The owner of the shop is very nice!! There are many varieties, and because of their size, you can eat a lot. My husband and I visited two days in a row and brought home a total of 14 taiyaki (7 each day) and ate them all! If you go to Hakodate Station, be sure to buy some. They make it fresh after you order, so it's always freshly baked and very delicious! Just be aware that it takes a little time, so it's better to have some extra time.

The size is quite small compared to a regular taiyaki, and at 130 yen, it feels a bit pricey. However, I tried the condensed milk cream flavor and it was very delicious, with a soft and fluffy texture. I ate it after letting it sit for a while, and even when it was cold, it was still tasty!

Hello~. After saying that, they explained quickly. Most of the items in the showcase are dummies and they bake them after you order. If you want to eat it right away, they wrap it in paper, and if you want to take it home, they put it in a pack. I ordered a pack. The custard cream has condensed milk in it, making it soft. It was made by a pastry chef from Sapporo. I wonder who that could be?! I also tried the rum raisin flavor, which was actually chocolate. Both were creamy and delicious! The skin was chewy, and it had a satisfying texture despite its small appearance. It was delicious in its own way. They also had a taiyaki made to look like squid ink, with charcoal mixed in. They also offer an original sweet potato flavor for furusato nozei. There is a cute cat on top of the shop, made from a single tree. It would be nice if it became a new taste of Hakodate. Thank you for the meal!

I went to Hakodate for a visit, and although it wasn't very late, many shops were already closed. There weren't many people around either. When I approached one shop, I saw a sign that said "Please ring the chime to call for service." I was surprised but rang the chime, and someone came out quickly. I wanted to try the Keema curry, but they said they had to cook it fresh, and I didn't want to wait in the cold, so I chose a taiyaki with sweet red bean paste from the pre-made selection. It was small, bite-sized, with a chewy white dough and sweet red bean paste inside. It was just the right size for someone who likes spicy food like me, but someone with a sweet tooth could probably eat several. Next time, I'll try the Keema curry. Thank you, Matsuri-an!

Hakodate Station. This is the last stop on the Hakodate tour. I didn't eat much this time. I should praise myself for controlling my portions. Looking forward to stepping on the scale when I get back! Hakodate stop #24, "Matsuri-an Hakobiba-ten". It's a taiyaki shop, but they have a ticket machine. The taiyaki looks like it's for a first grader! Finally, I chose something Hakodate-like. Squid ink keema curry for 130 yen. They didn't have it in stock, so they made it fresh. I feel bad for just ordering one. It was ready in about 5 minutes. It was chewy, hot, and delicious! I think they could make it bigger and charge around 300 yen. The curry was also well-seasoned. Overall, it was a hit for me! I'm looking forward to my next trip to Hakodate for work. Thank you for the meal!

In front of Hakodate Station, there is a taiyaki shop called "Matsurian" at Hakobiba. They have a vending machine in front of the store, and the taiyaki comes in several flavors, each priced at 130 yen (tax included). After purchasing a ticket and handing it to the male staff, they inform you that it will take about 10 minutes to cook. However, what is displayed in the showcase are food samples. While waiting, you can have a drink nearby. After 15 minutes, you can receive your order and enjoy it inside JR station. The keyma curry taiyaki costs 130 yen, with a small black taiyaki made with squid ink in the dough, giving it a chewy texture. The curry filling is spicy and delicious. The Tokachi red bean taiyaki also costs 130 yen, with a filling that is subtly sweet and elegantly made. Although the size may not seem worth the price, it is still delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a new taiyaki shop called Hakobiba. They make smaller taiyaki than usual, priced at 160 yen each. I tried the custard and rum raisin flavors, and the texture of the dough was very chewy.

Welcome.---------- December 2019 ----------When you exit the station in the Hakodate Station area, turn left and you will see a new complex commercial facility called "Hakodate Ekimae Yokocho". Inside, there is a lady in front of a showcase with Japanese sweets taiyaki written on it. When you say "I'll have this, this, and this", she will tell you to use the ticket machine behind you. Well, I didn't notice that haha. Each one costs 130 yen, and they may seem a bit expensive because they are small, but they have a variety of flavors. The dough is moist and chewy. The dough with haskap and berry marshmallow is chewy and moist, with a nice tangy flavor from the haskap. The white bean paste with rum raisin is an amazing combination, with a smooth and rich white bean paste and a hint of rum raisin flavor. The chocolate and fontaine chocolate with a crispy fontaine is interesting. I haven't had this type of dough much, so it feels fresh. It seems like it would be popular with foreigners. Most of the customers were elderly locals, but the flavors were enjoyable.
