I used it while eating and walking around Sapporo yakiniku. I found it while walking around the city of Sapporo like a zombie looking for yakiniku because the restaurant I was aiming for was full. It was the 29th, which was Meat Day, but there was no one in the restaurant, which made me a little anxious. However, when I entered, it was just a normal yakiniku restaurant in town, which was good. The most memorable thing was the unexpected kimchi assortment. The kimchi assortment included perilla leaves, which was really rare. I visit over 100 yakiniku restaurants every year and order kimchi assortment at almost all of them, but I have never seen perilla leaves included, so I think the probability is about 1/300. Personally, I like perilla leaves, so I was quite impressed. On the other hand, I didn't have a particularly outstanding impression of the meat. Well, it's a reasonably priced restaurant, so I thought it was appropriate for the price. I have created a blog called "Yakiniku Encyclopedia" where I record and eat yakiniku restaurants all over Japan. I also eat yakiniku restaurants in Sapporo, so if you're interested, please check out the blog for more information.

I often visit this yakiniku restaurant and usually order the same items every time - sagari, gatsu hormone, negi shio tan, pig feet, yukkejang soup, and spicy ramen. The yukkejang soup here is amazing, it comes out bubbling and just makes me happy. The spicy ramen is also delicious, way better than making it at home. The prices are reasonable too, so I highly recommend it.

I visited the yakiniku restaurant Kanpachi located at the end of Gojo Street. Despite being close by, I decided to drop by in the evening. The restaurant was empty as it was around 6 pm. However, the service was lacking, with a not-so-friendly waitress asking us to order everything at once due to a reservation for a party later on. Even though the party had not arrived yet, the drinks and meat were brought to us carelessly, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. I had expected a more welcoming and friendly service from a small independent restaurant like this, but the experience felt worse than a chain restaurant. I left without ordering more, feeling disappointed after having a meal for the first time in a while.

Found a yellow neon sign right next to my accommodation! It says "Horumon"! Even though I'm already full, let's give it a try. Went with a friend, and as we approached the entrance, we saw the opening hours written: "Open until 11:30 PM". Looking at the clock, it was 11:21. We hesitantly opened the door and asked, "Is it okay to come in now?" There was a regular customer there, but the owner kindly said, "It's okay!" Even though we had already eaten and drank a lot in Susukino, we couldn't resist ordering some meat. The menu offered half sizes, so we ordered Gatsu, Upper Mino, Sagari, Tan Shio (with lemon juice and thinly sliced green onions), Oi Kimchi, Egoma Kimchi, and beer! Even though we were full, we enjoyed every bite. Everything was delicious. If I stay nearby again, I will definitely visit this place again!

I often stop by here. Everything is delicious in a heartfelt way. The atmosphere is not too lively, and I always eat while watching TV, feeling like I'm at home. I always order the Genghis Khan and liver sashimi. Thank you for the meal every time!

On August 13, 2016 (Saturday) from 9:00 PM in Sapporo, when you head west from the center of Susukino towards Minami 5-jo Nishi 9-chome, you will come across a vertical street. There you will find a place called Kinpachi, a local yakiniku restaurant with a long history. The name "Kinpachi" displayed prominently on the facade catches the eye. Since many restaurants are closed during the Obon period, I called ahead to confirm their opening hours. They were open, so I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. Upon entering, I found that a group of four had just left, leaving the tableware as it was. The place was practically empty, almost like a private dining experience! The interior of the restaurant had a kitchen space at the far end, a counter with a teppan for two, and three four-person table seats, including a raised seating area. They use gas for grilling the meat. - They offer Sapporo and Asahi bottled beers. - The whiskey highball was a bit light on the whiskey, without lemon. - Green tea was also available. - The salted beef tongue was tender and easy to eat, served with lemon sauce. - The marbled beef ribs had a good amount of fat, delicious with the sauce. - The sagari (skirt meat) had a rich color and was served with sauce. - The beef skirt was lightly seasoned and had a good texture, easy to eat without a strong smell. - The pork harami (skirt meat) was cut into thin strips and grilled easily on the iron grill. - The garlic oil grill had plenty of thinly sliced garlic in sesame oil. - They also served a delicious miso sauce for dipping. - The kimchi assortment included white kimchi, cabbage kimchi, and more. - The stone bibimbap was served in a hot stone pot with various vegetables and a separate seasoning. - The egg soup was flavorful with chicken broth and sesame oil, with a good amount of vegetables and beaten egg. During the Obon period, the restaurant was not crowded, with only a couple of foreign tourists visiting later. They ordered bibimbap and soup and left quickly. It was almost like a private dining experience, and I was lucky to enjoy the meal without the disturbance of cigarette smoke. The name "Kinpachi" is derived from the owner's name and the good luck associated with the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, where "kin" represents the gold medal and "pachi" symbolizes prosperity. This restaurant is a beloved place where you can enjoy a casual yakiniku meal.

