It takes less than 5 minutes to walk from Sapporo Station North Exit. Located at NCO Sapporo, North 7 West 1, underground, is Hanamaru Sushi. I like this sushi restaurant because you can casually enjoy delicious sushi. This time, I visited to enjoy the robatayaki as well. I arrived about 5 minutes before the opening. There were 6 people waiting. After the opening, more people entered, but it seems you can enter without waiting. The seating is spacious and comfortable. There were lunch menus for sushi and robatayaki, but I decided to order my favorite items with some drinks. First, I ordered "Sapporo Classic Draft" (561 yen). Let's order some robatayaki. I ordered "Nishin" (748 yen) which is grilled right in front of you by the chef. It's a robatayaki made from one-night dried fish prepared in the restaurant. It's delicious with plenty of fat and cooked just right. Squeeze some lemon, add plenty of grated daikon, and enjoy. It makes you want to drink some sake. I ordered "Hokkai Daikai" (550 yen). For sushi, you write your order on a special sushi order form and hand it to the chef. I ordered mainly seasonal items. I ordered "Hachishu no Yakumi Tappuri Hon Katsuo" (418 yen) which is the seasonal first bonito. It's fatty and delicious. Enjoy it with plenty of green onions, myoga, and ginger. I ordered "Shinshoga Tappuri Ma Iwashi" (418 yen) which is already available despite it being early summer. It goes really well with shredded ginger. I ordered "Nikai Dete Hotate" (704 yen) which is one of my favorite items at Hanamaru. It's a thick and sweet scallop. It's delicious even with just one piece, but it's even better with two layers. I ordered "Negitoro" (286 yen) which has a good amount of fat. Both the chef and the floor staff at this Hanamaru were friendly and welcoming. Many people may have the impression that Hanamaru is always crowded, but the North Exit branch is quite a hidden gem. There is a subway entrance/exit near the building, so I returned to Sapporo Station through the underground passage (which seems to be directly connected). The 16th exit seems to be convenient!

It's a revisit. The previous best set for some reason is no longer available. It's a shame. There is a lunch set with 10 pieces of sushi or grilled fish and 8 pieces of sushi, and I chose the sushi 10-piece lunch set without hesitation! However, you can't choose your favorite toppings like before, and the amazing almond jelly dessert is no longer included. In return, the price is a little over 1,500 yen, so I was very satisfied. Feeling like it wasn't quite enough, I added some fried chicken, but it was a bit pricey at around 600 yen? Well, the fried chicken was delicious, but I wasn't sure if it was made with domestic chicken. The lack of a affiliated parking lot is a downside, right?

It was great that you could order various types of sashimi in small plates. They have a wide selection of sushi, from sets to individual pieces. The clams and squid were delicious, and the mountain wasabi was a nice touch of Hokkaido. Thank you for the meal.

Located at the north exit of Sapporo Station. Not a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Seafood is the main focus, but they also have fried and grilled dishes. It's more of a place to enjoy drinks and small dishes rather than having a full meal. The menu is extensive with items like Zangi, sliced herring, and many others. They don't offer all-you-can-drink, so you're not tied to a two-hour limit. Enjoying delicious sake and sashimi is the best here. The standard sake is served in a 180ml glass, while other drinks are in 90ml glasses. We ordered a bottle of shochu. It doesn't feel like a place for students, but it's a great concept for enjoying good drinks and seafood. It's a place where you can leisurely enjoy your drinks, not a bar hopping spot. However, you can have a fun and lively time in the bright atmosphere. I've already decided that I want to go there again. ❤️

I visited a nearby restaurant affiliated with Karamaru as the main branch was crowded with foreigners and the reception ends at 8 pm. The entertainment aspect of the conveyor belt sushi was lacking, but the food was delicious. Next time, I want to go to Karamaru early!

Today, I visited Sushi and Robatayaki Shikihana Maru Kitaguchi store located at the north exit of JR Sapporo Station. I ordered the seasonal nigiri set (7 pieces) for 1700 yen, along with Hokkai Goma for 620 yen and a Super Carbonated Angle Highball for 520 yen. The sushi included rare ingredients like Suji-ko and was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the feast.

