Three women went skiing at Onze in February 2018. One of them, the niece, usually snowboards but decided to ski with her aunts this time. After having ramen, they skied freely until the niece had to leave for work in the evening, agreeing to meet up at "Lily Hut" later. The first to arrive, one of the women ordered the "Shaka Shaka Potato Fry" for 300 yen from the hut's owner. The fries came in different flavors, and they chose butter soy sauce. After a short wait, they all gathered and received their fries in a paper bag, shaking it before eating. The fries were warm and delicious, quickly devoured. The women wanted to have beer, but it wasn't sold outside. They watched young elementary school kids carrying their heavy ski gear in backpacks, cheering them on. The women then left, reflecting on how nice it is to eat outdoors on such a beautiful day.

On the first day of the three-day weekend in July. From July 18th (Saturday) to July 20th (Monday), the "Ouns Harukayama Lily Garden" will be hosting the "Otaru Lily Festival". I didn't know much about this "Ouns Harukayama Lily Garden" to begin with, but according to their website, this season marks their third year. The festival has been open since July 11th and will continue until August 23rd. Despite the less than ideal weather, we decided to visit during the festival. Upon arrival, we found out that admission for non-residents is 800 yen for adults. The weather was drizzly, but the garden was not too crowded. We decided to focus on enjoying the lilies despite the weather. We opted to walk up the hill instead of taking the lift, which required an additional fee. At the top, we were able to see a beautiful view of the 45,000 lilies planted on the slope. We then stopped at a place called "Lily Hut" for some "Lily Soft Serve" ice cream. The ice cream was refreshing, but we couldn't quite figure out what made it "lily-flavored". Overall, the festival atmosphere was lacking due to the weather, but we still enjoyed our visit.

I heard about the Lily Festival at Ounzenski Resort in Otaru for the first time at this time of year! So, I went there ♬ The weather was a bit iffy, but luckily it didn't rain. The entrance fee was 800 yen, and the lift fee was around 500 yen? There were many beautiful lilies blooming on the slope, but honestly, it was a bit expensive (;^_^A The slope was too steep to climb! Before attempting to climb, I opted for the soft serve ice cream with Lily flavor for 360 yen. There was a long line at the hut, so make sure to buy a food ticket and wait in line. The white soft serve may look like a regular one, but the aftertaste surprisingly had a hint of Lily flavor⁉︎ Oh, it was a bit strange (laughs). There were children's play areas and a dog run, so we had a meaningful time there (^-^)
