I visited the restaurant after hearing a recommendation from a friend saying "It's delicious!" I ordered both the soup curry and regular curry to compare, and both were incredibly delicious! I even received a complimentary quail egg topping on the soup curry! I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

Today is the third day in Tomakomai. I'm thinking about lunch. I searched on Tabelog for information today. The first day was ramen and the second day was yakiniku, so today I'm having curry. It's conveniently close to my workplace so I decided to go there. They have both soup curry and roux curry, so it was a tough choice. I was in the mood for soup curry this time, so I decided on the chicken leg soup curry. The rice was 250g and there were plenty of ingredients. The chicken was tender and melted in my mouth. Personally, I would have liked to taste more spices. Thank you for the meal.

The next day at lunch, I suddenly felt like having pork cutlet curry! I searched to see if there was a restaurant nearby that serves it, and ended up finding one within the premises of a driving school. When I sat down and looked at the menu, no one came to take my order for a while. Eventually, someone brought me water and I found out that I had to place my order at the register. The food took a bit too long to arrive, but it was understandable as they seemed busy. The taste was quite delicious, with a good level of spiciness (level 10). The pork cutlet was finely cut, making it easy to eat. I would like to go back again. Thank you for the meal! (-人-)

Visited at 11:40 with no other customers. The BGM was American pop from the 80s, very lively. I had soup curry at the Nakano branch, so this time I went for the katsu curry. The friendly staff recommended a normal level of spiciness and 200g of rice. I also got some zangi to go. The staff brought it to my table. It was piping hot and delicious. The katsu was a bit lacking, but overall it was good. Bugus's katsu curry was better, so today's meal gets an honorable mention. Katsu curry: 800 yen, Zangi (5 pieces): 500 yen. On December 26, 2020, a self-service soup curry restaurant opened on the premises of an auto driving school. It operates like a food court where you order and pay at the counter, then find a seat and wait for your meal. I had the spicy chicken soup curry with 300 grams of rice. It had a beautiful presentation, a refreshing level of spiciness, and was quite hot. The chicken was tender and easy to eat with the provided chopsticks. They also offer roux curry, so I would like to try the pork cutlet curry or hamburger curry next time. The delicious soup curry was a feast. Thank you!

Tomakomai is the fourth most populous city in Hokkaido, but there are too few soup curry specialty shops! Recently, a few have opened, including this one. This is one of the two soup curry specialty shops that opened in Tomakomai, both located next to driving schools. It seems that this shop is run by "Bagus," which used to operate in Tomakomai. It was known for its authentic soup curry, so expectations are high. The interior is self-service with a ticket machine system. I ordered the Chicken Soup Curry with medium spiciness for 1,000 yen. The soup had a rich umami flavor with the sweetness and depth of onions, a hint of coconut, and a refreshing spice kick. The spiciness was quite strong even with medium heat. The ingredients were well-cooked but slightly warm. The slightly firm rice was in good condition. Despite the cafeteria-like style, the soup was delicious and had a good amount of spice. The price was reasonable. It seems like a promising shop, and the focus now would be on improving operations to ensure consistent quality.

"I found out that a new soup curry restaurant has opened. In the past, there was a restaurant called 'Soup Curry Bagus' in Tomakomai. However, it was absorbed into a Chinese cuisine restaurant to enhance its offerings, resulting in the closure of 'Soup Curry Bagus.' Now, two new curry specialty stores have opened, and I visited one of them. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a building next to the Tomakomai Driving School, where I had attended classes five years ago. The interior has a tropical theme, and the male manager runs the place alone. The payment is made upfront at the register. They offer different levels of spiciness, with mild being free, and extra spicy (+100 yen) and extremely spicy (forgot the name) available for additional charge. I chose extra spicy, while my wife went for mild. We received a numbered receipt and waited for about 15 minutes before being called to pick up our food. It's a self-service system, so we picked up our dishes at the counter and returned the trays after finishing. The dishes were served on a tray with rice on the left and curry on the right, along with a separate plate for bones. I rearranged the setup to fit my right-handed eating style and took the first sip of the soup, finding it rich and slightly sweet, but not overwhelming. The chicken was tender and easily came off the bone. The vegetables were deep-fried, but I prefer them stewed rather than fried. The extra spicy curry started mild but built up heat as I ate, causing me to break a sweat by the end of the meal. Despite complaints from some locals that soup curry doesn't suit Tomakomai, there were other customers enjoying curry at the restaurant. It's a convenient spot for students attending the driving school, and I hope the restaurant continues to thrive in the future."

Normal curry (550 yen including tax) is cheap, possibly due to self-service for both food and water. I think it's easy to eat and delicious.

The food is lukewarm but tasty.
