To catch an early morning flight, I headed to New Chitose Airport. I remembered to buy a Snow Sand before boarding! Snow Sands sell out quickly, so I aimed to arrive just as the shop opened. By 7:30 AM, there was already a long line at the register. It took about 20 minutes to line up, grab the product, and make a purchase.

The Valentine's Day shop at JR Nagoya Takashimaya required online entry to purchase. I found out that you can buy them at the airport until the end of March, so I bought two boxes each of the black and white 5-packs. Since purchasing in Tokyo without waiting in line, I've enjoyed being able to buy without queues.

I visited the SNOWS ANA FESTA Chitose Lobby store located on the 2nd floor of New Chitose Airport in Chitose City, Hokkaido, across from domestic departure gate C before passing through the baggage inspection area. This time, I purchased Snow Sand Black (8 pieces for 1,647 yen). It is a sandwich made with rich and flavorful winter pasture milk chocolate sandwiched between crispy langue de chat. The moist dough and rich yet balanced sweetness of the chocolate go well together, making it very delicious. The sweets sold at SNOWS are made using milk from their own group's ranch. The way they raise cows in pasture at SNOWS, called "放牧 (houboku)," results in milk with a significantly different taste depending on the season. Milk squeezed in the cold season is considered to be rich in flavor, creamy, and delicious. Therefore, they want to deliver sweets made with delicious winter milk to as many people as possible, so SNOWS products are only available during the winter season. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much!【Snow Sand】Winter has come again, when light spills from the mountains wearing white hats. The early morning wind tickles the noses of the cows, waking them up. The milk collected with the break of dawn has a gentle sweet winter scent. Melting chocolate is gently hidden in a light cookie, the same golden color as the sunrise. This is a Hokkaido-born sweet that is particular about ingredients and deliciousness.

I had high expectations for this popular shop with long lines, but I didn't really like the Baumkuchen. It was dry and had a unique taste that didn't suit my preferences.

I received some souvenirs from the beautiful Y-chan from Hokkaido, and both of these sweets were delicious with cheese. I would love to try them again! I also want to visit the shop someday.

Nocchimu-san sent a message on LINE saying they had something to give for White Day, so I received a bag after work. To my surprise, it was a seasonal limited-time shop selling products like Snowsand, run by the company that also operates SNOWS Kinoito. This shop is very popular, with news reporting long lines forming daily. And I received a gift from SNOWS, not at Sapporo Station, but apparently purchased at Chitose Airport, which is not as crowded. The gift was Snowsand, made with milk from free-range cows and filled with a chocolate ganache made from smooth milk chocolate sandwiched between crispy langues de chat cookies. There are two types of chocolate ganache, one made with bitter chocolate and the other with white chocolate. Both have a smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture, with the bitter chocolate offering a balance of creaminess and sweetness, while the white chocolate has a buttery aroma that pairs well with the crispy langues de chat. The Snowball is a truffle made by wrapping cream in milk chocolate. Both the cream and chocolate have a smooth texture that melts quickly in your mouth, with a balanced flavor of cocoa and creaminess. These treats are so delicious that it's understandable why there are long lines in Sapporo, making it difficult to purchase. Although they are only available for a limited time, I would love to try them again if given the chance. Thank you for the meal!
