Despite the prices, the reviews for this restaurant are quite mixed. The menu consists of ramen, Chinese set meals, giving off a typical Chinese restaurant vibe. What stands out more than the food is the prices, with many dishes ranging from 600 to 700 yen. These prices seem to be frozen in time, from around 10 to 20 years ago. As a customer, it's pleasing, but one can't help but worry if the restaurant is doing okay. The owner is a very nice and humble elderly gentleman. The Chinese chirashi (650 yen) consists of ingredients like cabbage, onions, shiitake mushrooms, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, minced meat, shrimp, and squid, all mixed together with egg, typical of a Chinese chirashi. The vegetables are stir-fried to give some charred edges, which I personally enjoy. The aroma and acidity of the pickled ginger add a nice touch. The flavor is soy sauce-based, not as sweet as it may look. It has a subtle taste, not too flashy, but I quite like it. In any case, it's a cheap restaurant popular among local government workers. One thing to note is that it's a rare find these days to allow smoking inside, with a limit of 3 cigarettes per customer, perhaps to control the stay time or for other reasons.