On a Saturday evening in July, my friend and I entered the restaurant without a reservation. We sat at the counter where we could watch the sushi being prepared and grilled dishes being cooked, which was very enjoyable. The menu had a variety of dishes from Hokkaido that we wanted to try, and they were both satisfying and reasonably priced. We had a salad with lots of onions, zangi, scallop grill, fresh hokke fish, and a sushi platter with 7 different kinds. We left feeling very satisfied.

A large store located on the basement floor of a building. I tried to make a reservation over the phone a few days ago, but it was fully booked on Friday night. After taking a day trip bus tour from Sapporo Station to visit gardens, I visited without a reservation. There were three groups waiting, but we were seated in about 10 minutes. The menu is extensive, making it hard to choose. The grilled Atka mackerel we ordered was large and had plenty of meat.

I entered the restaurant close to the lunch break of the long-term care welfare worker practical training. It was before 1 pm on Saturday and the inside of the restaurant was quiet and comfortable. I had a 10-piece lunch set. 1. Salmon sashimi boat - I accidentally poured too much soy sauce, but it was delicious. 2. Squid - tender even without cuts. 3. Komai-ko (baby fish) - tasty, had it after a long time. 4. Tuna - fresh and cut with slits to blend well with soy sauce. 5. Bouzu Ginpo? - first time trying it! 6. Flounder - no fishy smell, delicious. 7. Salmon - large pieces of fish, great. Cut with slits to blend well with soy sauce. 8. Octopus - tender. 9. Sweet shrimp - small but sweet. 10. White fish - couldn't tell what fish it was after eating. Forgot to look up the name. Light and tasty though. Scallop miso soup - visually appealing, perfectly cooked scallops. Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) - smooth texture, subtle dashi aroma. Salad - average. Liked the dressing. It was delicious, but I couldn't help feeling it was a bit pricey compared to the cheaper options in Hakodate or Nemuro like Nemuro Hanamaru.

I made a reservation for tonight at this place near the north exit. It seems that places like Susukino were fully booked. I let my son B order his favorite dishes. He ordered a negitoro appetizer without rice. He really likes this kind of dish. I should try making it at home. The king crab "fundoshi" was very satisfying. He wanted to eat sea urchin and crab, so we got a perfect 7-piece assortment. I had mackerel and clams. The mackerel wasn't too vinegary, and the clams were delicious. The zangi had a perfect flavor, with a strong garlic taste and served hot. The spicy tuna roll with mountain wasabi was so spicy that it brought tears to my eyes. We finished with medium fatty tuna. It was a feast. The place started to get busier and busier.

This is my second time visiting. I made a reservation for Saturday night and the place was almost full, with 2-3 groups waiting. As the name suggests, you can enjoy sushi, sashimi, and robatayaki at a leisurely pace. The sushi was fresh and large! The robatayaki dishes were all delicious. It's the essence of Hokkaido! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

They have a call button making ordering very convenient and hassle-free. Although our seat was near the entrance, the inner décor is also modern and if you get a counter seat, you can also see the chefs at work. The menu is seafood-centric, but I personally enjoyed the Hokkaido style fried chicken along with the huge scallops and other great seafood, no wonder people wait in line to get a seat!

Visited Shiki Hanamaru Kitaguchi with a friend on a Friday. Despite the early time, we were able to get in without a reservation. We were seated at the counter and looked at the menu. The seasonal items on the menu were very appealing. We wanted to order everything from right to left, but we had limited stomach capacity. We started with the charcoal-grilled asparagus. It was sweet and crunchy. The scallop hama-yaki was also in season and had a tender texture and amazing aroma. I forgot to take pictures because I was too engrossed in the food! We also ordered recommended sashimi, sushi, and sake. The finale was a miso soup with large clams. The clams were surprisingly big and the broth had a rich flavor from the clams. It was elegant and gentle in taste. Thank you for the meal. I would love to visit again, perhaps in a different season.

