the restaurant seemed to be operating normally. As I entered the narrow entrance, I could see a spacious interior with a grill on the left side, a counter, and a raised seating area at the back. I sat at the counter and enjoyed a beer served in a glass with "Umeda" written on it. The yakitori was large, well-cooked, and tender, making it delicious. As I switched to shochu on the rocks, the conversation flowed along with the food and drinks. By the time I left, the rain had stopped. It's an impressive restaurant that may seem intimidating to enter without being a regular customer, but the service was friendly and welcoming. The warmth of the owners definitely added to the overall experience. I will definitely try the yakitori with that delicious-looking sauce on my next visit.

I was taken to a place with a great atmosphere here! Wow! It has a nice charm from the outside! It's rare to find these kinds of shops nowadays. Inside, there is a counter and a couple of table seats in the back. The chef behind the counter also added to the great atmosphere! We ordered pork with sauce, chicken gizzards, chicken hearts, and horse sashimi on skewers. Everything was delicious! Especially the sauce was amazing!! I only managed to take a picture of the horse sashimi, but I will definitely go back!

I visited Yakitori Umeda in Susukino for the first time! It was a rainy day with high humidity. The place looked empty from the outside, but I decided to go in. It was a small shop run by an older couple. I ordered a beer and they served me pickled vegetables and mozuku seaweed vinegar as appetizers. I ordered chicken skewers, heart skewers, pork skewers, and shishito peppers, all seasoned with salt. The pork skewers had a delicious, slightly bitter secret sauce. The chicken skewers were tender and tasty, while the heart skewers were just average. The atmosphere was cozy, and the shop owner was friendly and chatted with me. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience at Yakitori Umeda.

The other day, I ended up here after a day of drinking, but I didn't eat much, so I came back to try the food again. It was 6:30 PM when we arrived. We started off with a beer in a glass from Yakitori Umeda. We ordered pork with sauce, pork with salt, chicken with sauce, and grilled chicken skin. The restaurant was filled with smoke as the oil from the chicken dripped onto the charcoal. The owner turned on the ventilation fan and opened the door to let the smoke out. After a while, the smoke cleared, but it seems like this smoky atmosphere is common here. The sauce that the owner boasts about is really delicious. It's so good that it feels like a waste to leave any leftover sauce. We switched to hot sake and ordered more chicken skin, shiitake mushrooms, boiled whelk, and fresh whelk. The fresh whelk was really tasty and had no unpleasant smell. The owner explained as he prepared the dish, sprinkling wasabi on top. For our final dish, we ordered simmered black flounder. The fish was tender and had a great flavor. However, we ended up drinking a bit too much tonight.

I stopped by this place for a drink, it was my 6th stop of the day. I ordered hot sake, pickles, pork with sauce, and natto meatball skewers. Normally, I prefer salt for the pork skewers, but the owner recommended sauce this time, and it was delicious. The salt would be good too. The pickled vegetables with shichimi pepper and soy sauce were also tasty. The owner and the hostess were both nice. I drank too much today, so I'll come back another day and enjoy a leisurely meal.

Welcome back. It's been a while, Tottsan. Your hearing is getting worse... The refrigerator from the early Showa period is still going strong. First up, we have two dishes: "Simmered Vegetables" with various textures and flavors, and "Cucumber Pickles" that are homemade and super crunchy. Both are perfect as cold dishes with a tight flavor that goes well with sake. The smoke rising up is irresistible. I made two skewers per item since I'm alone. The pork skewers are a bit dark from the sauce, but it's rich and full of flavor. The thick slices of pork belly are chewy and delicious, with a nice balance of sauce, mustard, and sansho pepper. The lamb skewers are also thick-cut and incredibly tender, with a sweet taste and just the right amount of fat. As always, everything was great. Tom will be pleased. Thank you for the meal.

A shop with a red lantern as a landmark. The shop is run by a husband and wife, and it is an old-fashioned yakitori restaurant. When I ordered yakitori with salt, the owner recommended, "The sauce is also delicious," so I tried it with sauce!! It was amazing, just as recommended!! I want to visit this shop many times.
