Calma, an Italian restaurant, draws you in with its deliberately inconspicuous hidden entrance. When I visited before the relocation, it was still in a nearby location, and the name of the restaurant was Trattoria Carma. The Italian lunch menu offered excellent value for money. I enjoyed a Genovese linguine with basil from Ishikari, served with Kumamoto oysters, and a hot coffee. The meal started with an avocado and apple sorbet topped with prosciutto, a refreshing way to begin a hot summer day. The appetizer was beautifully presented with bitter melon and leafy vegetables, accompanied by a lamb terrine and liver pate. The main dish was a delicious pasta dish featuring Kumamoto oysters and Genovese linguine with basil from Ishikari. The oysters were plump and creamy, and the pasta had a satisfying chewy texture. The meal ended with a mascarpone cheesecake that was moist and delicious. The overall experience at Calma was delightful, with a great ambiance, delicious food, and skilled chefs.

Lunch with a friend. We shared pasta today, which they change regularly. The main pasta today was a seaweed-infused fresh pasta with Kumamoto oysters. We also had spaghetti with peeled shrimp, snow crab, and whitebait in a tomato cream sauce. The meal included homemade bread, 2 appetizers, dessert, and a drink. Delicious! Sharing doubles the enjoyment!

Moved from Trattoria Karma to Calma, the new restaurant with fewer seats, so it's recommended to make a reservation before visiting. The place may seem unassuming, but the food is fantastic. Finally got to enjoy the chef's dishes again after a long time! The new location and the food are both wonderful. (Forgot to take a photo of the dessert)

Sapporo City Kita 34-Jo Station and Asahikawa Station, the Italian restaurant that used to be behind the Seven has relocated. They had been talking about relocating due to the demolition of the building they were in, and after a temporary closure, they have finally reopened. This time, the owner will mainly operate the restaurant alone at the counter, making it a cozy and intimate dining experience. The counter is decorated in calming white tones, with a single counter and a few tables placed towards the back, only accepting group reservations but not aiming to fill the restaurant to full capacity. The owner, who used to be busy in the kitchen, is now engaging in lively conversations with customers, making the dining experience more enjoyable. The menu has been simplified, with only one main course offered instead of the previous two-course options. The wine selection has also been changed to include more affordable options, such as a Chilean bottle recommended by the owner. The food was delicious, with slight changes to the usual salad and pasta dishes, a seafood appetizer, and a lamb main course with a customized sauce. The dessert and coffee were a perfect ending to the meal. The owner shared the thought and effort put into every detail of the restaurant's design, wanting to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for customers without flashy decorations. The reviewer looks forward to returning to the restaurant in the future.