Visited alone around 12:30 without a reservation. No smoking at the table but there is a smoking room in the store. I felt that the quality of the dishes and ingredients was high. The store is also clean and the service is good. I had Matsumae pickles, salmon roe, chicken tsukune, potato butter, and a 10-piece lunch set. I also had about 4 drinks. It's a izakaya in Obihiro.

I visited during lunchtime. It is located a short walk from Sapporo Station North Exit. It is on the basement floor of a building, so you can relax without the crowded atmosphere like at Stellar Place. There are various lunch menu options, from grilled fish set meals to sushi sets, and you can also order from the dinner menu. This means you can also order individual pieces of sushi! Today was my first visit, and I had a grilled salmon set with plenty of salmon, along with shiso, shirauo, and lastly ikura! In the current climate of rising prices, it was nice to be able to have ikura. The only downside was that my seat was near the smoking area, so the smell of cigarettes was a bit bothersome, but the sushi was delicious and the staff were polite, making the meal enjoyable. I will definitely come back! Thank you for the meal!

I can't believe that I could eat sushi and dried fish of this quality for around 1300 yen, not even reaching 2000 yen in my hometown. The miso soup was also delicious and luxurious. It wasn't crowded even during lunchtime, so it was a great choice! I was able to reserve a private room, so I could relax comfortably.

Arrived at the North Exit store at 7:15 PM on Sunday, but the main JR Tower was already closed for the day. Ended up at the izakaya run by the same company. The last order was at 8:30 PM, so I had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to be cleared. I only ordered sushi - Toro bincyo, seared salmon, sujiko, shimesaba with ankimo, and 2 highballs. The total came to 2,816 yen. While the cost performance was good, my brain was not completely satisfied. The sushi at the North Exit store was smaller than I expected. The ikura and ankimo were small. They were tasty but nothing special. I have been to other locations of Hanamaru in Tokyo and Sapporo before, with my most recent visit being in the spring of 2021 at the Ginza Tokyu Plaza store. I was really looking forward to this visit, but perhaps my expectations were too high. Maybe it's just the current situation that can't be helped.

I watched the broadcast of Kaitenzushi Hanamaru on TV yesterday, so I decided to visit today for lunch. I wanted to try both sushi and hikarimono, so I chose this place where I could have both. I started with an 8-piece nigiri set and added a mackerel hikarimono set. I also had smelt, whelk, and scallop. Even with just this, it was a little over 3,000 yen, but it was delicious at Hanamaru.

There are plenty of satisfying sushi lunch options for 1000-2000 yen at Sapporo Station North Exit! I used to think sushi lunches were expensive, but ever since I found out you can eat them for under 1000 yen, I've been exploring different places. It seems like a good choice when I have errands to run at the North Exit. (⁠・⁠o⁠・⁠)

One day in Sapporo. I went to Stella Place to check out Hanamaru Sushi, but as usual, there was a long line. I was thinking about where else to go when I remembered there was another Hanamaru nearby. It's located just a short walk underground from Sapporo Station. Surprisingly, even though it was a little after lunchtime, I was able to get in easily, unlike the other Hanamaru location. I ordered the lunch set and added one extra gunkan sushi. It cost me less than 2000 yen. The sushi here was just as delicious as the revolving sushi places! Not only the sushi, but the miso soup was also luxurious, making it the ultimate lunch. Unlike revolving sushi, you can't choose your favorite toppings, but the price is quite reasonable for what you get. It's truly amazing to be able to eat such quality food at this price.

Sushi and Robatayaki Shiki Hanamaru Kitaguchi store, fresh seafood set meal, fatty mackerel for 1,100 yen. Skipping bento and having lunch at Sapporo Station❤️ As always, it's the Kitaguchi store~❤️ On busy days, I go for the seafood bowl❤️ On less crowded days, I choose the seafood set meal❤️ They grill the fish on charcoal for the set meal❤️ Rice refills are free❤️ First, enjoy the fish with grated daikon and soy sauce❤️ Then, leave about 1/3 of the fish, add rice, get some tea-cured pickles, and finish with ochazuke❤️ It's the best❤️ Full and satisfied❤️ Thank you for the meal❤️ Oh, I just realized they didn't include a lemon that day.
