A shop located along the old Route 5 in Miyanosawa area. There is parking space in front and on the side of the building. The shop is not very spacious, but there are many different types of products lined up, making it hard to decide. Despite the shop name suggesting it sells rice cakes, they mainly focus on rice crackers with a lineup of products like rice crackers, dango, and daifuku. This time, I purchased a few rice crackers including the "Omatsurikomachi Various (1,080 yen)" shown in the photo. The pamphlet mentions their commitment to "rice, water, and skill," and all the products had a crispy texture and were delicious. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the products, making it a great option for gifts.

I often received Mochiko Yoshisan's rice crackers and always thought they were delicious. Finally, I decided to purchase a lucky bag-like set for 1080 yen, which contained 5 bags. The flavors included Cheese Basil, Warabe Yuki, Shrimp Sesame Salad, Salad Ichiban, and White Soybean Rice Crackers. The Cheese Basil had a strong basil flavor with a hint of cheese. The Warabe Yuki was a sweet white sugar cracker with a salty taste, which was delicious. My favorite among them was the Shrimp Sesame Salad, with its amazing combination of shrimp and sesame flavors. It's a great deal considering the amount you get in the set. You might end up eating too much because they are so tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I came to look for a small gift. There are various rice crackers and sweets, it's interesting. I tried the "This is good" sample near the entrance, and it was delicious! It's a crispy and light snack made with unpolished rice. I also bought wet rice crackers and a delicious snack of freeze-dried melon with white chocolate. They also have ice cream, so I might come back occasionally to buy some for home.

In April 2016, I visited this shop that sells sweets and snacks. The store was bright and welcoming, and I was offered tea and tea snacks as soon as I arrived. The mochi texture of the tea snack was delicious. There were many rice crackers on display, including a vibrant chili pepper rice cracker that caught my eye. I bought various snacks, including the spicy rice cracker, and enjoyed it as a snack with my evening drink. I love spicy food, so I was looking forward to it, but it turned out to be very spicy and made my mouth hurt. I think it would be better to enjoy it as a snack slowly. I also tried a sample of en mochi, which was delicious, with a subtle sweetness and a perfect texture. The fried snacks with three different flavors were also great, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Thank you for the meal! ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

Visited around 10:30 am on a Wednesday in December 2015♪■Location (as of December 2015) Along Route 5, near Tsukaya Sapporo Nishi Ward Nishimachi Store ↓ 120m Mochi Yoshii ↓ 230m Pepesasa Nishimachi Store■Parking Lot Spacious parking lot with around 10 spaces always in use. Impressive to see such a popular spot with so much traffic nearby. Upon researching, found out it was established in 2013 (゜o゜) There were mostly people in their late 50s and older during this visit.■Interior Various types of senbei, okaki, and mochi with a rich assortment of products inside the store♪ Overwhelmed by the choices (>_<) Started with daifuku, trying 4 out of the 6 available, and was intrigued by the display of the store's top-ranked Premium Matcha Gelato and the complimentary item called "Rikimizu," as well as the unique names like "Koryaikeru" mentaiko flavor, pizza flavor, burdock flavor, and sakura shrimp flavor. Chose the spicy Hakata mentaiko flavor this time. Also, some items were freezable, so ended up buying quite a few♪①Cream Daifuku Mochi ★Store Information○Defrosting Method For natural defrosting, it takes 30 minutes in summer and 60 minutes in winter. Enjoy when the outer mochi becomes soft.○Storage Method If taking it home, store in the freezer. Since it contains fresh cream, enjoy it cold.♦Sesame flavor 108 yen (tax included)↓From the store↓Rich sesame aroma with a thick and flavorful taste.↑↑↑↑↑White mochi on the outside with a slightly blackish center revealing the red bean paste. Upon opening, black sesame seeds are visible mixed with the red bean paste and cream inside. The cream, sesame, and red bean paste are not overly sweet, making it delicious. My favorite daifuku among those tried this time♪♦Chocolate flavor 108 yen (tax included)↓From the store↓A unique taste where chocolate bean paste and cream match.↑↑↑↑↑Mochi with a somewhat brownish hue containing chocolate bean paste inside. The mochi itself doesn't have a distinct chocolate taste, but the slightly bitter chocolate bean paste adds a nice flavor.♦Pudding flavor 108 yen (tax included)↓From the store↓Custard cream with a hint of bitter caramel added.↑↑↑↑↑Visually, a chewy daifuku. The caramel inside looks like it might spill out. The slightly bitter caramel gives a pudding-like flavor, complemented by the mochi's chewy texture. The bite-sized portion disappears quickly♪♦Salted condensed milk flavor 108 yen (tax included)↓From the store↓Creamy condensed milk wrapped in salty red bean paste.↑↑↑↑↑A high-quality red bean paste with a good azuki bean texture. Inside, creamy condensed milk is mixed with a hint of salt. Despite the name, the flavor is not overly salty but rather delicious♪②Premium Matcha Gelato 194 yen (tax included)■Store Information■Top-ranked in the ice cream department, using Yame Sencha from Hoshino Village. A luxurious taste and aroma made with authentic matcha.★Impressions★The gelato has a fairly intense green color. The texture is like gelato♪♪ The rich matcha flavor is beyond expectations, truly a premium matcha ice cream that is delicious♪③Koryaikeru Spicy Hakata Mentaiko Flavor 216 yen (tax included)■Store Information■"Koryaikeru" is a healthy rice chip made with domestically selected rice using healthy oil. The mentaiko flavor is spicy and full of umami.★Impressions★The fluffy texture with a spicy mentaiko flavor is enjoyable.④Very Very Granola 540 yen (tax included)■Store Information■A new addition to the Arare Crunch series, the popular "Granola" is now available. Enjoy a lovely snack moment with the combination of Arare and Granola's savory aroma, white chocolate's gentle sweetness, and the sweet and sourness of cranberries and strawberries.★Impressions★The taste is based on white chocolate with a firm texture from the granola. Not bad at all(゜o゜) It's a bit fancy in the case.

