I forgot when was the last time I went there. I felt like going to an izakaya, so I made a reservation and went. It seemed like all the rooms were private. We ordered various dishes and ate. But somehow, it felt different from before. There were quite a few items that we ordered but never received. We order using our smartphones, and the waiter said that the orders were piling up and the Wi-Fi stopped working. Oh well, it was nostalgic, Tsubohachi. I realized after eating that I forgot to take photos, so there are only a few. We had hormone fried chicken and cut steak.

Located on the first floor of a building along Shin-Kotoni Street in Nishino Area, this izakaya chain has its own parking space in the parking lot next to the building. They stay open until late at night in this area, so my wife and I decided to have dinner there. The interior of the restaurant is not fully visible, but there are many private rooms available. We were guided to a private room, which had a nostalgic feel with its old-fashioned design and a TV in each room. They offer classic menu items as well as seasonal specials, making it hard to decide what to order. This time, we tried the "Grilled Whole Atka Mackerel (880 yen excluding tax)," "Grilled Beef Tongue with Salt and Green Onions (980 yen excluding tax)," "Crab Rice Porridge (480 yen excluding tax)," "Sauce Yakisoba (450 yen excluding tax)," "Potato Rice Cake with Butter and Soy Sauce (380 yen excluding tax)," "Pickled Mackerel (480 yen excluding tax)," and "Tsubohachi Salad (half size) 300 yen excluding tax." Everything we ordered was delicious, but personally, I found the fatty Atka Mackerel to be the best. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations, making it a great choice for gatherings or meals.

Tsubohachi is the best♪ They have really improved from being unpopular before, their recent efforts are impressive♪ The private rooms here are great, you can gossip and talk freely♪ But be careful, the ceilings are open so loud voices can be heard haha. The usual napoletana pasta is chewy and rich, and the hot skillet makes it even better than regular cafes♪ My friend was so excited about eating gratin today, and it was delicious♪ The Genghis Khan dish was amazing, the cabbage was cooked perfectly. I definitely want to try it again. The salad comes with dressing on the side, which is nice. There was a lot of daikon in it though. The small shrimp tempura is so crispy and addictive. The classic menu items are tasty, but I was intrigued by the seasonal dishes. I might try one next time♪ I'll definitely come back.

Here, all the rooms are private and they have TVs. During baseball season, this is the place to be. Everyone in each room cheers at the same time, creating a lively atmosphere. Last year, when our team won the Japan Series, we all celebrated together, even though we couldn't see each other's faces. But then came the seven-game losing streak... It was too soon for a miraculous comeback. At least we hope to turn things around before the interleague games. Anyway, this place is great for relaxing and chatting without worrying about others. You can talk about anything here. The food may not be exceptional, but it has definitely improved from the times when people were avoiding this place. My favorite is the Napoli-style spaghetti, which is really chewy and addictive. Even when it cools down, it still tastes good. On this day, they had spring menu items like tempura of fern sprouts and bamboo shoots. I usually don't like tempura, but I love tempura made with wild vegetables. The staff here is amazing, always friendly and accommodating. The food comes out really quickly, even when it's busy. They never make you feel rushed, even during important games. The dessert was a chocolate cake with extra whipped cream, which they kindly adjusted for me. I love this place and will definitely come back again.

It had been a long time since my high school friend from Tokyo came to Sapporo for sightseeing during his visit to his hometown of Hakodate. He wanted to drink around Odori Park, but his hotel was far, so I picked him up by car after work. I didn't know many places in my area, so I took him to Tsubohachi in Nishi-ku. Despite knowing that there is a Tsubohachi in Tokyo, I wanted him to experience the level of Tsubohachi in Hokkaido. We had a drink and ordered dishes like tuna sashimi, tonpeiyaki cabbage, warm egg Caesar salad, and cucumber pickles. We caught up on the past 20 years and shared stories about our lives. He is now the vice president of a custom-made clothing store in Tokyo, having graduated from a fashion design school. I, on the other hand, have gained weight since moving back to Hokkaido. We enjoyed the food and drinks, and he was impressed by the service and quality of Tsubohachi in Hokkaido. It was a great reunion after such a long time. Later, I visited Tsubohachi in Nishino with my foodie friend S, as our usual place was closed. We had dishes like lamb roast, trout salmon and avocado carpaccio, and nigiri sushi, all of which were delicious. The lamb roast was beautifully cooked and served with a garlic soy sauce, while the carpaccio was fresh and flavorful. The nigiri sushi was well-prepared, and we enjoyed our meal. The chef mentioned that the menu would change from February 12, so we wondered if we would continue reviewing the new dishes. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

