On April 30, 2023 at 6:00 PM, after working the night shift, I traveled back home for Golden Week. I arrived at Komatsu Airport, then New Chitose Airport, Sapporo, and finally Asahikawa. I was very hungry as I hadn't eaten much, so I went to this izakaya near my parents' house! The large chicken skewers, zangi (fried chicken), and horse sashimi were fresh and satisfying with thick cuts. I was pleasantly tipsy and full, so I walked back to my parents' house, which was only 5 minutes away, and fell into a deep sleep!

On 08/08/20, I enjoyed a solo drinking session on my day off. My wife and daughter were not home on a Saturday night. I had spent the day doing household chores - laundry, cleaning, weeding. I really worked hard. I decided to treat myself with a reward! I had a 1000 yen discount coupon from my last visit, so I could drink cheaply. The all-you-can-drink system in 30-minute increments was the same as last time. I had to go for the all-you-can-drink option to enjoy real beer and highballs. After all, I was drinking outside. Of course, I started with the all-you-can-drink option. The food here is quite good, especially the skewers and fried items. I made sure to eat some vegetables too (laughs) while drinking. When I got tired of beer, I noticed they had Hoppy this time. I ordered a Hoppy set. Hmm, there's nothing sadder than weak Hoppy (tears). Somehow, I managed and ordered a highball. "I'm sorry, we're out of Kaku-bin," they said. What?! Running out of alcohol on a weekend night... It defeats the purpose of going for the all-you-can-drink option (double tears). Feeling unsatisfied, I left after a 110-minute stay. The bill before the discount was 3105 yen excluding tax. They were honest about counting the time for the all-you-can-drink option in 30-minute increments, which was a good point. The name of the restaurant, "Teketeket," is the name of a yokai that is said to be around this area. It seems like the yokai showed up when I placed my order (laughs). If I feel like meeting the yokai again, I'll visit this place again.

23/03/19 Dinner alone on a holiday. It's the weekend night without my wife and daughter. I'm on a business trip in Sapporo. I decided to explore the local charm in the Harukou area. However, the restaurant I planned to visit was fully booked. The backup option was unexpectedly closed due to the owner's circumstances. What a disappointment. After walking for 30 minutes, I finally arrived at this place. "How many people?" Just one! Last time I visited was about 3 years ago. All drinks are now on a 30-minute all-you-can-drink basis. I had to pay an additional 99 yen (excluding tax) to be able to drink draft beer and highball. These are my go-to drinks. I had no choice but to add the extra fee. This is a typical suburban izakaya. It's bustling with families and couples on weekends. I knew from my previous visit that the food here is good. I ordered a few skewers. The all-you-can-drink started at 7:45 pm. It automatically extends, so I had to keep an eye on the time while drinking. I felt a bit uneasy. The first dish arrived 25 minutes later. It's a bit slow, even though the place was almost full. The pork skewers were delicious. The large pieces of meat were very juicy and went well with beer. But I only ordered two skewers. "It's our mistake, so we'll cancel one." The sauce on the tsukune was pleasantly sweet. The bacon-wrapped mochi was a perfect snack. I finished three glasses of Premium Malt and switched to highball. There were 40 minutes left until the scheduled end time. It was time to order the last dish. The fried yam arrived 15 minutes before the end time. I had to eat quickly. The fried yam was crispy and the mayonnaise complemented it well. But I had to hurry before they added more drinks. I ate and drank heartily. It was 9:15 pm when the 90-minute all-you-can-drink ended. The total price for tonight was 3,922 yen including tax. It's a typical price for a local izakaya. But... it's a good idea to check the receipt before paying. I was a bit disappointed despite the delicious food at this popular izakaya in the Harukou area. If I have the chance, I'll visit again. I have uploaded the latest food menu. Please take a look if you're interested.

At a dining restaurant in Asahikawa City, a group of coworkers visited and tried the spicy kimchi fried rice called "Bloody Fried Rice" and two types of ramen - Hell's Gate Ramen and Salt Ramen. The Hell's Gate Ramen was a spicy miso ramen, while the Salt Ramen had medium-thick noodles. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and all dishes received a perfect score in the review.

