It's cold today. For dinner, I decided to go with a bento series. I plan to buy some fried chicken at Yum Yum ◯ on my way home. Actually, I was supposed to buy a seaweed bento at Hotto Motto right next to it. But unfortunately, the store disappeared because Yum Yum ◯ opened nearby. I really wanted to eat the seaweed bento, so I drove an extra 5 minutes to buy it. I also thought I should eat some vegetables, so I will also buy a fresh salad on the way back! I thought I might have to wait a bit, but the seaweed bento was ready in no time, so I quickly went to the next Yum Yum ◯! I got the fried chicken and now I will enjoy the seaweed bento with fried chicken as the side dish! First, I'll start with the salad! I'll munch on the leaves like a bug. This is actually quite delicious! Healthy and tasty ^_^ Next, it's time for the reliable seaweed bento. Crispy fried white fish, oily and juicy fish cake, sweet simmered kombu under the seaweed, harmonizing with the sautéed burdock, all for 300 yen. Being Japanese is great, right? This is the kind of meal that you immediately crave again. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

I visited for lunch. I think it's been about 5 years since I last came here. This time, I ordered the "Beef and Pork Cutlet Bowl" that was featured in a commercial. I was curious about it, so I ordered it without hesitation. I took it back to my workplace and ate it right away. The bento is best when it's freshly made. It's delicious to eat it while it's still hot. It's half pork cutlet bowl and half beef bowl. It feels like a good deal, but eating half of each somehow feels unsatisfying. Next time, I think I'll just go for a regular pork cutlet bowl! Thank you for the meal! 🍱

Sapporo, Nishi-ku, Hassamu. Along Shitainami Street, near Kotoni Kogyo High School, there is a Hotto Motto (with a parking lot behind the store). When you think of Hotto Motto, you think of nori bento! Sometimes, I just crave the nori bento from here. The nori bento has rice with nori and okaka sandwiched in between, and the side dishes are separated from the rice, which I like. I enjoy the simple side dishes like white fish fry, chikuwa tempura, and soft kinpira gobou. The fish fry comes with Worcestershire sauce that you can pour over, adding a bit of flavor to the rice. The nori bento costs around 380 yen, or 420 yen with miso soup, which is a great deal. It's convenient for when you're short on time and can be quickly grabbed on the go. Despite occasionally considering other bento options, I always end up choosing the nori bento because of its unique charm. I've used this store several times as it's located on a street I frequently pass by. The staff is efficient and friendly. I'll definitely be using this store again.

Hello, I occasionally use this place. It's convenient now that you can order online in advance. Today's order is the classic seaweed bento from Hokaben! My companion is the classic fried chicken bento. I don't pay attention to special or limited edition items. Back in the day when the Hokaben wave reached Hokkaido, I compared which seaweed bento was cheap and delicious. It was in the early 1980s. I tried various places like Hokka Hokka Taishotei, Akane-chan Bento, and Kamadoya. The fried white fish and chikuwa tempura were pretty much the same everywhere. Why do they put spaghetti under the fried chicken? It doesn't have any flavor. Maybe it's necessary, but I don't understand the reason. Hmm, the taste is the same as always. But I feel like the rice here is a bit less compared to other places. Maybe it's just me?

Due to my hospitalization, I had taken a break from posting on Tabelog for about four years. Hokkaido was the first in the country to declare a "state of emergency" on February 28. Initially, it was only a self-restraint on weekends, but now it has been extended to weekdays as well. Due to self-restraint, the stock of reviews has decreased significantly. I decided to actively review past reviews, including closed stores. I visited this restaurant for the first time with my usual companion for lunch. The restaurant is located in the Hassamu area of Sapporo's Nishi Ward, along Shimoine Street. Please check the exact location of the restaurant on Tabelog. I visited around 1:30 PM on a weekday. There were no customers before or after us. The restaurant is quite spacious for a "Hotto Motto" branch. Hotto Motto does not have pre-made bento boxes. Everything is made to order after you place your order. It is often difficult to visit during lunchtime without a reservation. During the period, the "Sukiyaki Don with double the beef" was available. At 490 yen, it is on the higher side for Hotto Motto. Personally, I prefer the "Nori Bento" that suits my lifestyle, which is cheaper. (laughs) I ordered the "Sukiyaki Don with double the beef" for 490 yen and the "Miso Soup" for 100 yen. After waiting for about 7 minutes, my usual companion received the order. Sukiyaki Don with double the beef Weight: 427g (after removing the packaging) Limited-time product Naturally, it has a sukiyaki-style seasoning. The taste is not too strong, suitable for everyone. The ingredients include beef, tofu, shirataki noodles, mizuna, burdock, enoki mushrooms, and a packet of shichimi togarashi (seven-spice blend). Price: 490 yen (tax included) Miso Soup Weight: 264g (after removing the packaging) The ingredients include pork, carrots, potatoes, burdock, and daikon radish. It has a decent amount of ingredients. It comes with a packet of shichimi togarashi. Price: 100 yen (tax included) The "Sukiyaki Don with double the beef" was a good deal with double the beef for a limited time. It was a satisfying choice with a sense of value. I am weak to the word "limited edition," and this was the right choice. (laughs) The "Miso Soup" was reasonably priced. While the miso soup at the popular "Arinko" in Sapporo is better, it was priced at 240 yen at the time. For 100 yen, this miso soup is more than sufficient. Freshly made bento boxes are delicious. Hotto Motto is convenient in many ways. Next time, I might try my all-time favorite winter limited edition "Fried Oyster Bento" at Hotto Motto. Thank you for the meal.

Welcome! This is Hokaben located along the Shimo-Ina River, towards Teine, from Nishi-ku. I decided to try it after seeing Nori and Todowara enjoying demi-hamburgers. Even in the afternoon, there was a short wait for a table. I was tempted by the lunch specials and seasonal dishes. I chose the Nori Bento with taro fry, tempura, kinpira, and seaweed rice. The chiku tempura was a favorite of mine. The eel rice bowl came with three pieces of eel, sauce, and wasabi. The eel was a bit firm but tasty. The quality was reasonable for the price. The rice was delicious, which made the eel taste even better. Thank you for the meal! Oh, I didn't end up trying the hamburger!

"Hotto Motto Hassamu" was a close call with my attitude almost slipping, but I managed to hold back. As I was alone in Sapporo, I stopped by for ramen in Konoe before heading to my destination. I needed to refuel, so I searched for a gas station nearby using Google and made sure it wasn't too out of the way. On the way, I spotted "Hotto Motto" and couldn't resist stopping by, even though I had work to get to. The small "Hotto Motto" had a woman waiting, and I quickly decided to just order the curry roux. Despite a moment of hesitation, the staff maintained their professionalism and quickly served me. I don't plan on buying a lot each time, but I might stop by for takeout when I have the chance. I opted for just the roux this time, which was a bit watery but had a good balance of spice and acidity. It could have been a bit spicier, but overall, it was a tasty curry without unnecessary sweetness.