'10.03.27 I was invited to a friend's birthday party and once again went to Nishino. As usual, we ordered various dishes to share, but since I had some criticism about the "shijimi ramen" last time, I decided to order it again to see if it had improved. Therefore, my 83rd bowl of ramen this year was the "shijimi ramen," and this time we ordered a big pot with four servings. The main difference from last time was the amount of shijimi - there was a lot, and the flavor of the shijimi really stood out! However, it was a bit too salty. We also had dishes like half-fried young chicken, daikon and crab salad, and enjoyed highballs before heading home. It was a delicious meal! Rating for the "shijimi ramen": ★★★☆ '10.03.13 I was invited by a friend and once again visited Tsubo Hachi in Nishino. We ordered various dishes, and they even made a ramen salad for me, which was not on the menu. I don't count the ramen salad as a bowl of ramen. We also ordered other dishes, but I don't have pictures, so I'll skip those. For my 66th bowl this year, I tried the seasonal menu item "shijimi ramen for 450 yen." It had a subtle shijimi flavor, but personally, I think it could have had more shijimi taste. Nevertheless, at this price, it's a good deal and delicious. That's the good thing about Tsubo Hachi! It was a great meal! '10.01.09 I attended a New Year's party with my golf buddies after work. As usual, we ate and drank a lot! The highballs disappeared quickly, so they started serving them in large mugs. The staff's quick thinking and the comfortable atmosphere make this place great. It was a delicious meal! '09.04.29 Since my friend's house is nearby, I often visit this Tsubo Hachi. Among the Tsubo Hachi chain, I think the food here has a high cost-performance ratio! Especially, the medium fatty tuna and fluke sushi are cheap and delicious, much better than going to a cheap conveyor belt sushi restaurant. And of course, I never miss the ramen here. It's almost like instant ramen, but with plenty of vegetables to fill you up just right. As for alcohol, there are few options for keeping a bottle of shochu, so I hope they consider that a little more. But at this price, can we really expect that? (bitter smile)

I went there for the first time. It is a popular izakaya in Hokkaido. The restaurant has counter seats and private rooms. I was seated in a private room. There was a TV inside, and it wasn't a completely private room as there was a curtain. I ordered a Caesar salad, fried cartilage, shrimp tempura roll, rolled omelette with broth, and for dessert, I had deep-fried bread with ice cream on top. Overall, the food was delicious and satisfying. The dessert was especially tasty, and I would like to eat it again! It was a shame that there was no option for all-you-can-drink alcohol.

Today, I was in the mood for a variety of foods so I went out to find an izakaya. After some consideration, I decided to go to Tsubohachi, a place I often see. The prices were reasonable and the food was decent, so there was no disappointment. It had been a while since my last visit, and I was surprised to see that the raised seating area in the middle had been turned into private booths. I was then led to a booth with a TV, which was another surprise! The kids were entertained by the TV, which was a great help. The dishes had improved in quality and were delicious. I was especially surprised by the size of the fried shrimp. With the private booths and this level of quality, I definitely want to come back again.

When I visited during my trip, I stopped by Tsubohachi, which originated in Hokkaido. The quality of the dishes here is definitely better than what you find in Honshu! Especially the freshness of the sashimi and the quality of the saury and flounder seem to be good. I thought all chain stores sourced the same frozen products, but it seems different. It was a lucky find when I casually walked in. If they could bring this sashimi quality to Honshu, I think it would be popular, but maybe it's just not possible...

Three families with children entered the restaurant. Most of the seating was in private rooms, allowing for a leisurely dining experience. The menu is well-known for being affordable, especially the drinks which are priced very reasonably. While the dishes may not be particularly outstanding, they are all tasty and budget-friendly, allowing customers to order without worrying about the cost. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit hard to find, so having a sign would be helpful.