I feel a bit uneasy because the bill is fixed for 30 minutes of all-you-can-drink (being cheap lol). The yakitori could use a bit more salt for seasoning. The waitress's cheerful smile when taking orders is good. It's a place nearby where you can casually go often, but it's a bit on the pricey side.

Probably since its opening, I visited the izakaya "Teketek" in Asahikawa City, Harumitsu-cho 5-ku 4-jo 2. Operating hours are from 6 pm to 2 am, smoking is allowed, and there is parking available. It is a noticeable building in a residential area. The parking lot next to the store is actually for Hanazono-yu, located next to it. The parking lot for Teketek is diagonally across from the store. You may want to ask the staff for more details. The bustling atmosphere inside Teketek remains the same. They have various menu items that are not very common elsewhere. The chicken skin gyoza has a unique texture, you may love it or hate it. I personally enjoy it. The cartilage tempura costs 460 yen, slightly larger than the usual size. Bacon tempura is exactly what it sounds like, bacon tempura. The yam tempura with a hint of yam texture costs 440 yen. I really like this one, despite being fried, it is light. The recommended dish of the day is the long yam mentaiko cheese bake for 450 yen. Despite its appearance, it is quite light and easy to eat. You can have as much as you want. The crispy texture of the long yam, the fragrant cheese with some burnt parts, and the mentaiko that adds flavor all collaborate well together.

You need a car to get there. They have parking and can arrange for a taxi, so no worries. It's best to make a reservation early on weekends. In Asahikawa, in a dark residential area, there is a single light shining... It's summer, so the entrance has a screen door. When you slide open the door, it's lively inside! There are counter seats on the left, and raised tatami seating and lofts on the right and on the second floor. The loft area seems to fill up quickly with reservations. Sitting down, I looked at the menu. I found an interesting menu item called "Treasure Box" and ordered it. When you open the treasure box, smoke comes out! It's dangerous! (Just kidding, you won't turn into an old man) It's actually a sashimi platter. The gimmick is fun and makes for a good conversation starter. There are other interesting menu items and of course, all-you-can-drink options, which would be great for young people! There happened to be a surprise birthday celebration for someone with the same age and birthday as me, which was quite a surprise! The staff is young, energetic, and pleasant. This place gives off good vibes. It's a bit far from the city, but I highly recommend it!

I returned to Asahikawa after 3 years for some errands and decided to visit a restaurant that I liked. The parking for cars was still confusing as before, but the "Teketeke specialty" was good. However, the amount of food for each dish was surprisingly small compared to before. My two high school daughters ordered repeatedly but their stomachs never felt full. It was a bit of a disappointment. I understand times are tough now, but the portions are too small. Especially for the octopus with wasabi and yakitori.

The variety of drinks and food on the menu was interesting, with creative dishes, unique serving dishes, and presentation. The tsukune was incredibly delicious and I definitely want to eat it again! The tsukune with grated daikon and raw egg on top (tsukune tamago toji) was also amazingly tasty! Even the kids were fighting over it. It was only around 120 yen. I had the ramen salad three times because it was so good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing, they were open late, and there was parking available right in front of the shop for about 6 cars, and it was free so we could take our time. The menu had a playful and creative writing style. However, when I visited in mid-April, it was a bit cold near the entrance. Maybe because the heater wasn't on. Also, the burdock chips and fried potatoes were soggy and not crispy, which was disappointing for the kids. We were able to take them home and fry them again to enjoy.

The restaurant offers a variety of interesting dishes such as sashimi served in a smoke-filled jade box. They also have birthday discounts and a wide selection of plum wines. The menu is delicious and reasonably priced. The spacious setting is family-friendly, with many families with young children visiting. In the middle of the restaurant, there is a tree that changes its decorations uniquely depending on the season, like during Tanabata.

I went to Hot Pepper for the first time, and I think it was because they were having a sale, but it was cheap, the portions were large, and the presentation was beautiful. Among izakayas, I think it's quite high-class! I got hooked on their plum wine for 300 yen each!

Joined a drinking party with my junior colleagues. Oh, the prices are a bit high... Next time, we should definitely go for all-you-can-drink! It's pricier than a regular izakaya, but since we'll be staying longer, it's worth it. The food was delicious.
