Since coming to Kitami, I haven't had fried chicken. I've had fried chicken pieces occasionally, but I haven't had Kentucky Fried Chicken. I walked from home to the restaurant and placed my order, only to find out I had to wait for 18 minutes! But since I had time to kill, I was okay with it (laughs). I also ordered the "Cheese Chicken Fillet Sandwich." Surprisingly, it was ready quite quickly. The Cheese Chicken Fillet Sandwich is just a common chicken fillet sandwich with a generous amount of cheese sauce on top. The combination is good, but there's nothing particularly new about it. The Green Hot Chicken, though, is delicious! It must have been freshly fried, but it was so good (laughs). The crispy white coating is not too salty, and it has a crunchy texture. The mild garlic and green chili pepper or jalapeño give it a nice kick! It's much better than the Red Hot Chicken, which is just red and spicy. As a suggestion for improvement, they could add more seasoning powder to increase the spiciness. If they used this powder to season their fries, it would be delicious. As always, eating freshly made food at the restaurant is the best!

I'm having lunch while shopping. I've never tried the Twister before, so I decided to go with this set for 550 yen. "Would you like pepper mayo or teriyaki?" "You can choose your drink from here," I was told. I noticed that they only have Pepsi, not Coke at KFC. I didn't know that! The menu board said "Various cards accepted," so I paid with my Rakuten card. The card reader was in the middle, so I had to move there. While I was moving and paying with the card, the cashier already prepared my tray, and it was ready when I finished. It was wrapped in paper, and I struggled to find the opening to unwrap it. The mayo squirted out. The lettuce was not visible, only small pieces were inside. The chicken was also small. There were tomatoes at the top, and I could taste some familiar herbs. It was mostly made of mayo.

I completely forgot to post this, and the limited-time Black Hot Sandwich from KFC is already over... (sweat) It was really delicious with the strong black pepper flavor. I hope they bring this menu back again!

I tried the coffee because I had a coupon. It was 240 yen but only 100 yen with the coupon! I handed the coupon to the cashier and said, "I'll have a coffee, please." The cashier asked, "Hot is okay?" I replied, "Yes." The cashier then asked, "Do you want American or Roast?" I hesitated, and the cashier joked, "Do you want a light or strong flavor?" I chose a strong flavor. The coffee was served quickly, in about 10 seconds, with a tray and a wet towel. Wow, even a wet towel, that's impressive! The coffee was hot and tasted like the strong coffee at McDonald's. It was delicious for just 100 yen.

While taking a break from shopping at Ion, I had the classic Chicken Filet Sandwich from Kentucky. The chicken is boneless and the breading tastes just like the original chicken. It's layered with lettuce and mayonnaise, sandwiched between whole grain bread, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. It was delicious! Now, I'll continue with my shopping (sweating).

I wrote a review for a store on Route 39 the other day, why did I bother to write a review for a different store of the same chain? Because I tried the mobile order service. Kentucky Fried Chicken also has a service where you can make reservations online. Unlike services like McDonald's or Sukiya where it's assumed you are nearby, this system allows you to make reservations from the day before, specifying the time of your visit. Kentucky's mobile order system is well done. Plus, since you pay with your credit card in advance, all you have to do on the day is pick up your order. However, you need to show the email screen when you pick up your order, so don't delete the email after you receive it. Absolutely not. So, even though I always eat the Japanese-style chicken cutlet sandwich, I decided to try something different for the first time and had the chicken filet sandwich. It was salty and the crispy part of the tempura-like coating was delicious. If you already know what you want to eat in advance, try making a reservation online and pick it up at the designated time. It's convenient for those with credit cards.

◆June 2015◆ This is an extremely famous fried chicken chain that needs no introduction. It's truly the king of fried chicken. I don't eat it often, but every now and then I get a craving and end up buying a 6-piece set. However, after eating about 2 pieces, I usually feel satisfied (laughs). They also have limited-time menu items that change depending on the season, and my go-to choice is the "Red Hot Chicken" this time. It's spicy and goes really well with beer. I bought a 2-piece set this time and enjoyed it with a drink at home. The 1000 yen set is a better deal, but 2 pieces are enough for one person. There are definitely tastier options out there, but the convenience and value for money of this chain with its many locations make me happy.

I received a Line gift from Kentucky! For the first purchase, you can get 4 pieces for 100 yen! I need to exchange it before it expires. After exchanging, I received a receipt worth 980 yen. So I took it home. The taste is the original Kentucky flavor that everyone has tried before. It's made with domestic chicken, right? It's delicious, isn't it? But you can only enjoy up to 3 pieces. The 4th piece feels like a struggle. But I still eat it. Are they going to raise the price? Will it go up from 250 yen to 260 yen on July 1st? Is it okay to raise the price by that much?

Today's lunch was KFC. Not the abbreviation for Kitami Football Club. This is a joke among local middle-aged men. ^^; I've heard it so many times... (or maybe I've said it... haha) It's on the first floor of AEON. 'Kentucky Fried Chicken AEON Kitami Store.' It's in the back of the grocery section's food court. It's always crowded and a bit overwhelming for me. So, let's just grab a quick takeout. "Chicken Filet Sandwich + Original Chicken" with a coupon, it's 570 yen instead of 640 yen. The Chicken Filet Sandwich. A few months ago, when I had it at a different store, it felt a bit lackluster, but today's was good. The buns are small, but the chicken inside is substantial. The Original Chicken. The cut is rib. It's the rib part. This is my favorite part. It's flavorful and delicious. However, it has a lot of small bones, so my hands and mouth get messy.
