I went to the newly opened McCafe. There is no McDonald's in Monbetsu, and I used to be more of a Mos Burger person, so I mainly stuck to the Filet-O-Fish at McDonald's. But I saw a YouTube video on the Ega Channel before and I was really curious about the apple pie. So, I decided to try a variety of items. I got the Filet-O-Fish, apple pie, bacon potato pie, peach shake, nuggets, and sausage egg muffin. The apple pie was not too sweet and the crust was crispy and delicious. I remember in the video they dipped the apple pie in a vanilla shake. I should have tried that. The Filet-O-Fish from McDonald's is still delicious. It has a slightly cheap feel to it, but it's not fishy and that's good. Next time, I want to try the apple pie and shake.

I stopped by after a long time~ The menu at McDonald's has changed since the opening, with a clear distinction between the regular menu and the McCafé. I ordered a café latte and a vanilla macaron. The staff kindly recommended a set menu that was more affordable. There were trending topics being discussed inside the store. When I want to relax, it can get a bit noisy (laughs). My family said it might be to drown out other people's conversations, but I still didn't like it. The latte was good and the small macaron for 190 yen was a bit expensive but okay. It was a nice treat once in a while.

The mobile order for the lunch set was available on my phone, but it disappeared at 13:59. If you order after 14:00, the 100 yen set becomes more expensive. I chose the cheaper option, Eguchi, so it cost me an extra 40 yen. The new store is clean and nice. Normally, the eggs are overcooked, but today they were slightly runny. I heard that they no longer cook eggs in the store, but there seems to be a difference.

Flat White and Marshmallow Cream Tart at McDonald's Cafe for the first time. The McDonald's store is open from 7:00 to 23:00, but the cafe register seems to be open from 9:00 to 22:00, so I had to visit three times before finally being able to place an order. The Flat White is probably similar to what other places call a cappuccino, a drink that is like a Cafe Latte but when in doubt, go for this one. It's delicious. The Marshmallow Cream Tart is exactly as the name suggests, a sweet treat. It's quite sweet.

I heard that a new McDonald's opened, so I decided to go check it out. The drive-thru was really crowded, so I went inside where there was also a long line at the counter. I ordered a Teriyaki Burger set with an Earl Grey Iced Tea. McDonald's Earl Grey tea has a strong aroma that I really like. The Teriyaki Burger didn't seem very thick overall, but the sweet sauce made it taste pretty good. I usually prefer Mos Burger, but I think McDonald's Teriyaki is also tasty. Now, McDonald's fries... why are they so addictive? They're thin, crispy, and not very potato-like, yet incredibly delicious. It's a mysterious food that stands out from others. Even though Mos Burger or KFC fries are more potato-like and fluffy, McDonald's skinny, crispy fries are the most delicious. The line at the counter was long, so I tried mobile ordering for the first time. It was easy and convenient, with the order number displayed on the screen for smooth pick-up. I'll definitely use this option again next time!

I wonder why people are so obsessed with getting the first place on food review websites. I don't understand the feeling of taking photos just to post them online to win that spot. It's not something that matters to me, but lately it seems like that's all people care about. It's not interesting to me at all. After work, I had some errands in Kitami, so I thought I might as well go to McDonald's while I'm there. Kitami isn't a city I would go out of my way to visit just for the sake of posting on food review websites. McDonald's and Domino's aren't my top priority, but I didn't feel strongly about it, so I went to Obihiro last week. Inside the McDonald's, I noticed there were two registers, and when I went to one, there was no one there, so I moved to the other one, only to be told by the person behind me that they were ready to take orders. Why ask the person behind me? I moved back to the first register, and then the person told me it was for coffee orders only. They should have made that clear. I ended up getting irritated. I ordered the "Teriyaki Chicken Filet" without really knowing what it was, just because I hadn't tried it before. I was feeling irritated throughout the whole experience. When I opened the burger, it was clearly messy. The paper wrapping was secure, so it shouldn't have looked like that after just an hour and a half. There's no excuse for that. Maybe they wanted to tell me they made it in a rush because they were busy. I got the message. I didn't eat it. My wife tried it and said it was delicious, but I only had a small bite of the meat part. I don't like chicken breast. The taste was too strong for me, and it wasn't enjoyable. But my wife seemed to like it.
