This is the worst tasting food I've had in a long time! First of all, did they mess up the amount of alcohol in the drinks? They couldn't even make a decent highball! And the price does not match the taste at all! In terms of cost performance, it's at the bottom! I could eat something like this anywhere! I'm never going back there again!!

It's Saturday night, so I made a reservation just in case and visited for the first time with a friend. Here's what I ordered: - Recommended set of 7 items for 825 yen - Asparagus bacon roll for 506 yen - Chicken skin skewers for 363 yen - Salmon rice ball for 209 yen - 50th anniversary strawberry milk crepe & Hokkaido mascarpone ice cream for 638 yen - Ice coffee / Calpis water for 264 yen each - Table charge of 110 yen We left our shoes in the shoebox and entered the restaurant. It had private rooms with TVs. We used mobile ordering, but had trouble with the smoking room button. The staff helped us out by saying "Swipe up" on the phone, which worked. There was free Wi-Fi, but I needed a power outlet. They don't serve appetizers with juice, which was considerate. The table charge was only 110 yen, which was cheap. Some of my favorite menu items like Genghis Khan fried chicken and Choco parfait were no longer available. When they announced last order, I realized I had lost track of time catching up with an acquaintance from a distant workplace. Eventually, we were the last customers left. I lingered over juice, making it a late night out. It was nice to try different food and have a meal with someone new. Thank you for the meal.

In November 2020, I visited Tsubohachi for the first time in about thirty years. Due to the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, I chose to visit the "Tsubohachi Salmon Park" branch located in a residential area behind the station. This branch is situated in a commercial area with a TSUTAYA, a conveyor belt sushi restaurant called Hokuhokutei, and other stores nearby. I ordered sake and salt lemon sour for drinks, and for food, I had salted mackerel sashimi, chicken skewers, gizzard skewers, and a salad (half size) with fried salted hormone. The total cost slightly exceeded 3000 yen. The food quality seemed to have improved compared to the old Tsubohachi, but the prices were not as budget-friendly as expected. The restaurant mainly offers private rooms, which provide a calm and relaxed dining experience. I would like to visit again in the future to try more items on the menu.

During busy hours, the neighborhood was crowded, but I was able to get a table at Tsubo Hachi. Thank you very much! :)

The menu is limited... just cabbage with scrambled eggs on top, not really satisfying. The fried chicken, fried bread, and ice cream were delicious though.

When leaving the revolving sushi restaurant, I saw Tsubohachi on the left! I was already thinking about stopping by while parking the car in the parking lot (laughs). So, I visited with a full stomach (^^;; Plus, I can't drink alcohol (>_<) My usual designated driver, my wife, always says long distances are not possible (>o<) I tried saying, "It's not that far from Chitose, right?" as a last resort, but... she said, "If it's Tsubohachi in the city, it's fine," which means it's a no-go, right? (^^;; So, despite this being a review of an izakaya, it turned out to be a visit without alcohol (laughs). However, the menu at this restaurant is more diverse than my usual go-to places! ◇Recommended items at our restaurant like whale bacon sound nostalgic and delicious. ◇Tsubohachi special nigiri sushi I had just eaten at a revolving sushi place, but this looks so good! ◇All-you-can-drink This is a setting that my usual places don't have. I always wanted them to do a drink-all-you-can, so after seeing this, I guess I'll have to negotiate directly (laughs) 1,380 yen for 120 minutes♪ Beer in a medium glass is 460 yen, so you can break even with 3 glasses♪ My usual regular place, please do this too~ ♡ ◇Mozzarella cheese fry This stretches out like mochi and is delicious! ◇Bibai yakitori For my wife only (^^;; I ordered the salt flavor, but it seemed to lack enough salt (laughs) ◇The sign says to be considerate of the TV volume, but I was wondering why there's a TV in an izakaya in the first place. I happened to hear a conversation from the neighboring family with grandparents and a small grandchild using the TV as a conversation starter. "Are you bored? Wanna watch TV? I wonder what's on?" Oh! I see! Many families come to Tsubohachi now. There's a way to use the TV like this too (^^;; So, I also turned on the TV. They were showing Sazae-san (laughs) I ended up watching Sazae-san, after a long time, at an izakaya (laughs) ※Refer to the photo. When I was a student, watching Sazae-san on Sunday evenings made me feel down. "It's already the end of Sunday, tomorrow is school again (>o<)" It was a reflex reaction (laughs)