A senbei shop from Fukuoka has opened in Miyanosawa, and my family often buys their products. One of our favorites is the "Taiyo no Kagayaki" refill pack in sweet soy sauce flavor. Despite the name, it's not too sweet but rather has a light soy sauce seasoning, which is very delicious. It's like a slightly less salty version of karinto. The shape is large, similar to karinto. The rice used is Hinohikari, a representative rice from Kyushu, which is a cross between Koshihikari and Golden Harvest. They offer a variety of snacks, including those made with chocolate and black beans. It's convenient to have a shop in Miyanosawa now, so we don't have to go all the way to Daimaru Sapporo. In December 2015, I bought various snacks in addition to my favorite Taiyo no Kagayaki. The almond mochi, zarami senbei, and peanut bon were all delicious, especially the homemade mochi. The balance of the filling was perfect, making it my new favorite. The mochi skin is the same as the rice cake, after all.

This is "Mochi Yoshi", a specialty store in Fukuoka that mainly sells senbei and okaki, traditional Japanese rice crackers. The store offers a variety of rice-based snacks, from gift items to everyday tea treats. The snacks are made from high-quality mochi rice and uruchi rice selected by a rice expert. The crispy texture and savory flavor of the snacks go well with Japanese tea. Japanese snacks are truly comforting and delicious.

On a certain holiday, while walking from Miyanozawa Station, I came across a bustling shop with a sign that read "mochi," so I couldn't help but rush in. The parking lot in front of the shop seemed to have enough space for several cars. Inside the shop, which was about the size of a convenience store, there were various snacks like rice crackers and senbei displayed, but there seemed to be very few fresh sweets. On this particular day, everyone was eagerly looking at the products as it was a special event. I was a bit concerned about the items that caught my eye because my bag was small and carrying them would be inconvenient during my walk. I decided to buy a few items that caught my attention. The "Ume no Ka Mochi" (on sale for 172 yen) had a good quality of glutinous rice, a large size, a crispy texture, and a delicious taste with a strong plum flavor that made my mouth water instantly. The "Vegetable Karinto" (on sale for 172 yen) had colorful karinto with different flavors, not just sweet, but also with a hint of vegetable taste, which I liked. I also bought a single "Kurobou" (on sale for 19 yen). It had a delicious sweetness on the surface from black sugar and a soft texture inside. I haven't had Kurobou in a long time! Due to my small bag and weight loss goals, I only bought a few items, but I realized it could have been dangerous if I had a car because the items were already affordable and on a big sale. I would like to purchase more items with moderation when I stop by again. Thank you for the meal.

I don't like owning things, so I rarely buy products that I have reviewed. The only items I have purchased are the White Lady and Wave Handy Wiper. The last thing I bought was Mochikichi's En Mochi. It has a chewy texture and a delicious taste. I tried the white bean paste flavor, but there are many other flavors available like sweet potato and matcha. I bought all the flavors and tried the sweet potato one, which was really tasty. It had a delicious roasted sweet potato flavor. It's been three years since I last had it, but it was still delicious.

This is a review of a Japanese confectionery shop located along Kitago-dori in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. While on a walk, I usually buy daifuku or bread, but on this day, I happened to notice this shop and decided to check it out. Since it was around New Year's, the shop was quite crowded, but customers seemed to know what they wanted and were able to make their purchases quickly. The shop mainly offers senbei (rice crackers), with a variety of options including some discounted items. Among them, I was drawn to the soy sauce senbei called "Omatsuri Mochi" that I hadn't tried in a while. It had a crispy texture that was neither too hard nor too soft, with a deliciously savory and sweet soy sauce flavor that highlighted the quality of the ingredients. This shop is now on my list of potential gifts to bring in the future.

