On a day when I felt like eating delicious udon, I visited this place for the first time. The beef and burdock udon had tender beef, and while the broth, udon, and overall flavor didn't stand out, it felt like a comforting home-cooked meal. The burdock tempura had a thick batter and was a bit oily. It might have been better if it was served on top of the udon from the start. The half-cooked egg tempura was a must-order for me, it always makes me feel happy. The lotus root tempura was crispy with a thick batter as well. The seasonal mixed vegetable rice had bamboo shoots in it, with a nice crispy burnt edge, a taste that never gets old. The simple seasoning was not overpowering, allowing me to enjoy it without feeling overwhelmed. The tempura was a bit thick, but it's great for when you want a hearty tempura meal. The pork cutlet bowl looked delicious, so I might try it with bukkake or cold udon next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Ordered cold udon and parent-child bowl's child bowl. It's refreshing for summer, but the udon is on the harder side and the broth is light, so it might be better served warm than cold. The parent-child bowl has a good amount of volume for a child's portion, so it might be good when you're hungry. The parent-child bowl didn't look very appealing, but the taste was average.

The mixed tempura bowl for 1100 yen was delicious, with juicy eggplant. The shrimp tempura was also well-fried, with a perfect half-cooked inside. The udon noodles had a firm texture as always. This is my go-to place for dining alone. If you follow them on Instagram, you get a free soft drink.

I went to a beauty salon in the morning. After lunchtime passed, I was starving. I saw a tempting menu for tempura rice bowl in front of a restaurant, so I decided to go in. The restaurant was quite busy with customers, so it must be popular. I looked through the menu and ended up ordering the Special Tempura Rice Bowl Set for 980 yen (tax included). I chose cold udon noodles as the side dish. After a short wait, the food arrived. I dug into the tempura rice bowl right away. But then, a staff member came over and realized they had brought me hot udon noodles instead of cold ones. They quickly exchanged it for the correct order. The tempura rice bowl was greasy, and as I started eating the udon noodles, I suddenly remembered, "Oh, I actually don't like udon noodles!" The broth didn't have much flavor, and the texture of the noodles felt strange. The portion size was generous. Visited in June 2023.

My husband asked if I wanted sushi or udon for lunch, so I decided to come for udon. We wanted to try a new restaurant, so we searched and found one with a variety of menu options. I was really indecisive, but I ended up choosing the Beef Udon with a thick texture. It was packed with ingredients and very filling, and surprisingly affordable at under 1000 yen! My husband, on the other hand, went for the tempura bowl instead of udon. It was also filling, but he felt the sauce was a bit too salty and would have preferred it to be sweeter. There are other menu items we want to try, so we'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on the Day of Great Appreciation this month. Had bukkake udon, okra natto, tempura of onsen tamago, and octopus karaage. Started by eating the udon as is, then added the okra natto. Also added the tempura of onsen tamago! The slimy texture and runny egg yolk of the tempura egg paired perfectly with the udon! In between, snacked on the octopus karaage. It was a feast! Thank you for the meal.

I had a delicious chicken tempura bukkake for lunch before. It came with mixed rice, which was a great deal! The noodles were chewy and firm. So, I decided to go for lunch again. This place is my favorite for bukkake. This time, I tried the beef and egg bukkake without rice. When it arrived, I was surprised by the noodles! They were extremely firm, beyond what I expected. I have eaten bukkake here many times before, but I had never encountered such hard noodles. My companion, an elderly person, also had bukkake and struggled to eat it, repeatedly commenting on how tough the noodles were. The noodles didn't even soak up the broth. I felt like I was playing a punishment game by eating the extremely firm noodles. I could endure it only because of the beef. I was a bit shocked because I knew how delicious their udon used to be. I couldn't help but think, "Maybe they didn't cook the noodles long enough?" That's how tough they were. If the noodles were a bit softer, I would definitely want to go back because the food is tasty. Thank you for the meal!

Today was the monthly big appreciation festival. This month, I tried curry udon for the first time in Shikoku. I added okra natto for 187 yen and grilled shredded cheese for 220 yen as toppings. It was a great choice, making the curry udon even more delicious to eat.

On February 21, 2023 (Tuesday), I was able to eat a big thanksgiving festival Bukkake Udon for 275 yen (tax included), so I also ordered onion and raw sakura shrimp tempura, asatsuki tempura, and dashimaki tamago, and ended up eating too much, haha. I always think that I really like Shikoku udon (*´-`)

Shrimp and Tempura Bowl Set with Udon - 850 yen When it gets cold, I feel like coming to this udon shop. There are plenty of shrimp in the bowl, so my stomach is satisfied. The large plate of udon also comes with mixed rice. The soup here has a gentle flavor, which is nice.

Located on the east side of Marui Imai, in the basement of a building called Sapporo Shante. It was not a place I often pass by, but I was intrigued by the name "Shikoku Udon" and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chicken Tempura Tartar Udon. The noodles had a firm texture and were quite chewy. Since the noodles were thick and firm, I thought it might be better to enjoy them with a dipping sauce rather than mixing them with the toppings.

This is an udon restaurant near Odori in Sapporo. They serve authentic Shikoku-style udon noodles that are smooth and chewy. I ordered a mini tempura bowl, but it turned out to be a regular-sized bowl, which was a pleasant surprise. I chose the duck and yuzu dipping udon, which was flavorful with the duck broth and hint of yuzu. I finished by adding white dashi to the remaining soup, which was delicious to the last drop.