In March 2016, I realized that there is a half-size option for all types of meat! So, I ordered a small rice and Chanja, and enjoyed eating it together! In a side note from 2012, I tried cold noodles for the first time. The noodles were similar to Morioka Reimen, but the soup had a unique taste that was neither Korean nor Japanese. It had a Western taste and when eaten with a half-cooked egg, it tasted like a mild carbonara! I couldn't resist eating meat at a yakiniku restaurant, so I had a plate of Namul and a highball. I enjoyed eating Himo, Sagari, and Seseri. Late-night yakiniku feels like a guilty pleasure. Thank you for the meal! In November 2010, I visited this restaurant with the owner of another restaurant after having drinks together. Despite the late hour, customers kept coming in, showing the popularity of this place. We ordered Himo Hormone, Beef Sagari, Beef Tongue, and Chanja. Even though we had already eaten, the fatty Himo Hormone was delicious. The beef Sagari marinated in sauce was juicy and tasty. The beef tongue was cut into easy-to-eat pieces. I hope to visit again with a proper appetite next time. Thank you for the meal!

Welcome! It's been a while since I last visited in November 2014. As always, I never take a break unless there's no baseball game. I'm full of energy, so I'm sitting at the counter with a glass of Kyoho Sour. The garlic yakitori is just perfect - the aroma of garlic while eating it is pure happiness. The garlic is crunchy and delicious. The scallion on the side is a nice touch, adding a savory flavor. The marbled beef ribs are so tender and flavorful, it melts in your mouth. The fatty parts are juicy and sweet. Eating while charging up with garlic is a great way to enjoy sake. The table was lively with familiar faces, it was a great time, thank you for the meal. In April 2008, I visited a rare yakitori place in a residential area near the Tempo shopping center. This place is a hidden gem with not many dining options around. I've been here a few times before. The counter is a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy the traditional menu, which also offers half sizes for solo diners. The owners, a couple, are always busy but manage to create a relaxing atmosphere. Starting with plum wine, the beef tongue stew is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth. The liver sashimi is fresh and generous in portion. The grilled meat is also served in a generous portion and is incredibly flavorful. The kimchi is spicy and sweet, a true Korean delight. The limited edition marbled beef was so tender and rich in flavor. The marbled beef ribs are full of flavor, and the grilled offal is rich and delicious. The Yukgaejang soup is spicy and filling. Late at night, the place is filled with familiar faces, making it a must-visit spot in the residential area. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I saw the reviews here and decided to go eat right away. As a fan of horumon (offal), the (himo) here was the best. I often eat yakiniku (grilled meat) outside, but for someone like me who can't do without salt horumon, the horumon at Kinpachi was exceptional and the best. Just writing this makes me drool, remembering the juicy deliciousness. It's a bit off the beaten path in Susukino, but not hard to find. Maybe I was lured in by the delicious smell of yakiniku. The restaurant has a calm and down-to-earth atmosphere, where you can relax and enjoy drinking.

This place is known for its delicious beef tendons, and I first visited about 20 years ago. It was popular even before the recent hormone boom. The beef tendons here are not too fatty like in Shimacho, they are really good. You can easily eat three servings by yourself. It used to be located on Nishitonden Street, but now it's tucked away on Gojo Street. There is a sign on the shutter during the day that says "please don't crash into us", which is true because if you fall asleep while driving on Gojo Street, you might end up here. In my opinion, the quality of a yakiniku restaurant can be judged by its side dishes. Here, you can enjoy raw liver and beef tendon sashimi. The kimchi, pickles, and namul (bean sprouts are delicious) are decent. The yukhoe and raw liver are cheaper here than elsewhere. It's a family-run business with lots of children, and you can see the parents and children playfully arguing. The wife seems to be in charge. The husband is tall and used to be on the volleyball team at Tokai University or somewhere similar. There are posters of the volleyball team inside the restaurant. Although I'm not a regular, I've seen the children grow up. It's comforting to visit such a place. I look forward to coming back in the future.

This restaurant is known for its delicious hormone dishes. They offer two types of hormone: a refreshing harami (skirt meat) and a chewy gatsu (stomach), both of which are always a must-try. Another favorite of mine is the liver sashimi. The cold noodles also have a satisfying texture and are always delicious. The restaurant is cozy with counter seats, table seats, and even a raised seating area, making it suitable for families. The friendly owner always greets customers warmly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. It's a great place to visit alone as well. They have a variety of drinks including shochu and beer, but I highly recommend trying the shochu with corn tea - it's delicious.