Today, I visited a shop to buy a few things. While browsing the store, I was offered some samples and tea, and the rice cracker was so delicious that I ended up buying some for myself. ★Date and Time of Visit★ July 14, 2014 (Monday) / Evening ★Purpose★ Purchased for home use ★Order Details★ Festival Rice Cracker Curry Flavor (378 yen) / 3 pieces of round rice cake (259 yen) ★Order to Service Time★ Immediately ★Food Review★ The curry-flavored rice crackers have a strong curry aroma as soon as you open the large bag. They taste like curry and would be perfect as a snack with sour or fizzy alcoholic drinks. The round rice cakes come in various flavors, but only white bean paste was available. They were very chewy and had a nice stickiness, with just the right size and very delicious. They go well with hot tea. ★Recommendation!!★ This shop has a wide variety of products. There are many different types of rice crackers that I would love to try. The customer service was very polite and excellent. I highly recommend it for home use as well as for small purchases.

Mochikichi is a store based in Nogata City, Kyushu, founded in 1929, making it 85 years old this year. Their main business is the production and sale of rice confectionery. The main store is located at 2400 Shitakado, Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, in front of Mochinokami Shrine. In Sapporo, they have a branch at Daimaru Sapporo, which is their second store in Hokkaido. This branch, located in Miyanosawa, Sapporo, opened in September last year. I visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. The store is bright and spacious, with a wide variety of products. Upon entering, a staff member brought hot tea and tea snacks to customers, a service not offered at the Daimaru store. There were plenty of samples available inside the store. I purchased several items, including the Mochi Village Kuzumochi Ripe Persimmon, which is meant to be served chilled with white syrup and kinako. I also tried the Akafuku soft mochi, Enmochi with red bean paste, and Warabe Yuki senbei. Overall, the products were delicious and the store was easy to navigate with a wide selection. I look forward to trying their Mochi Festival and skewered dango next time.

I used to occasionally visit Mochikichi in Daimaru because I love mochi festivals, but I was hoping that a Mochikichi with a variety of sweets like dango could open in Sapporo. I was surprised to discover that one had actually opened in Miyanosawa. While Mochikichi's main offerings are mochi festival (I like the salad flavor) and senbei, this location has a great selection of other sweets. The taste is pretty average, but the reasonable prices are appealing.

I received some snacks due to the decrease in visitors and snacks at the company because of the impact of Corona. It turns out that Mochiyoshi is based in Fukuoka, which I didn't know before. It ranks fourth in sales, following Kameda Seika, Sanko Seika, and Iwatsuka Seika. The snacks I received were large, with two on my desk. The classic salad senbei and the plump rice cake with almonds and soy sauce flavor. Both are reliably delicious as a tea snack! For this type of rice snack, I like to let the soy sauce flavor melt in my mouth slowly. I don't eat them crunchily. This way, the soy sauce flavor lingers and the deliciousness doubles! I wish I could have eaten more. Thank you for the meal!

I was satisfied with the subtly salty flavor, fluffy and crispy texture, and the delicious taste of high-quality rice in the Mochi Omatsuri. The attention to detail by Mochikichi really shines through in this product. I plan to enjoy it little by little until the end of the year. I usually break individually packaged senbei into four pieces before eating, but this time I tried eating it in half. The ingredients are made with domestically grown Koshihikari rice and pure natural water from a selected forest source, expertly baked by skilled artisans with care. I felt that this senbei is of high quality in terms of rice, water, and craftsmanship. It has a light saltiness, not too oily, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The Mochi Omatsuri was a gift, and I often struggle to finish all the snacks I receive before they expire, but I think I can finish this one before the end of the year. ☆☆☆ Next time on Mochikichi: Good rice, good water, good craftsmanship.

Mochikichi has been around for about 15 years. At first, it was available through mail order, but now you can purchase it at Daimaru department store. I found out about their new store opening at Miyanosawa through a newspaper insert flyer and decided to check it out. They were offering a limited edition can with 41 pieces for 1,050 yen. Additionally, if you spent over 1,050 yen, you would receive a special opening gift of a 6-piece tasting set including flavored water, salad-flavored rice crackers, and bean mochi. The store had unique traditional Japanese sweets like daifuku and skewered dango, but I chose the sakura mochi with 3 pieces for 280 yen. The staff mentioned that it should be consumed by the next day, but I enjoyed it on the same day. The soft and fluffy rice cake with sweet bean paste and a hint of cherry blossom flavor was delicious. I look forward to savoring the rice crackers slowly in the future.