The udon here is chewy and has a strong texture. The broth is delicious. The udon comes with dipping broth so you can enjoy it both ways. You can also mix the dipping broth with the noodles like soba soup, which is tasty. They have seasonal menu items too, so that's another thing to look forward to. It can get crowded during lunchtime, so it's best to come a bit later.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend and had the meat udon lunch set. I was happy to find out that during lunchtime, you can get a free upgrade to a large portion. The udon noodles were chewy yet firm, with a nice texture. The sweet and salty meat was delicious, and the tempura egg with its runny yolk was a perfect addition. Mixing it with the udon was so tasty. The meal also came with mixed rice, so even without the large portion, it might be a bit much for those with a smaller appetite. I personally enjoyed the large portion. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

First time using this restaurant. Looking at the menu, the prices are quite reasonable for the location. I ordered the tempura with grated radish on top for 1,023 yen including tax. It came out in about 15 minutes. It looked quite impressive. The tempura was big, especially the chikuwa! However, I was bothered by the sloppy way the green onions were cut. The tempura ingredients were good, but the batter was too thick and hard. The noodles were quite thick with a good chewiness and were delicious. There were many noodle menu options for under 1,000 yen, and it seemed like lunch was popular due to the location. The young staff members were working hard to provide good service, and they were very friendly.

On a weekday at 13:30, I had lunch at a nearby place and decided to visit Shikoku-san after a long time. It was so hard to choose what to eat, but I ended up deciding on the small shrimp tempura and egg over rice bowl set! I was looking forward to it. The small shrimp tempura and egg over rice bowl had five pieces of small shrimp tempura. The mitsuba (trefoil) was a nice accent, and I liked the taste and the amount of sauce. I don't like it when it's too soupy. The set came with udon noodles with wakame seaweed, fried tofu, green onions, and fish cake. The chewy udon noodles were delicious. It was a filling meal, and even at this time of day, there were quite a few customers. You can even have a drink at lunchtime, and I want to try that next time! It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I entered for the first time. I think it used to be a Japanese theater, and I have been to see movies there a few times. It's nostalgic to see the Big-Off Sapporo store across the street. The Takakuwa Building, Niban-kan, Marudai Building, and Hokusen Building are lined up with old buildings. Today, I was walking underground near the Yamagoya Minami 2-jo store, thinking of buying a used computer, and I came across this restaurant. However, there are few restaurants in this building. Personally, I think lunch for 2,000 yen is a bit... (laughs) I was attracted to the "Choose your drink and small appetizer set for 748 yen" written on the sign outside. I ordered a Sapporo Classic medium-sized beer. It was served in a small dish with crushed boiled anchovies. It goes well with beer if you sprinkle soy sauce on it. Then, a three-item appetizer platter appeared. There was a small rolled omelet and tuna sashimi on a bed of rice, but what is this on the right? It has a strange texture and taste. I have no idea (laughs) The waitress explained when the dishes were served, but I wasn't listening (laughs) The tuna is oddly angular and slippery, making it hard to pick up with chopsticks... The rolled omelet disappeared in an instant... (laughs) Here, I misunderstood. I had to order the delicious udon as an extra, right? I thought it automatically appeared as the last dish because it was written at the bottom. Since I wasn't satisfied, I hesitated a lot, but should I eat the "kake udon" too? After all, even the kitsune udon costs 693 yen. The kake udon that appeared... the bowl is surprisingly large. It seems like a lot for the last dish... But the soup with strong dried bonito flavor and the smooth, chewy udon are... really delicious (laughs) Seriously delicious. This udon. Once you eat this, you won't be able to eat Hokkaido udon, which tastes too salty... (laughs) It came to a total of 1,276 yen, which is like dinner... There was a delicious udon restaurant in the street. It is located on the east side of Marui Imai department store on South 1st Street, on the 2nd basement floor of a commercial building called Sapporo Shanty. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with counter seats and table seats. I visited the restaurant alone and was seated at a small table for two. The menu displayed at the entrance includes lunch options that cost around 1000 yen. I chose the set meal with meat udon and five-item rice for 900 yen plus tax. The menu offers free extra noodles for udon and free extra rice for rice dishes. The meat udon was served in a large bowl with clear and delicious broth with a hint of bonito flavor. The broth was light and tasty, and the sweetly seasoned beef belly had a satisfying volume. The udon noodles were not too thick or too thin, with a smooth and chewy texture. The tempura included kamaboko, green onions, and half-cooked egg with a runny yolk. The five-item rice was moist and flavorful, unlike other dry rice dishes. Condiments such as fried tempura crumbs, grated ginger, and chili pepper were provided on the table for customization. I particularly enjoyed adding plenty of ginger to my meal. The hot udon warmed me up in the cold weather of Sapporo.

Workplace year-end party. Just like last time, we left it up to the regulars, and there were a lot of coupons and discounts, so we were able to drink really cheaply (o^^o). We ordered: - Tempura of red daikon, oysters, and large leaf red turnip tempura - Oden with daikon, eggs, thick fried tofu, and tofu (only 2 eggs, so we asked them to cut them in half) - Tempura of burdock, yellow onion, and shiitake mushrooms - Bukkake udon and kake udon - Beer, hot sake, and otoshi This time, we finished with udon. Both cold and hot. The noodles had a great texture, as expected! It's a quiet and adult place. We were really able to drink slowly. Thank you for the meal~
